Disney Cruise Line’s next big adventure has just set sail. The Disney Destiny launched November 20, 2025 with a bold theme celebrating iconic heroes and villains—Black Panther, Spider-Man, Maleficent, Dr. Facilier, Cruella, and more.
Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about Disney’s newest cruise ship and what you can expect to experience on board.
We’ve been following the construction of this ship since it was first announced. And are excited to share the finished product with you.

What to Expect Onboard Disney Destiny
Hero Minnie will make her official debut aboard the ship, which is packed with surprises: an all-new Grand Hall inspired by Wakanda, immersive lounges, exclusive entertainment, a brand-new stage show, and new experiences featuring The Lion King, Hercules, and even Doctor Strange.
Setting The Stage – The Grand Hall
The Disney Destiny’s Grand Hall is inspired by the legendary world of Wakanda from Marvel’s “Black Panther.” The space features intricate designs and vibrant colors, with pillars inspired by Wakandan armor and a Vibranium-inspired chandelier that will generate show-stopping effects and fill the room with life and color.
The Grand Hall gets a Disney Cruise Line first, a Marvel character statue. The striking figure of T’Challa, from Black Panther, is located next to the grand staircase.
“It’s the same Grand Hall from the Wish and the Treasure, but with a Black Panther look and feel. Lighting is used to transform the space as needed. So if you see a hero or villain, lighting can be used to achieve the right dramatic effect.
The two-story, state-of-the-art venue will host a variety of interactive shows and events, including appearances by Dr. Facilier from “Princess and the Frog” and the God of Mischief himself.
Disney Destiny Dining Experiences
The Disney Destiny will offer three unique dining experiences as part of Disney Cruise Line’s signature rotational dining.
Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King:
Debuting onboard Disney Destiny is the first-ever musical dining experience celebrating “The Lion King” with live performances and a savanna-inspired venue.
“It always starts with the story,” said Jay Abruzzese, Imagineering creative lead. “So, we wanted to create an atmosphere that feels authentic to the story of ‘The Lion King.'”
According to show director, Paul Bryant (who created the Tales of the Lion King show for Disneyland), the Feast of the Lion King will be different than any version of the story you may have seen before.
“Our story of the cub who would be king…is told by two storytellers who step into different characters by putting a prop in their hand or a piece of costume on their body,” he explained.
According to Disney Cruise Line, the restaurant will have “Night 1” and “Night 2” menus for the purposes of Disney’s rotational dining, the show will only take place on Night 1. Passengers who dine in the Feast of the Lion King a second time during their cruise will still experience lighting, music, and scenic elements.
Both menus feature African-inspired dishes:
Heirloom Tomato Kachumbari – Golden beet caviar, nut and seed dukkah-spiced goat cheese, and pea tendrils
Cape Malay Shrimp Curry – Garam masala, turmeric, cumin-coconut curry sauce, aromatic basmati rice, cucumber sambal, and butter roti
Pan-seared Berbere-spiced Roasted Chicken – Jollof rice, fried plantains, blistered tomatoes, and green harissa sauce
Nala’s Roasted Pork Tenderloin – Black-eyed bean-chorizo casserole, fried yuca, thyme, and pickled purple onions
Pineapple Upside Down Cake – Moist yogurt cake, caramelized pineapple, cherries, and rooibos mousse
Warm Chocolate Malva Pudding – Sweet vanilla pudding, apricot jam, warm buttery cream sauce, and vanilla ice cream
The restaurant’s specialty cocktails are the Can You Feel the Rum Tonight? (Starr 7 Year Oak Aged Rum, Amarula Cream Liqueur, mango smoothie mix, a pinch of cinnamon, shaken with ice, and garnished with a fresh mint leaf) and the nonalcoholic Slimy Yet Satisfying (Sprite infused with lime gelatin and garnished with centipede and worm gummies).
