It’s July, and we’ve passed the halfway point in the Disney100 Decades Collection and arrived at the 70s! This month’s release includes merchandise featuring The Muppets, The Aristocats, The Rescuers, Robin Hood, and Pete’s Dragon. Get ready for some groovy nostalgia!
How to Buy the Disney100 Decades 70s Collection
This collection launches on shopDisney on July 17 at 8am Pacific. Guests to Disney Parks will find these items in select stores on the same day.
What is the Disney100 Decades Collection?
The Disney100 Decades Collection is a series of monthly merchandise collections created for the Disney 100 Years of Wonder Celebration (AKA Disney100). Each month explores different eras of The Walt Disney Studios, starting with February’s 20s Collection (The Walt Disney Studios was founded in 1923), featuring merchandise inspired by Disney productions from that time.
And without further ado, let’s explore the Disney100 Decades 70s Collection!
The Muppets Loungefly Mini Backpack ($88)
- It doesn’t get more “70s” than The Muppets‘ Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, the psychedelic band from The Muppets. This colorful Loungefly mini backpack perfectly encapsulates the over-the-top style that the group is known for. The bag’s front zippered pocket is shaped like a drum with the band’s logo on it and the gang bursting out from behind it in the background.

A vibrant yellow fringe hangs along the sides. And on backside, art advertising the band hides on the bottom corner while a “Diney100 Decades” patch is sewn at the top.

The band’s many members are highlighted on the mini backpack’s lining.

The Aristocats Ear Headband ($39.99)
The Disney100 Decades 70s Collection’s Aristocats-inspired Ear Headband is one of the most original designs used in any of the monthly releases so far. Replacing the traditional headband bow, Duchess and O’Malley use the headband’s center as a dancefloor. Meanwhile, some talented feline musicians provide the music from their positions of the ears on a sequined background.

One side of the band has embroidered music notes, while the other has the standard “Disney100 Decades” metal tag.

The Rescuers Plush Set ($29.99)
The Rescuers’ Miss Bianca and his lovestruck partner Bernard have been dispatched by the Rescue Aid Society to join your toy shelf. And little Evinrude, the dragonfly, has come along as support (I love that Disney included a plush of him!). The mice come resting in a leaf “boat,” piloted by Evinrude.

And for storage purposes, the set is packaged in a reusable “Disney100 Decades”-labeled drawstring bag.

Robin Hood MagicBand+ ($64.99)
This limited-edition MagicBand+ (4,300 pieces) is themed to Robin Hood, his merry men, and other beloved characters from the animated film. The most visible characters are Robin Hood and Maid Marian, set on opposite sides of the band, making “goo-goo” eyes at each other. Others include Little John (in disguise), Allen A’Dale, Sir Hiss, Prince John, Skippy, Sis, and Toby. The puck is decorated with the movie’s logo, Robin’s cap, and Prince John’s crown.

Pete’s Dragon Elliott Pin Set ($29.99)
Before Elliott was the star of Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade, he was just a humble, occasionally-invisible dragon from the film Pete’s Dragon. You can celebrate our beloved friend’s historic roots with this limited-release 3-piece pin set. Unlike the rest of the Disney100 Decades 70s Collection, this set will release on July 18 rather than July 17.
