Disney Cruise Line fans will have to wait a little longer to board the new Disney Adventure. The ship was originally scheduled to set sail from Singapore on December 15, 2025, but Disney has pushed the maiden voyage back to March 10, 2026.
Guests booked on the canceled sailings are being automatically refunded and offered a 50% discount on a future voyage.
When it does finally launch, Disney Adventure will introduce an impressive lineup of “firsts” for Disney Cruise Line, including three new Disney attractions in a Marvel-themed adventure zone (featuring the longest roller coaster at sea) and an all-new Broadway-style musical spectacular starring the characters of WALL-E.
Let’s explore the Disney Adventure!
The Disney Adventure is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to home port in Asia. It’s an exciting new market for the Disney Cruise Line and a huge opportunity for Disney given the success of their theme parks in this region of the world. The Disney Adventure is initially scheduled for three and four-night itineraries.
“Sailing on primarily three- and four-night voyages designed with only dedicated days at sea, the ship will include something for everyone,” said Sarah Fox, vice president and regional general manager, Southeast Asia, Disney Cruise Line. “From fun and interactive spaces for kids, to relaxing venues for adults to unwind, to entertaining and engaging places for families to enjoy together, guests will find endless adventures from bow to stern.”
Unique Themed Areas
The Disney Adventure will feature seven themed areas: Disney Imagination Garden, Toy Story Place, San Fransokyo Street, Town Square, Wayfinder Bay, Disney Discovery Reef, and Marvel Landing.
- Marvel Landing: Unite with the Avengers for thrilling adventures and all-new experiences.
- Toy Story Place: A whimsical water play zone with interactive features, all themed around Andy’s Room from Toy Story.
- San Fransokyo Street: Inspired by “Big Hero 6,” this area will feature interactive games, activities, shops, cinemas, and more.
- Disney Discovery Reef: A themed shopping and dining area inspired by the worlds of “The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Luca”
- Town Square: A fantastical forest of shops, cafes, restaurants, and entertainment venues inspired by Disney princesses and fairytales.
- Disney Imagination Garden: An enchanted “gathering space” showcasing over 100 years of Disney stories, featuring live performances on an open-air stage.
- Wayfinder Bay: A poolside retreat reflecting the Pacific Islands’ artistry of Moana with stunning ocean views.
Marvel Landing
Located on the ship’s upper decks “Avengers-level adventures” include three all-new experiences.
- Ironcycle Test Run (an 820-foot-long rollercoaster) – Guests will test-drive Tony Stark’s latest Ironcycle prototype on a thrilling high-speed circuit. Following a quick lesson from F.R.I.D.A.Y., riders will push the tech to its limits while suspended up to 30 feet above the upper decks.
- Pym Quantum Racers – Guests will steer Pym Tech-modified mini-cars on an oversized toy set track.
- Groot Galaxy Spin – Guests will take a ride onboard a Nova Corp Bass Jumper, set to an awesome mix of upbeat music
Toy Story Place
Also on the upper decks, the colorful water play area includes water features inspired by the “Toy Story” films, a family pool, whirlpools, water slides, and interactive splash pads.
At Flying Saucer Splash Zone, families can wade into an oversized Pizza Planet toy set where the famous green Aliens have created splashy fun. The Toy Story Splash Pad water playground for toddlers and young children features the Toy Story pals reimagined as giant rubber bath toys. And guests of all ages will want to ride Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides.
San Fransokyo Street
Guests can play in Big Hero Arcade, a family gaming lounge, and challenge themselves in the Hiro Training Zone, an immersive training simulator that will allow groups of four to test their skills as they run, dodge, and block their way across a high-tech gaming floor.
Baymax will also make special appearances in the Big Hero Arcade throughout each sailing.
Four additional garages in Big Hero Arcade will be inspired by the Big Hero 6 team, each featuring a custom, two-person gaming experience inspired by classic and contemporary arcade games.
- Super Fred Kaiju Chaos: A classic family-friendly action game that challenges players to virtually don fanboy Fred’s super-jumping, fire-breathing battle suit and race through on-screen city streets in pursuit of a mysterious foe.
