Disney Cruise Line has been very busy with FOUR new ships on the horizon: The Disney Treasure debuting in December 2024, the heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny setting sail in 2025, the Disney Adventure that will homeport in Singapore starting in 2025, and the still-unnamed ship which will cruise in Japan beginning in 2029.
Let’s start with the latest details about some magical spaces aboard the very different Disney Adventure.
UPDATED 10/16/24 with Disney Adventure news
Disney Adventure
When the Disney Adventure sets sail from Singapore on Dec. 15, 2025, it will be unlike any other Disney ship – and for good reason. The ship was acquired during construction from another cruise line. This was both a challenge and an opportunity for Disney to reimagine one of the biggest ships at sea in a Disney style. The results are grand and unique.
Here’s a first-look video of the concept for the Imagination Garden atrium:
Disney Imagination Garden
One of the Adventure’s seven themed areas is Disney Imagination Garden, the ship’s central hub which is designed as an “immersive, enchanted valley” inspired by Disney adventures.
The highlight of the open-air garden will be a three-deck-tall castle – a first-of-its-kind art piece on a Disney Cruise Line ship. The space will also include a state-of-the-art theatrical stage, two quick-service eateries, a bar, and garden-view staterooms.

“Disney Imagination Garden is the heart and soul of the Disney Adventure, where our guests will interact with our Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories in a whole new way,” said Imagineering Portfolio Executive Creative Director Laura Cabo. “The size and scale of this space provided us with so many opportunities to dream big and try new things with our experiential design, creating first-of-a-kind experiences for our guests, from all-new entertainment to delicious dining and lots of magical surprises sprinkled throughout. Rooted in the rich legacy of Disney storytelling, we’re creating an area that will open doors to new adventures and encourage guests to create magic of their own.”
What to Expect In Disney Imagination Garden
Designed to represent pages of a pop-up storybook, the landscapes of Disney Imagination Garden will be styled to look like paper cut-outs, including shaped topiaries and scenic props like trellises and lanterns. Passengers will spot popular characters and designs from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories throughout the area.

At the top of the grand staircase, a charming garden courtyard and bar will be surrounded by storybook cut-out trees and images of familiar animal pals like Apu from “Aladdin,” Meeko from “Pocahontas,” Mushu from “Mulan,” Chip ‘n’ Dale, and the Cheshire Cat. A Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse topiary at the center is “conjuring this magical garden where beloved characters and stories bloom to life.”

Garden Stage
Throughout the day, live shows, character appearances, and “magical surprises” will appear on the state-of-the-art Garden Stage, which features three-deck-high LED screens, special effects, and innovative theatrical tools.

One of the signature entertainment experiences will be Avengers Assemble, an action-packed show with stunts, special effects, and the one-and-only Deadpool making his Disney Cruise Line debut (that guy is EVERYWHERE!)

Marvel Super Heroes and Villains at Sea will showcase an epic battle between Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, The Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Loki, Red Skull, Taskmaster, and more.

Disney Adventure – Garden View Staterooms
A unique feature on the Disney Adventure is an all-new room category for Disney Cruise Line: Garden View Staterooms. These inside cabins won’t be “inside” at all, but instead of ocean views, will have access to verandahs providing views of Disney Imagination Garden.

Adventurous Dining
Disney Imagination Garden will be the location of two quick-service eateries, one inspired by “The Jungle Book” and the other by “Moana.” Both will offer indoor and outdoor seating (guests dining on either patio will have a view of the entertainment on the Garden Stage).

- Mowgli’s Eatery – Inspired by Mowgli’s epic journey in “The Jungle Book,” the restaurant will draw on early concept art from the film and authentic regional design influences. It will offer a menu featuring Indian cuisine (including vegetarian and regional dishes with a Disney twist).
- Gramma Tala’s Kitchen – Featuring décor inspired art and backgrounds of ”Moana” and a menu showcasing the flavors found throughout the Pacific and Asia

Seven Themed Areas
In addition to Disney Imagination Garden, the Disney Adventure will offer six other themed areas:
Disney Discovery Reef is themed to characters and stories “The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Luca.”

San Fransokyo Street family entertainment area inspired by “Big Hero 6.”

Wayfinder Bay pool area reflects the Pacific Islands as seen in “Moana.”

Town Square is a celebration of Disney royals with nods to “Tangled,” “Cinderella,” “Frozen,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “The Princess and the Frog,” and more.

Marvel Landing, with all-new attractions and experiences that showcase favorite Super Heroes, including an all-new roller coaster at sea.

Toy Story Place, a water play area where the world of “Toy Story” movies comes to life.

More Disney Cruise Line News
We all know the fun never stops on a Disney cruise, but it seems the work never stops at Disney Cruise Line as they steam ahead on an impressive line-up of new ships and experiences.

Lucky 13 – More Disney Ships!
As excited as we are about the Disney Adventure (and Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny), Josh D’Amaro surprised everyone during D23 with the announcement that Disney Cruise Line will be adding FOUR MORE SHIPS to its fleet by 2031… that’s a total of 13 Disney Cruise ships (more than the number of theme parks!)

Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point (2024)
Earlier this summer Disney Cruise Line debuted its second island destination in the Bahamas, and our very own Dusty Sage hit the sand running to check out all the food, drinks, merch, entertainment, and splashy fun cruisers will find across the island.

Disney Treasure (2024)
Another sister ship to the Disney Wish is the Disney Treasure, which will sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries out of Port Canaveral, Florida, beginning Dec. 2024 (bookings opened Sept. 20, 2023).

This ship features a lot of “firsts,” including an all-new exclusive Moana stage show, Haunted Mansion-themed bar, Coco-inspired dining experience, and adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Disney Treasure’s “The Tale of Moana”
The all-new Broadway-style show puts a twist to the original film, with a story narrated by the spirit of Gramma Tala that incorporates songs and dances from Tuvaluan, Tokeluaun, and Samoan cultures.

“The Tale of Moana” will also feature larger-than-life puppets and a brand-new song (“Warrior Face”) sung by Maui. But don’t worry, Moana fans, the show will also include the favorites like “You’re Welcome,” “We Know the Way,” and “How Far I’ll Go.”
During D23, Josh D’Amaro dropped details about how the production will present Moana’s battle with Te Kā.

“Te Kā will appear onstage as a 15-foot-tall puppet – the largest we’ve ever produced for a Disney Cruise Line show,” Josh told the Honda Center crowd.
Disney Treasure’s Haunted Mansion Parlor
The new immersive bar and lounge experience is being designed by Imagineers to capture the nostalgia of the beloved attraction with iconic pieces from Haunted Mansions at Disney parks worldwide and a continuously looping 30-minute ambient experience, including new music that blends the classic themes from the attraction with new arrangements.

Haunted Mansion Parlor will be in the space occupied by Hyperspace Lounge on the Wish.
Disney Treasure’s Plaza de Coco
Repeating the successful the theater-in-the-round style of Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Wish, the Treasure’s all-new Coco dining experience will feature Miguel and his family who perform beloved songs from the film.

Because the ship will be sailing 7-night itineraries, cruisers will experience two different shows, one that continues the story of Miguel and his familia where it left off on screen and a second in which Miguel reunites with his great-great-grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, by transporting them to Santa Cecilia for a Día de los Muertos celebration with the help of his magic guitar.
Disney Treasure’s Worlds of Marvel
Onboard the Treasure, the popular Worlds of Marvel dining experience introduced on the Wish, will include a brand-new storyline featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy called “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix.” During their second night at this dining location, guests will help Groot plan a surprise party for Rocket accented by the awesome music the band of super heroes is known for.

Diners will experience the “Avengers: Quantum Encounter” show on the first night of dining at this location.
Disney Treasure Costume Reveals
Josh D’Amaro wasn’t the only Josh making cruise news at D23. During a panel called “The Costuming Artistry Behind Disney Experiences,” costume designer Josh Winchester revealed the costumes for two new experiences onboard the Disney Treasure.
Periscope Pub
For the Periscope Pub inspired by “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” Josh explained that he took inspiration from the Disney attraction, which was his favorite as a kid.

“Something that’s really wonderful about the Disney Treasure is that its obviously celebrating Disney stories, but specifically, there’s this through line of celebrating classic Disney attractions…and Periscope Pub is a prime example of that,” Josh said. “It’s a bygone attraction, but still lives on in our hearts, so we wanted to stay true to the original costume, but elevate it.”
Here’s how he did it:
- The orange and red triangle motif is pulled directly from the original attraction costume
- Instead of just a shirt (like the original costume), he elevated it by adding a pea coat-inspired double-breasted vest with brass findings.
- Orange details are represented in faux leather
Josh said his favorite part of the entire look is the pin, which was created from the original attraction admiral caps’ emblem that was saved in Disney’s costume archives.

“What we were able to do is take one of the real ones, scan it, and create a new 3D model that we’re using as a pin,” he explained. “We changed the metal finish [and] the enamel color – and we changed the monogram to “P” for Periscope Pub – but it’s a little bit of Disney history (and a little Easter egg for anybody who may have been to the attraction years ago).”
Haunted Mansion Parlor
For the highly-anticipated Haunted Mansion-themed space, Josh stuck with the same philosophy of celebrating the attraction looks fans know, but elevating them.

“So obviously, the Haunted Mansion attraction costume is probably our most iconic, so we wanted to make sure that DNA was still present, but also ensure the Haunted Mansion Parlor had its own story [and] stands on its own as an experience.”
Here’s how he did it:
- The stripe on this shirt is supposed to evoke the wallpaper in the stretching gallery
- The lapels are in the shape of the bat wing, because bats are a major motif throughout the attraction
- Details are historically inspired, including the fabric for the vest inspired by old coffin lining.
- The bow ties are in a style reminiscent of late Victorian, early Edwardian mourning wear, but done in “Haunted Mansion” purple.
Like Periscope Pub, Josh’s favorite detail is something that could be missed if guests don’t know to look for it.

