We’ve already seen several merchandise collections created for the Disney100 Celebration. However, the Disney100 Decades 20s Collection is slightly different as it is the first installment of this year’s monthly merchandise lines focusing on specific eras of Disney creativity. Like Mickey’s Main Attraction series from last year, this collection releases a new set of merchandise tying into a similar theme (in this case, the different decades of Walt Disney Studios) each month for 10 months. The first installment, the 20s Collection, launched on shopDisney on February 20 at 7am PST. We’re giving you a little preview below…

Mickey Mouse Steamboat Willie Loungefly Mini Backpack ($88)
The front pocket on this backpack is shaped like a film reel that actually rotates with different characters (and a boat) from “Steamboat Willie” depicted on it. Both the side pockets and the straps resemble film strips. And all of these details are in a black-and-white color scheme matching that of the classic Mickey Mouse cartoon short.
Mickey Mouse Steamboat Willie Ear Headband ($39.99)
The Ear Headband for this collection features a rope trim along the band and around the ears. Buttons shaped like music notes and life preservers add a bit of “pop” to the scenes on the front and back of each ear. A small metal plate on the band’s side reads “Disney100 Decades,” and a sewn tag that notes it is from series 1 out of 10.
Mickey Mouse Steamboat Willie MagicBand+ ($64.99)
This Limited Edition MagicBand+ has all the bells and whistles of other styles and the added bonus of being decorated with Steamboat Willie and Pegleg Pete.
Mickey Mouse Steamboat Willie Pin ($29.99)
This Limited Release trading pin has several different pin-on-pin elements, with the title card, steering wheel, and Mickey all on different layers.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse Steamboat Willie Plush Set ($44.99)
For the plush set, our favorite mouse couple is presented in the same monochromatic as the rest of the Disney100 Decades 20s Collection. The plushes use a variety of fabrics and include embroidered details to recreate the look from Walt Disney’s “Steamboat Willie.” Mickey and Minnie are sold as a pair and come packaged in fancy “Disney100”-labeled drawstring bag made from what appears to be organza.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse Steamboat Willie Musical Boat ($59.99)
The most creative of items for the Disney100 Decades 20s Collection is, no doubt, the Steamboat Willie Musical Boat. This playset includes four figures (Mickey, Minnie, a cow, and a goat) and a wind-up key. The boat itself plays music and is on wheels. With tin wind-up toys being a popular plaything in the 1920s, the inclusion of this piece feels particularly thoughtful.
What’s Coming Next Month?
New installments of the Disney100 Decades Collection will be released on the third Monday of each month. And next month’s is the Disney100 Decades 30s Collection, themed to “The Band Concert!”