- Go Go Racers: Mechanical engineer and racing enthusiast Go Go Tomago’s workstation will house the speedster’s personal training simulator that will require guests to use their own body movements to keep in time with an ever-quickening rhythm, challenging them to see how long they can last.
- Honey Lemon Chem-Ball Blast: Honey Lemon, the sweet-natured chemist with an explosive streak, will equip her bright pink chemistry lab with beakers, explosive fashion accessories and a competition where guests race to fire bubbles and create chemical chain reactions.
- Wasabi Speed Slice: Super intelligent and compulsively organized, physics wiz Wasabi will ensure guests have plenty of space to try out this active gameplay experience where guests swing their arms to slice and dice obstacles with Wasabi’s laser-induced plasma blades.
Baymax Cinemas will play Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm movies throughout each day and into the evening — including film premieres on the same day they debut on land — and classic Disney favorites, all on the big screen. Alley Cat Café (the street-stand outpost of Aunt Cass’s popular bistro in “Big Hero 6”) is a concessions stall for movie snacks, sodas, espresso, and other light bites.
Disney Discovery Reef
The open-air area will showcase beloved aquatic characters and nautical stories from “The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo and Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Luca.”
During the day, the outdoor hub located toward the back of the ship will be bathed in sunlight filtered through colored glass canopies inspired by concept art for “Finding Nemo,” but at night, the space will be lit to create an incandescent environment.
Town Square
The ship’s Town Square will feature Royal Court, a grand, double-height entertainment lounge where guests will enjoy a variety of shows, activities, and character appearances. The rotunda ceiling will be an illuminated, stained-glass-style mosaic of Disney queens, princesses and heroines.
Also in Town Square, D Lounge will be a family activity lounge and entertainment space offering variety acts, interactive game shows, and access to three fully equipped private karaoke rooms with a collection of hit songs and Disney favorites.
The Walt Disney Theater aboard the Disney Adventure will stage two productions:
- “Disney Seas the Adventure” – When Captain Minnie Mouse hands the helm to Goofy, he sets sail on a journey to discover his own inner captain with the help of Disney and Pixar friends from “Finding Nemo,” “Frozen,” “Tangled,” “Hercules,” and more.
- “Remember” – An all-new musical spectacular developed exclusively for the Disney Adventure, will be a heartwarming tale featuring the robot duo from “Wall-E.”
The story will begin with Wall-E preparing a special surprise for Eve as she returns from a long mission, but when an unexpected power outage cuts their reunion short and causes Eve to reboot, Wall-E calls on heroes from beloved Disney films to help restore his loved one through the power of music, hope, and treasured memories.
Disney Imagination Garden
The ship’s central hub will be an open-air garden featuring a state-of-the-art theatrical stage, two quick-service eateries, a bar, and garden-view staterooms.
“Disney Imagination Garden is the heart and soul of the Disney Adventure, where our guests will interact with our Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories in a whole new way,” said Imagineering Portfolio Executive Creative Director Laura Cabo. “The size and scale of this space provided us with so many opportunities to dream big and try new things with our experiential design, creating first-of-a-kind experiences for our guests, from all-new entertainment to delicious dining and lots of magical surprises sprinkled throughout. Rooted in the rich legacy of Disney storytelling, we’re creating an area that will open doors to new adventures and encourage guests to create magic of their own.”
The garden will be designed to represent pages of a pop-up storybook, with landscaping that looks like paper cut-outs, including shaped topiaries and scenic props like trellises and lanterns. Favorite characters and designs from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories will also be represented throughout the area.
The main feature of the garden is a three-deck-tall castle – a first-of-its-kind art piece on a Disney Cruise Line ship.
At the top of the grand staircase, a garden courtyard and bar surrounded by storybook cut-out trees and images of familiar animal pals is the location of a Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse topiary who’s, “conjuring this magical garden where beloved characters and stories bloom to life.”