Pride Land’s: Feast of the Lion King takes place in the theater in the round-style dining room which features the Frozen-inspired dining experience on the Disney Wish and the Coco-inspired dining experience on the Treasure.
Worlds of Marvel: Groot Remix
The Disney Destiny will feature the Worlds of Marvel storyline showcasing Rocket and Groot from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films that debuted on the Disney Treasure (though the Worlds of Marvel restaurant debuted on the Disney Wish).
During their meal, diners can engage with an “awesome mix” of songs, trivia, and interactive activities related to the Marvel Universe, creating an immersive environment for fans.
1923: A Restaurant Inspired by Walt & Roy Disney
This chic venue, which debuted on the Disney Wish and is also on the Disney Treasure, celebrates Disney’s animation legacy, featuring over 1,000 drawings, props, and animation tools. The artwork on display highlights the stories of heroes and villains from films such as “Hercules,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Big Hero 6,” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” among others.
There are also several extra cost dining experiences…
Elevated Adult Dining
The Disney Destiny offers an adult-exclusive dining area, including two premium dining venues and an attached lounge. Guests can enjoy Palo Steakhouse, which blends authentic Italian cuisine with a modern steakhouse experience, and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, featuring gourmet French-inspired dishes in a romantic setting. The Rose provides an elegant atmosphere for pre-dinner aperitifs or after-dinner cocktails, making it the perfect spot to unwind.
Even More Dining!
Families on the Disney Destiny can enjoy a variety of dining options for quick and convenient meals. Offerings include casual dining, quick bites, 24-hour room service, and gourmet cafes.
Edna Á La Mode Sweets:
Inspired by “The Incredibles,” this confectionery features handmade gelato, ice cream, and other treats within Edna Mode’s lab-themed setting.We’re told this venue will offer cookie dough gelato, a first for Disney Cruise Line.
passengers should note that, unlike the free soft serve ice cream on deck, everything here comes at an extra cost.
Edna Á La Mode Sweets is in the space occupied by the Inside Out-themed sweet shop on the Wish and the Zootopia-themed sweet shop on the Treasure.
Café Delights:
Two casual walk-up cafes will serve beverages and snacks:
- Café Megara: A “Hercules”-themed café with a “Greco disco” design, featuring nods to Greek mythology.
- Café Merida: Inspired by “Brave,” this café incorporates a Celtic design reflecting the Scottish Highlands.
Lounges
The heroes and villains theme continues to the highly-themed lounge areas on the Disney Destiny.
Cask and Cannon Pub
Cask and Cannon onboard the Disney Destiny invites guests to join the “Pirates of the Caribbean” for an evening of rum-fueled revelry.
The pub features decor inspired by pirate adventures, along with a menu of rare, specialty, and vintage rums, and exclusive “bootlegged” brews served straight from the barrel. We’ve also heard tales about a trove of looted libations served in a treasure chest. Drink Up, Me Hearties, Yo Ho.
On our tour, Imagineers shared that the map on the pub’s ceiling is a reproduction of original Pirates of the Caribbean artwork by Disney Legend Marc Davis (with a few extra DCL-esque touches).
Dead Man’s Chest – A new beverage experience for two will include drinks made with Zacapa 23 Solera Rum, Pineapple, Lime Juice, Agave Nectar, and Coconut Froth.
Cask and Cannon is located in the same space as Keg & Compass on the Wish and Periscope Pub on the Treasure.
Magical Mixology in the Sanctum
When guests enter The Sanctum lounge, inspired by Doctor Strange, they can explore the mystical side of Marvel.
This enchanting venue features a selection of unique cocktails, spirits, and coffees and decor inspired by the doctor’s New York Sanctum, including the Cloak of Levitation.
“We’re so excited to bring [the story of Dr. Strange] to life onboard,” said Beth Burkhardt, Imagineer and creative director for Disney Destiny. “We wanted to lean into the New York Sanctum in the film to inspire the lounge so you’ll recognize the window behind the bar, design details from the chamber of relics, and those suspended sorcery books like at Kamar-Taj.”
