What is the Disney100 Decades Collection?
The Disney100 Decades Collection is a series of monthly merchandise collections created for the Disney 100 Years of Wonder Celebration (AKA Disney100). Each month explores different eras of The Walt Disney Studios, starting with February’s 20s Collection (The Walt Disney Studios was founded in 1923), featuring merchandise inspired by Disney productions from that time.
Now, let’s move on to the Disney100 Decades 2000s Collection!
The Princess and The Frog – Louis and Ray Glow-in-the-Dark Loungely Mini Backpack ($88)
Bayou-based buddies Louis and Ray perform a rollicking trumpet and accordion duet on the front of this Loungefly mini backpack. With the starry sky and the Evening Star (AKA Ray’s “Evangeline”) as a backdrop, Ray’s firefly friends dance through the swamp grass, which hides the bag’s front zippered pocket. And fittingly, the stars and fireflies glow in the dark.
On the backside, some of Ray’s relatives play makeshift instruments to accompany the friends.
For the lining, you’ll find a pattern with silhouettes of Louis, Ray, and Evangeline, each framed by a group of water lilies.
Enchanted Ear Headband for Adults ($44.99)
Inspired by the makeshift gown crafted from curtains, this dainty Ear Headband features embroidered floral filigree on the ears, finished off with a lace trim. Amongst the flowers, you’ll also spot Giselle’s squirrel friend, Pip. A gathered bow and faux flowers sits at the center of the band.
A metal Disney100 Decades plaque is fastened to the side of the band.
The Emperor’s New Groove – Yzma as a Cat Plush ($29.99)
Eartha Kitt’s memorable performance as the villainous emperor’s advisor-turned-kitty is immortalized in this adorable yet menacing plush. The plush stands 11 and a half inches tall and holds a toy vial of the transmogrification potion in her paw.
Like the other plushes in the Disney100 Decades Collections, Yzma comes packaged in Disney100 Decades-branded mesh bag.
Bolt MagicBand+ ($64.99) – PREORDER
The heroic canine Bolt takes center stage on the MagicBand+ created for the Disney100 Decades 2000s Collection. His likeness is used on the puck and the band, where he is also joined by Mittens the cat. This MagicBand+ is limited to 4,300 pieces and is available to preorder now with an expected ship date of October 30, 2023.
Pixar Pin Set ($29.99)
Given how many films Pixar released during this decade, making a pin set with several titles instead of focusing on just one makes sense. This limited-release 4-piece set features Boo from Monsters, Inc., Nemo from Finding Nemo, Edna Mode from The Incredibles, and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story 3. The pins come attached to a logo card with concept art for each character.