Garden Stage
A schedule of shows, character appearances, and “magical surprises” will appear on the state-of-the-art Garden Stage, which features three-deck-high LED screens, special effects, and innovative theatrical tools.
In front of the stage, an open “lawn” area leading to a staircase will double as amphitheater-style seating for performances.
One of the signature entertainment experiences will be Avengers Assemble, an action-packed show with stunts, special effects, and the one-and-only Deadpool making his Disney Cruise Line debut. Marvel Super Heroes and Villains at Sea will showcase an epic battle between Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, The Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Loki, Red Skull, Taskmaster, and more.
The Garden Stage Shows will include a Let’s Set Sail dance party on embarkation day, the Avengers Assemble battle of Marvel Super Heroes and Villains, the swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow & the Siren Queen adventure, Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party, and Baymax Super Exercise Expo, a musical exercise show inspired by the members of Big Hero 6.
Wayfinder Reef
Tucked away at the back of the ship, this tiered pool area will offer some of the best views of the land, sea, and sky. The area’s furnishings and murals will capture the spirit of discovery and exploration in “Moana” with depictions of ocean wayfinding inspired by the film.
Paired with a jumbo LED screen, the pool will double as a one-of-a-kind performance venue for live shows and interactive events, including “Moana: Call of the Sea,” a musical adventure that retells Moana’s epic voyage across the ocean with the demigod, Maui.
Delicious Dining
Like all Disney cruise ships, the Disney Adventure will offer rotational dining to allow passengers to experience different dining experiences during their voyage.
On the Disney Adventure, that includes dining in one of the ship’s two entertainment restaurants featuring appearances and interactions with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck: the Navigator’s Club, which pays tribute to the tradition of “captain’s table” dinners or Hollywood Spotlight Club showcasing the golden age of Hollywood.
Guests will also dine at one of two magically animated restaurants where the dining rooms transform from black-and-white to color throughout the meal: Animator’s Palate celebrating favorite movies like “The Little Mermaid,” “Encanto,” “Toy Story” and Animator’s Table featuring authentic artwork from “Aladdin,” “Frozen,” and “Finding Nemo,” and showcasing the process of transforming a hand-drawn sketch into living animation.
In addition, Enchanted Summer Restaurant and Pixar Market Restaurant will serve buffet-style breakfast and lunch and table-service dinners during each voyage.
- Enchanted Summer Restaurant – A cozy village dining hall inspired by “Tangled” and “Frozen” featuring the Maximus and Olaf dining rooms.
- Pixar Market Restaurant (located in Toy Story Place) – Featuring dining areas themed to “Inside Out,” “Monsters University,” “Turning Red,” “The Incredibles,” and others.
The entrance and serving areas of Pixar Market Restaurant will represent Pixar Animation Studios’ headquarters in California, combining exposed steel columns and red brick finishes with imagry of the iconic Lamp and Pixar Ball. Each dining area will feature one of the studio’s films, including “Inside Out,” “Cars,” “Monsters University,” “Turning Red,” “The Incredibles,” and more.
Market Bar will be an alfresco cafe next to to Pixar Market Restaurant serving beverages, specialty coffees, cocktails, and mocktails.
Premium Dining
Premium Dining experiences are the Disney Cruise Line favorite Palo Trattoria (exclusively for adults) and Mike & Sulley’s – Flavors of Asia, offering four distinct experiences: a full-service Japanese steakhouse, a lively teppanyaki room, a chic bar with Omakase-style dining, and an outdoor sushi and sashimi offering.
Gourmet dining at Palo Trattoria and Mike & Sulley’s will be available by reservation for an additional charge.
Quick Service Restaurants
- Bewitching Boba and Brews – Ursula from “The Little Mermaid” is the star at this eclectic establishment that will offer bubble teas and other “wickedly delicious” concoctions.
- Stitch’s ‘Ohana Grill – A beach-style diner inspired by the Hawaiian setting of “Lilo and Stitch,” serving burgers, sandwiches, and classic American fare.