The menu features mystical cocktails and snacks, including:
Mirror Dimension – Stoli Elit Vodka, Lychee, Fresh Lemon Juice, Pink Peppercorn, and Eletricdust Buzz Rock.
This mesmerizing cocktail will be served in a special glass that reacts to touch, and an electrifying dust that will tingle your taste buds.
Circle of the Cosmos – Brunswick Aces Diamonds Gin, verjus blanc, and fresh lemon juice garnished with a lemon peel spiral
Vapors of Valtorr – Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup topped with berry-flavored bubbles
Stuffed waffles will be filled with custard cream or mixed berry compote.
The Sanctum is in the same space as The Bayou is on the Wish and Skipper Society on the Treasure.
De Vil’s Piano Lounge
An evening at De Vil’s piano lounge will be a lavish affair inspired by Cruella de Vil.
The adult-exclusive lounge features a Hollywood Regency aesthetic with red, black, and white decor, and offers trendy martinis, chic cocktails, and glamorous wines and bubbles – plus, Cruella herself will be on hand to mingle with her guests.
Fashionista – Freeze-dried strawberry and banana-infused Patron Añejo Cristalino Tequila with banana liqueur, agave nectar, and fresh lime juice clarified with milk and chilled. Served with strawberry shortcake popcorn (pictured above)
Fearless Sir Galahad – Free Spirits Non-alcoholic Bourbon, bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, and Angostura bitters finished with aromatic smoke (pictured below).
Passengers should note that De Vil’s is an adults-only lounge.
De Vil’s is located off the Grand Hall where Nightingale’s is located on the Wish and Scat Cat Lounge is located on the Treasure.
Haunted Mansion Parlor
While the Haunted Mansion Parlor made its debut first on the Disney Treasure in December 2024, it will also materialize onboard Destiny… but with a new cocktail menu.
The lounge offers a haunted lounge experience inspired by the classic Disney Parks attraction, with characters from the Haunted Mansion coming to life throughout the experience. There are 999 spirits here… and they’ve been dying to have you.
The Chilling Challenge – The popular drink on the Disney Treasure will feature all-new ingredients on the Disney Destiny, including Camus VSOP Cognac, Cointreau Noir, Joto Yuzu Sake, Orange Blossom Foam, and Edible Viola Flowers.
Exclusive Haunted Mansion Parlor mugs available only onboard the Destiny will feature Poseidon and a two-sided mug featuring a sinister siren who transforms into an elegant aqua.
Dedicated Spaces for Young Adventurers on Disney Destiny
Disney ships are known for taking great care of kids and teens. And the Destiny will carry on that legacy with some returning favorites and some heroic new offerings. The ship’s kids’ clubs provide engaging programming led by Disney-trained counselors so you can comfortably leave the kids to play with new friends and go off on an adventure of your own.
- It’s a Small World Nursery: This nursery provides care for infants aged 6 months to 3 years, with a whimsical design inspired by the classic Disney attraction, offering a safe and playful environment for the youngest cruisers.
- Disney’s Oceaneer Club: For ages 3 to 10, this club features themed areas around Marvel superheroes, Disney princesses, Star Wars, and Disney Imagineers, offering immersive play experiences and interactions with beloved characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse. It’s an expansive facility that your kids will want to spend their whole cruise in. It can be hard to drag them away from the Oceaneer Club.
- Edge: A vibrant space for tweens aged 11 to 13, designed like a New York City loft, where they can enjoy games, make new friends, and participate in fun activities tailored for their age group.
- Vibe: A stylish hangout for teens aged 14 to 17, where they can watch movies, play games, and engage in social activities, providing a trendy and relaxed atmosphere to connect with peers.
Adult Escapes
Now that we’ve seen what the Destiny has programmed for kids… what about the adults?
