I know that today is Halloween, but I can’t help but turn from Jack-O’-Lanterns and skeletons and look forward to sleigh bells and hot cocoa! In today’s Merchandise Update, you’ll see Holiday items (you didn’t think the first batch was the end, did you?!), more Galaxy’s Edge products than you can shake a lightsaber at, and other fun goodies from the Disneyland Resort. There’s quite a bit of ground to cover, so let’s get going!
More Holiday Merchandise Arrives!
Halloween has come and gone (at least from World of Disney!), so we can now officially be in full-fledged Holiday mode. We stopped at two of the Disney-run stores located at Downtown Disney and spotted several new holiday items. You can find the previously-released holiday merchandise in this article:
Disneyland Merchandise Update – Holiday Items Arrive in Downtown Disney Anaheim!
First Stop: World of Disney
Another Holiday Spirit Jersey has been added to the lineup. Most of the real estate on this one is covered with a cartoony print, starring Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto, joined by Holiday icons like the toy soldiers, ornaments, and snowflakes.
Bodysuits, also known as onesies, are a product that I can never completely understand the appeal of. But they must be popular because there are two Holiday-themed, hooded bodysuits available— one for men and another for women. The hood is topped with plush mouse ears.
This pajama set for women includes a long-sleeve shirt with a candy cane Mickey silhouette on the front along with peppermint-y pajama bottoms.
Speaking of things that are minty fresh, check out this new Loungefly mini backpack. Unlike the mini backpacks seen previously, the bow on this one is stuffed rather than just a bunch of gathered fabric. I think I like this style better.
This gingerbread Mickey plush keychain would look darling attached to that mini backpack (or really any backpack or purse). I love that different textures were used on the ears and the body.
These knit character stockings are a nice option if you are in the market for a new one. Options include Mickey, Minnie, Pooh, Dumbo, Stitch, and Olaf. They have fun plush elements sewn on, like ears and noses.
The bulbs on this new seasonal light-up necklace are made to look like peppermint hard candy (with little Hidden Mickeys in the center).
Rather than releasing another bubble wand, Disney has made a snow wand! I have not tried it out personally but my understanding is that it produces teeny-tiny bubbles that resemble snowfall— essentially recreating the snoap you’ll find in the park during the holiday nighttime spectaculars!. Have any of you purchased one of these?
Second Stop: Disney Premiere Shop
We saw the zippered hoodie previously but haven’t covered the Snowman Spirit Jersey, seen on the right mannequin. It features a print covered with different snowflakes along with a castle.
Pins, glorious pins! We found seasonal pins aplenty over at the Disney Premiere Shop. Offerings included pins and pin sets themed to Mickey and friends, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, along with Winnie the Pooh, Lilo & Stitch, and even The Muppets.
The Star Wars Trading Post Sees A Bounty of New Merchandise
The Star Wars Trading Post is still taking over Disney’s Wonderground Gallery. I must confess, I am on Team Wonderground and really just want this overlay to go “bye-bye.” In any case, Disney has stocked the location with a plethora of new merchandise, initially created for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Let’s take a look at the goods.
Two Annual Passholder-exclusive items are now available, a pin and a shirt. The pin has a sliding element on the Millennium Falcon portion.
And here’s the shirt. It has the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge logo on the right sleeve with a Passholder image on the front and back.
This pin depicts the skyline of Black Spire Outpost.
This baseball cap is another Black Spire Outpost-themed item.
Dejarik, the space board game seen in A New Hope, now has a jumbo pin set to call its own. It’s a limited release, so if this is something you’re interested in, don’t wait too long to purchase it.
Kids and women are both treated to these new T-shirts. I think they are themed to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, judging by the focus of the spaceship in the design.
See the “Trading Outpost” icon on the boxes of these two figures? That means they are part of a collection originally sold at Target and shopDisney. Regardless, they are the Captain Cardinal and Mountain Trooper figures from Hasbro’s The Black Series. The series is characterized by detailed, articulated figures.
Any fans of Oga’s Cantina in the house? These two new products may help tide you over until the intergalactic watering hole reopens. First up is this pin set featuring some of the art seen on the coasters served with drinks.
Then, the art appears again on this shirt.
Perhaps the most generic item included in this wave of merchandise is this mug. It has a rugged look to it but it doesn’t seem to be anything particularly special.
Avengers-Themed Attire Lands at The Disney Dress Shop
Okay, so Avengers Campus is not open yet and Black Widow is delayed in theaters but that doesn’t mean you can’t dress in a themed get-up, does it? Over at the Disney Dress Shop, you’ll find just the thing to get your Natasha Romanoff on.
This Black Widow dress, designed by the Disney Dress Shop, is sleeveless with a window in the front shaped like the mark of a black widow.
A fitting accompaniment (especially since sleeveless dresses can get awfully chilly) is this jacket from Her Universe.
Odds & Ends
Back at World of Disney, we noticed several new pieces of apparel, inspired by Winnie the Pooh. The first is this shirt with a cross of fabric on the front neckline. Combined with the bedazzled lettering on some of the wording, it makes quite a fashion statement.
Then there is this tee. The honey (or hunny) pot is actually a pocket, which a clever detail.
Next are these joggers. Don’t they look comfy? I actually use these sort of pants as lounge pants, so I think they could serve as both.
And last in the Pooh lineup are these bike shorts. After all that honey, I guess one would need a workout.
In addition to the Haunted Mansion one we saw previously, there are now two new touchless door grabbers. Like the other one, these are intended so that you insert your finger into the hole and use the hook to grab the door handle. Unfortunately, these do not have a stylus tip at the end (the first one didn’t either).
Now, I would like to take a moment to appreciate some of the festive decor you’ll find as you go through shops in Downtown Disney.
In the main room of World of Disney, you’ll feel every bit of the Holiday spirit. Not only is there a gingerbread castle as a centerpiece but surrounding displays have little gingerbread Mickeys and the like. Plus, themed images are projected on the back wall as well as the floor.
Disney certainly knows how to deck those halls. You can see the boughs of holly hanging from the arches. I like that even beyond the main room, there are still touches of holiday decor.
Even in the Disney Premiere Shop, they added some themed illustrations to the background.