“The most exciting part is an accessory piece,” Josh explained. “People would wear it for all sorts of different reasons [but] people who work in the mansion are carrying around the skeleton keys filled with Easter eggs (some a little bit more obvious than others).”
One obvious one is the mansion’s bat stanchions serving as the bar holding the keys, but he promises lots of mansion iconography hidden throughout the keys. Plus, cast members will be able to choose from a selection of keys, so there will be many secrets to unlock.

UPDATED: Everything You Need To Know About The Disney Treasure Cruise Ship
Disney Adventure in Asia (2025)
While we’re really excited for the Japanese ship we mentioned above, another Disney ship will be the first in Asia. The Disney Adventure will home port in Singapore with 3- and 4-night itineraries sailing from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre for at least five years beginning Dec. 15, 2025.

The Adventure will have a capacity of 6,700 guests, compared to the Disney Magic and Wonder, which can accommodate approximately 2,700 guests and Disney’s Dream, Fantasy, and Wish that each have a maximum capacity of up to 4,000 guests.
“We’re bringing the magic of Disney Cruise Line to Asia for the first time ever,” said Sharon Siskie, Disney Cruise Line SVP and GM. “When they set sail on the Disney Adventure, guests will find incredible, immersive areas that bring the worlds of Disney, Pixar and Marvel to life in ways like never before.”
The Disney Adventure will feature seven themed zones, each featuring entertainment, activities, and dining.

Disney Imagination Garden: An enchanted “gathering space” showcasing over 100 years of Disney stories, featuring live performances on an open-air stage.

Disney Discovery Reef: A open-air themed shopping and dining area inspired by the worlds of “The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Luca.”

San Fransokyo Street: Inspired by “Big Hero 6,” this area will feature interactive games, activities, shops, cinemas, and more:
- Big Hero Arcade, a family gaming lounge with gaming experiences themed to the “big Hero 6” characters and inspired by classic and contemporary arcade games.
- Hiro Training Zone, an immersive training simulator that will allow groups of four to test their skills as they run, dodge, and block their way across a high-tech gaming floor.
- Baymax Cinemas will play Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm movies throughout each day and into the evening — including film premieres on the same day they debut on land — and classic Disney favorites, all on the big screen.

Wayfinder Bay: A poolside retreat reflecting the Pacific Islands’ artistry of Moana with stunning ocean views and a live stage show.

Town Square: A fantastical forest of shops, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues, including Royal Court, a grand, double-height entertainment lounge where guests will enjoy shows, activities, and character appearances. The ceiling will be an illuminated, stained-glass-style mosaic of Disney queens, princesses and heroines.

The Walt Disney Theater will stage two productions:
- “Disney Seas the Adventure” – When Captain Minnie Mouse hands the helm to Goofy, he sets sail on a journey to discover his own inner captain with the help of Disney and Pixar friends from “Finding Nemo,” “Frozen,” “Tangled,” “Hercules,” and more.
- “Remember” – An all-new musical spectacular developed exclusively for the Disney Adventure, will be a heartwarming tale featuring the robot duo from “Wall-E.”

Marvel Landing on the ship’s upper decks will offer “Avengers-level adventures” including three all-new experiences
- Ironcycle Test Run (an 820-foot-long roller coaster) – Guests will test-drive Tony Stark’s latest Ironcycle prototype on a thrilling high-speed circuit and be suspended up to 30 feet above the upper decks
- Pym Quantum Racers – Guests will steer Pym Tech-modified mini-cars on an oversized toy set track
- Groot Galaxy Spin – Guests will take a ride onboard a Nova Corp Bass Jumper, set to awesome music.

Toy Story Place: A whimsical water play zone with a family pool, whirlpools, water slides, and interactive features themed to “Toy Story.”
- Flying Saucer Splash Zone, families can wade into an oversized Pizza Planet toy set where the famous green Aliens have created splashy fun
- Toy Story Splash Pad water playground for toddlers and young children features the Toy Story pals reimagined as giant rubber bath toys.

One interesting “fun fact” is that the Adventure was not originally built by Disney. The partially-assembled ship was purchased from Dream Cruises in 2022 and Imagineers are adapting it to accommodate Disney Cruise Line’s signature spaces and experiences.
Disney Cruise Line’s signature rotational dining will include Hollywood Spotlight Club, Enchanted Summer Restaurant, Pixar Market Restaurant, and others.

Disney Destiny (2025)
The Disney Destiny will be themed to Heroes and Villains on the high seas, and we can’t wait!

So far, we know passengers will encounter characters and stories from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel, as well as theme park attractions, and that heroes and villains will include characters from The Lion King, Hercules, and 101 Dalmatians.
During D23: The Ultimate Fan Event, we learned that the Broadway-style stage show onboard the Disney Destiny will be “Hercules.”

The announcement was met with huge cheers and a live performance of “I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)” by Susan Egan, the voice of Meg in the movie (and incidentally, also the original Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway).

Recently, even more details emerged about the Disney Destiny, including its maiden voyage date, itinerary information, and a first look at its ‘Pirates’-themed pub. The ship will set sail on its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025, for a four-night cruise with stops at Disney Castaway Cay and the new Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Four and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean will follow.

Here’s your first look at the “Pirates of the Caribbean”-themed Cask and Cannon Pub, inspired by Disney Parks attractions worldwide!