- Cosmic Kebabs – Inspired by “Ms. Marvel” and offering a menu of pitas and kebabs.
- Mowgli’s Eatery – inspired by Mowgli’s journey through the jungles of India in “The Jungle Book” and serving Indian cuisine (including vegetarian and regional dishes)
- Gramma Tala’s Kitchen – Inspired by “Moana” and serving a menu showcasing Pacific and Asian flavors
- Palo Café – A coffee bar offering espresso, coffee drinks, and light bites in a space inspired by the seaside Italian town of Portorosso from “Luca.”
- Pizza Planet – A quick- service, outdoor eatery featuring a walk-up window and a small dining area.
Wheezy’s Freezies – Inspired by the loveable squeeze-toy penguin from “Toy Story 2,” this poolside, self-service spot will offer soft-serve ice cream in a variety of flavors
Adults can also visit themed restaurants, bars, and lounges throughout the ship:
- Buccaneer Bar – Sip high-end brews and watch live sporting events in swashbuckling style.
- Tiana’s Bayou Lounge – Enjoy craft cocktails, creative mocktails, specialty coffees and teas, and, of course, Tiana’s famous beignets.
- Spellbound – A shadowy lounge inspired by the evil queen from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” serving cocktails and mocktails.
- Taverna Portorosso – A sports bar inspired by “Luca,” where guests can have a drink, watch a game, and enjoy the view of the breezeway below.
Adults-Only Experiences
The spa on the Disney Adventure will offer private treatment rooms and a salon for treatments, including massages, facials, acupuncture, wellness, beauty, and haircare. The Rainforest – a Disney Cruise Line signature spa experience – combines steam, heat, and water therapy with aromatherapy. The spa will be available for adults and those 13 and older when accompanied by an adult.
The ship will also have a Fitness Center with state-of-the-art exercise facilities, a juice bar, wellness consultations, a bookable meditation room, and dedicated spaces for cycling and yoga. The fitness center will be available for adults and those 14 and older when accompanied by an adult.
Cool Clubs for Kids
It’s a small world nursery (for kids aged 6 months to 3 years) will offer babysitting services for a nominal fee in a whimsical environment inspired by the beloved Disney attraction of the same name.
Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck (for toddlers) – A nautical-themed playground offering maritime-themed physical and sensory-style games and activities.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club (for children aged 3 to 10 )– Divided into themed areas designed for storytelling, creativity, arts and crafts, dress-up, playing games, watching Disney movies, and meeting favorite Disney characters:
- The Hub will serve as a portal to the other areas, featuring a stage where kids can enjoy interactive storytelling, special in-person and virtual visits from Disney characters, and dance parties.
- Fairytale Hall, inspired by Disney princesses, will allow young royals to engage in imaginative games, arts and crafts, and more.
- Andy’s Toy Box is an oversized playground where kids can explore and play with a variety of interactive props, toys, and gadgets.
- Marvel WEB Workshop, where young Super Hero recruits will put their skills to the test through training simulations using top-secret Avengers technology.
- Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, where kids can participate in hands-on activities and creative experiments, including designing and virtually riding their own rollercoaster.
Edge (For tweens aged 11 to 14) – A vibrant clubhouse where they can have fun, make friends and enjoy various games.
Vibe (for teens aged 14 to 17) – A dynamic space where they can meet new friends, watch movies, play games, and engage in group activities.
Edge and Vibe are disguised as storefronts on San Fransokyo Street, creating an ultra-exclusive and ultra-cool retreat for teens and tweens to call their own.
Staterooms
Most Disney Adventure staterooms will feature:
- Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bathroom concept has a sink and shower in one room and a sink and toilet in a separate room, allowing two people to get ready at once.
- Elevated bed frames provide generous under-bed space to store suitcases and other bulky items essential to family travel.
- A menu of complimentary baby and toddler essentials (available by request), including cribs, bottle warmers, diaper disposal units, and bottle sterilizers.
Garden View Staterooms
The all-new room category for Disney Cruise Line will have access to a verandah providing views of Disney Imagination Garden.
