What is Disney Vacation Club?

Disney Vacation Club offers a points-based system rather than the traditional fixed-week timeshare model. Membership begins by purchasing real estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resort (represented by Vacation Points). Every year, you can use your allotment of Vacation Points to book vacation accommodations at that Resort, at other Disney Vacation Club Resort, or in other destinations around the world… so you aren’t tied to a property or specific date and can spend your points sort of like cash.

When purchasing directly from Disney, DVC members enjoy additional Disney-branded exchange options available through the Disney Collection, which includes select Disney Resort hotels, Disney Cruise Line, and guided vacations with Adventures by Disney or National Geographic Expeditions, as well as hotel exchange with a range of hotels in landmark cities and international destinations.

At Disneyland Resort, members can relax in Star View Station – A Member Lounge (open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily; subject to change).

Starting July 27, the DVC Star View Station member lounge in Tomorrowland will temporarily close for routine maintenance. The lounge is scheduled to reopen in fall 2026. Members can visit a temporary lounge space inside Starcade (near the exit of Space Mountain) for comfortable seating, complimentary beverages, and snacks. The temporary lounge will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (subject to change).

DVC Experiences & Opportunities

In addition to staying at some of the most luxurious Disney accommodations, DVC members can also attend exclusive events at Disney theme parks and travel on designated member sailings with Disney Cruise Line.

Construction is already underway for Disney Lakeshore Lodge, which will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”

Projected to open in 2027, Lakeshore Lodge will be located on the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World Resort (in the space of the previously-announced Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge).