The Disney Destiny offers a variety of spaces for the really big kids (21+). The Disney Wish was criticized for not better defining kid and adult spaces and the Destiny takes strides to correct that a bit. From the chic De Vil’s Piano Lounge to the eclectic Cask and Cannon pub, adult guests can enjoy a range of beverages and settings designed for relaxation and entertainment.
For dining, adults can indulge in a selection of premium restaurants. Palo Steakhouse offers a fusion of Italian cuisine and modern steakhouse elegance, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement serves gourmet French dishes, and The Rose provides a stylish setting for aperitifs and cocktails.
Additional adult-exclusive spaces include:
- Quiet Cove: A serene retreat featuring an infinity pool, poolside bar, and café.
- Senses Spa and Fitness: Offering private treatment rooms, spa villas, and a state-of-the-art exercise facility.
- Untangled Salon: A chic venue for high-end hairstyling and beauty services.
- Hook’s Barbery: A unique men’s salon with a hidden bar for a distinctive grooming experience.
Disney Destiny Entertainment
As with its sister ships, the Destiny will have all sorts of entertainment – from theatrical shows, small acts, character performances and meet and greets, to thrilling adventures, dance parties, and trivia, there are seemingly endless opportunities to do something new. Announced so far…
- The Grand Hall: Inspired by Marvel’s “Black Panther,” this active space will host interactive shows featuring Disney and Marvel heroes and villains.
- Saga: A hub for family activities and evening entertainment, offering an interactive show featuring Maleficent.
- Walt Disney Theatre: Featuring Broadway-style productions of “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” starring Captain Minnie Mouse and Goofy.
Passengers onboard the Disney Destiny will also get to see the first Disney Cruise Line production of “Hercules.”
“As we started working the show, we talked about how we could make it different,” said Kevin Wilson, who co-directed and co-choreographed the show with his brother, Marcel Wilson. “We wanted the set design to be contemporary, we wanted the costuming to be extravagant, we wanted choreography to be current. We wanted those elements to feel fresh and new but it still had the heart and soul of the story everyone knows.”
The show will also feature amazing puppetry to bring the Titans and multi-headed Hydra to life on stage.
“One of the scenes in this film—and I love that we’re actually trying to do this on stage—is Hercules battle the Hydra,” said Jeff Conover, creative director of puppetry and articulation. “It seems like an insurmountable task; you kill one and then the next one comes up, and trying to do that live onstage almost feels insurmountable as well. We’re utilizing some technology in the Walt Disney World Theater that has never been used before—and not in any of our parks in a theatrical setting.”
Disney also announced that the role of Hercules will be played by Corey J. Bradford, who performed the character’s signature song,”Go The Distance,” at a media showcase.

Additional Entertainment Includes:
Character Meet & Greets: Guests will encounter iconic Disney villains such as Maleficent and Cruella de Vil, along with characters like Loki and Captain Jack Sparrow, through various shows and meet-and-greets around the ship.
Passengers can also expect villainous encounters with Dr. Facillier from “The Princess and the Frog.”
Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party: A nighttime event with live music and fireworks.
Hero Zone: Featuring “The Incredibles”-themed family competitions and sports.
Disney Uncharted Adventure: An interactive mobile experience with Disney and Pixar heroes.
Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas: Offering complimentary showings of classic and new films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and more. Two smaller theaters mean more viewing options.
Disney Destiny Sun-Soaked Adventures
Guests on the Disney Destiny can enjoy a variety of activities and relaxation options on the upper decks, featuring three themed areas originally introduced on the Disney Wish. These vibrant districts offer exciting water attractions, casual dining, and ample space to unwind in the sun.
The Mickey and friends district features seven pools across multiple decks, playful dining options.
For young children, the Pixar’s “Toy Story” water area offers a splash zone, wading pool, family waterslide, and a smoothie bar for refreshments.