Concierge Level Staterooms
The elevated concierge experience will offer access to exclusive areas and amenities, including private retreats, luxury shopping, and first-class spa and fitness facilities. The Concierge Lounge, inspired by “Aladdin,” will feature complimentary refreshments and gourmet bites throughout the day.
- Concierge Family Staterooms will feature a primary living space, a secondary bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and a private entrance (many offer an extended verandah).
- Concierge Suites will provide a modern, open-concept design and spacious one-bedroom layouts that accommodate at least five guests.
- Concierge Royal Suites will offer a spacious living room, a dining area with a bar, a large main bedroom, a kids’ room with bunk beds, two ensuite bathrooms, and an extended verandah with a private whirlpool.
The ship’s two Royal Suites are inspired by “Frozen:”
- The Elsa Royal Suite will be a celebration of Elsa’s legendary ice magic, artfully realized through contemporary design aesthetics. Frozen fractals all around the space will include icy light fixtures, snowflake patterns and a flurry of film-inspired decorations, all encased in a soothing palette of soft blues with pops of periwinkle and purple.
- The Anna Royal Suite will evoke summertime in the kingdom of Arendelle, inviting guests into a warm, elegant environment blooming with deep greens, rich wood tones, and signature purple accents. Sparkling light fixtures will symbolize rustic tree branches, while traditional floral patterns blossoming throughout the space will recall Anna’s iconic wardrobe.
All-New Entertainment and Onboard Experiences
There will be several notable “firsts” coming to the Disney Adventure when it sets sail from Singapore later this year.
Duffy and Friends
Duffy the Disney bear and his posse of adorable furry friends— ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, ‘Olu Mel, and LinaBell—will sail on the high seasons for the first time from Singapore, with an all-new show. Guided by a seagull named Tippy Blue, the new show called Duffy and The Friend Ship will feature original new songs.
Guests will also be able to meet and take photos with Duffy and his pals, browse the Duffy and Friends Shop, and participate the Duffy and Friends Discovery Quest, a ship-wide search to help Duffy and his friends find missing items and earn a special commemorative gift as a prize.
Captain Jack Sparrow
Join Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates must battle an ink-squirting giant squid, while of course, hunting for treasure during the all-new “Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen” show.
Sport Super Hero Style
The all-new Marvel Style Studio, will give passengers the opportunity to celebrate their Marvel Super Heroes with hair, makeup and clothing options inspired by the Marvel Universe, including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Thor, and Black Panther.
At select times, the space will transform into an adults-only lounge with bookable beverage tastings.
The Royal Treatment
Kids on the Disney Adventure are cordially invited to a royal tea party with Disney Princesses at the all-new Royal Society for Friendship and Tea, an enchanting afternoon featuring treats, stories, and songs that teach about the royal values of kindness, bravery, and determination. The experience includes official society membership keepsakes.
Geeky Details About the Disney Adventure
The Disney Adventure is being built by Meyer Werft in Wismar, Germany – the same shipbuilder that constructed the Disney Dream, Fantasy, and Wish, as well as the upcoming Disney Treasure and Destiny.
The Adventure will have a capacity of 6,700 guests and 2,500 crew. By comparison, the Disney Magic and Wonder house approximately 2,700 guests, while Disney’s Dream, Fantasy, and Wish each have a maximum capacity of up to 4,000 guests. So the Adventure is Disney’s highest capacity ship by a large margin.
Interestingly, the Adventure was not originally built for Disney, but rather by Dream Cruises, which fell into bankruptcy. Disney bought the partially assembled ship in 2022 at the fire sale cost of 40 million euros (on a valuation of at least 1.8 billion euros), quite the deal. The ship was originally set to sail as the Global Dream in 2022 with a capacity of up to 9,000 guests, which would have made it one of the highest-capacity cruise ships in the world. However, after Disney purchased the ship, they scaled back the capacity significantly, focusing more on guest comforts and entertainment.
Bookings for the Disney Adventure are open now, though the initial sailing has been pushed from December 2025 to March 2026.
