Since D23 2024, Disney Cruise Line has debuted three new ships: Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Adventure. With an ambitious expansion plan for a fleet of 13 ships by 2030, the next ship in the queue is Disney Believe, which will set sail in 2027.

Bow Character

According to Imagineer Claire Weiss, Disney’s newest ship celebrates the belief in magic, family, the power of nature, and most importantly, believing in yourself. All the stories told on the ship will be tied together by the thread of believing in something, including the bow character, the one and only Tinker Bell who taught us all to believe in fairies.

Stern Characters

The stern characters will go to infinity and beyond for what they believe in. Yes, the odd couple from Toy Story will be hanging out together on the back of the ship.

“They’re actually drawing Believe, but they’re using crayons because they’re toys,” Claire said.

Grand Hall Character

The biggest reveal for any new Disney Cruise Line Ship is always which character will have the honor of being the icon for the Grand Hall… and for Disney Believe that’s Moana.

“Moana’s is an epic adventure story about believing in yourself so she’s the perfect fit for this ship,” Claire said.

Next MiceChat Adventure: Pacific Coast & Alaska Back-to-Back

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to finally visit Alaska, this is it. MiceChat is sailing from San Diego to Vancouver on the Disney Wonder (May 6-10, 2027), and for those who want more, the fun continues straight into Alaska (May 10-17, 2027). Do one leg, do both… many of us are booking the same stateroom for the full run.

The Pacific Coast sailing hugs some genuinely beautiful coastline before depositing everyone in Vancouver, which is worth a few hours of wandering on its own. The Alaska leg hits Ketchikan, Skagway, and Juneau, plus a pass by the Stikine Icecap.

If you’ve never cruised Alaska, it’s difficult to appreciate just how dramatic the scenery is until you’re there. Towering glaciers, wildlife, and charming port towns make it one of Disney Cruise Line’s most memorable itineraries.
