Howdy, happy campers! The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is the latest addition to the Disney Vacation Club lineup, and the first phase of them are now open! The Cabins are nestled within the charming forest oasis that is Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
All 365 of the cabins were constructed inside a nearby warehouse at Walt Disney World to minimize impact on the beautiful natural environment of Fort Wilderness. These newly-constructed cabin models are being installed in phases, taking up the same footprint as the previous cabins, minimizing their eco footprint. The first phase of cabins are now open and available to book.

The 1-Bedroom cabins each sleep up to 6, including 1 queen bed, 1 queen pull-down bed, and bunk beds. Some cabins are even dog-friendly!
The entire cabin feels light and airy, featuring large windows with bright daytime views out into the campground’s forestry.
The muted color palette and rustic modern decor sets the tone for a restful retreat with whimsical touches and many home-away-from-home conveniences. Each feature floor-to-ceiling windows and your very own deck (complete with a charcoal grill); a must for indoor/outdoor living. Much of the artwork featured is based off vintage-styled National Parks posters and postcards featuring Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Chip & Dale.

Fort Wilderness offers Disney Vacation Club members and guests easy access to the theme parks as well as the resort’s cherished amenities; including walking trails, kayaking, canoeing, fishing excursions, pools, playgrounds, horseback riding at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, Chip ’n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long and the historical rootin’ tootin’ good time at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
Psst… if you stop by the Tri-Circle D Ranch, be sure to visit the historic Dragon Calliope on display. Originally constructed in 1907, Walt Disney purchased this calliope for the Mickey Mouse Club Circus and parade at Disneyland in 1955.
Fort Wilderness Improvements
The Cabins are part of a series of improvement projects underway at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground designed to enhance the guest experience; including pool area and walking trail enhancements, and expanded dining experiences at Trail’s End and Crockett’s Tavern. The 365 new cabins are being installed in phases; all are projected to be ready for guests by April 2025. Both DVC members and regular WDW visitors can book at The Cabins, with reservations now available.