AquaMouse Water Coaster
The AquaMouse attraction (versions of which are also on the Disney Wish and Treasure) introduces “Sing a Silly Song,” where Mickey and Minnie lead guests on a whimsical trek encountering Disney villains – each of which is transformed by song. This water ride features original music and playful surprises, offering a splash of fun and silliness.
The 760-foot-long water ride is perched above the upper decks of the ship and offers thrilling views of the ship and ocean below. An original soundtrack was written by Emmy award-winning composer Christopher Willis and lyricist Elyse Willis.
Heroic Disney Destiny Staterooms
Guests will find hero-worthy accommodations throughout the ship. Staterooms feature custom artwork depicting famous Disney legends.
Inside Stateroom:
You might think you need a verandah to really enjoy a cruise, but we’ve had some delightfully restful vacations in inside staterooms over the years. The Disney Destiny has some stylish interior accommodations.
Verandah Staterooms:
Spacious, functional staterooms featuring Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept and artwork featuring Disney heroes and legends. Imagineers shared that all the stateroom artwork was designed in a “comic book” style to enhance the ship’s heroes and villains theme.
Headboard designs will include scenes from Hercules, Big Hero Six, Brave, Mulan, Raya and the Last Dragon, The Incredibles, and Fantasia.
Luxurious concierge suites:
The spacious and well appointed concierge one-bedroom suites aboard the Destiny will draw their inspiration from Disney’s animated masterpiece, Fantasia. Guests of these rooms will also have access to a concierge lounge and private sun deck.
Royal Suites:
Inspired by Hercules and The Incredibles. The Royal suites are pure luxury.
The Incredibles themed suites have black and red decor and a mid-century vibe.
While the Hercules suites have a rich blue and teal theme.
And the bathrooms in the Royal suites are nothing short of stunning. A shower with an ocean view? Don’t mind if I do!
Iron Man’s Penthouse Paradise:
What’s better than a Royal Suite? How about a 2 story penthouse, the Destiny’s Tower Suite! The Marvel-inspired penthouse is inspired by Iron Man’s sleek style. Located in the ship’s forward funnel, this expansive (and expensive) suite offers breathtaking views and luxurious amenities, including a private elevator and full kitchen. The suite accommodates 8 guests comfortably in 2,000 square feet of living space!
Disney Destiny Cruise Ship By The Numbers
The Disney Destiny will be a Wish-class ship, similar in size and capacity to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, with a gross tonnage of approximately 144,000 and powered by liquefied natural gas. It will accommodate up to 4,000 passengers and 1,555 crew members. The ship features 1,254 staterooms, including 121 inside staterooms, 170 ocean view rooms, 877 verandah staterooms, and 76 concierge suites.
The ship’s bow artwork features Hero Minnie striking a valiant pose.
And, at the stern, Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots are the first-ever Marvel stern characters for Disney Cruise Line.
Setting Sail On The Disney Destiny
The Disney Destiny set sail on her maiden voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 20, 2025. Bookings for the Disney Destiny are open now, and our travel partners at Get Away Today are ready to assist you.
The four-night, maiden voyage includes island stops at Disney Castaway Cay and the new Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. An inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean follows, with each sailing to include a day at either Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay (some itineraries include both). Select cruises will feature more adventure and relaxation in Nassau, Bahamas, or Cozumel, Mexico.
Hot On Her Heels
The still-unnamed fourth Wish Class ship will debut in 2027, but on August 8, 2025, Walt Disney Imagineering commemorated the Steel Cutting for Disney Cruise Line’s next ship. This important milestone signifies the official start of a ship’s construction; however, we were told it’s mostly ceremonial (and we spotted several completed sections at the shipyard).
On hand for the momentous occasion were Disney Destiny Cruise Director Carly Scott and Disney Signature Experiences President Joe Schott, along with representatives from Meyer Werft, Philip Gennotte from Walt Disney Imagineering, and of course, Captain Mickey who had the honor of pushing the button to turn on the laser cutter.
After the laser cut out the shape of the ship, it was signed.
