Your presents are all purchased, wrapped, and ready for gifting. Holiday cards are already in the mail. You are officially done with the last of the holiday prep! Now what? Well, I may not be a doctor, but I would prescribe some stress-free retail therapy. But this time around, the recipient of the gifts is you! And, as a bonus, you don’t need to worry about these presents arriving in time for Christmas or Hanukkah (although if you celebrate the latter, that deadline has long since passed, my friend). Apparel
Shimmy Brushed Jersey Zip Up by Lug ($65)
Part of Lug’s Inspired-By Collection, this hoodie is made from a soft double-brushed jersey knit fabric. Thanks to the high waist and slightly flared torso, its design is also stylish and flattering. The garment also boasts large pockets (always a favorite), and because one of Lug’s specialties is finding ways to make every part of an item useful, the hood’s drawstring doubles as a glasses or sunglasses holder. But the best part might be that their Crimson Large Dot print option (seen below) is perfect for a Minnie Mouse Disneybounding outfit.

Disney Pixar Miguel Poster Hooded Flannel ($54.90)
Miguel, the musically inclined star of Disney and Pixar’s Coco, seems to be using this button-up cotton flannel shirt to advertise his concert. His advertisement is posted on the back, surrounded by marigolds. Meanwhile, the front pocket is decorated with an embroidered rendition of the film’s logo. Top it all off with a drawstring hood, and you have a great layering option for Pixar fans.

Chip ‘N Dale Fuzzy Oversized Hoodie by Her Universe ($54.90, currently discounted to $32.94), Plus Size Also Available ($59.90, currently discounted to $35.94)
If you are a fan of fuzz, you are sure to be all a-buzz when you wear this fuzzy oversized hoodie inspired by Chip ‘n Dale. The charming design adds ears to the hood and a teeny chipmunk tail to the back. Of course, patches of the fun-loving friends are also featured on the front, joined by their names and an acorn squirreled away (chipmunk-ed away?) near one of the pockets.

Mickey Mouse Robe for Adults By Barefoot Dreams from shopDisney ($158.99)
Plush robes don’t get more luxe than those made by Barefoot Dreams. And this one has been “plussed” with Mickey Mouse accents. The Big Cheese’s initials are embroidered on one of the pockets, and his mousey silhouette decorates the back. The robe’s oversized style is ideal for lounging around the house.

Accessories
Alligator Loki Crossbody Bag by Loungefly ($90)
[A sample of this purse was provided by Fun.com. All opinions are my own.]
Available exclusively through Fun.com, this 16-inch long Loungefly crossbody bag looks just like Loki’s Alligator variant seen in Marvel’s Loki Disney+ series. Its snout and tail are stuffed, leaving the stomach open for storage (approximately 6.5 inches long, 5 inches tall, and 3.5 inches wide), which is decorated with images of Loki’s horned helmet and Asgardian runes. Besides the shiny plush horns, big embroidered eyes, and toothy smile, one of the most endearing qualities is the jointed legs. If you are looking to Disneybound (or just rock some Marvel merchandise while out and about) and don’t intend to carry much beyond your phone, wallet, and one or two other small items., this is a unique and eye-catching option.

Sally Heart Mini Backpack by Loungefly ($85)
Another Fun.com-exclusive, this heart-shaped Loungefly mini backpack highlights Jack Skellington’s sweetheart, Sally. Its main zippered compartment measures approximately 10 inches wide, 10 inches high, and 4 inches deep and is decorated in a print that imitates Sally’s patchwork dress. The smaller front zippered compartment stars Sally at its center, joined by a black cat companion. The backpack’s lining is full of ominous-looking hearts, cutesy skulls, and portraits of Sally herself.

Winnie the Pooh Figural Minnie Backpack by Our Universe ($84.90)
This next mini backpack comes to us courtesy of Our Universe, Her Universe’s unisex brand, and is exclusively available at BoxLunch. A fuzzy sherpa fabric covers the majority of the backpack, which measures 12 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. Pooh’s tummy serves a separate compartment in the front. Both it and the main compartment are lined with a print highlighting Winnie the Pooh’s different facial expressions. Flip the backpack around, and you’ll find two other magical features. The first is the query, “Who ate all the hunny?” embroidered on the back. The second (and arguably cutest of the two) is the little plush Piglet attached to one of the backpack’s straps.

Hopper Shorty Backpack by Lug ($100)
The Hopper Shorty Backpack is a more compact version of their popular Hopper backpack, but that doesn’t mean they comprised the amount of worthwhile features. Let’s start with the storage compartments. There is a grand total of 11: a main zippered compartment, two front zippered compartments, two side pockets with magnet closures, one soft-lined pocket near the front (ideal for your phone or glasses), another soft-lined pocket at the back, one back zippered side pocket with bungee keychain, two inside cargo pockets, and an inside see-through zippered pocket. Other features of note are the wipable bottom Lug Charm Bar to attach Lug Charms to for extra personalization options. And Disneybounders, take note: the Black and Crimson Large Dot option works perfectly with Lug’s Shimmy Zip-Up Jacket (or even by itself) for a fun and functional nod to Ms. Minnie Mouse.

Stagecoach Clearview Crossbody Bag by Lug ($60)
Security lines can be less painful when you are using a see-through bag, and rocking this crossbody bag by Lug makes the process painless while adding a flair of personalization. It comes in a handful of colorways, like the violet one shown below. And like Lug’s Hopper Shorty Backpack, it features a charm bar to hold the sliding charms sold by the company. This bag’s dimensions are 5.75 inches high, 8.5 inches wide, and 3 inches deep. The removable strap can adjust in length from 32 inches to 58 inches.

Special Edition Disney Princess BlendJet 2 Portable Blenders – Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, Moana, and Jasmine ($59.95 each)
The 16-ounce BlendJet 2 Portable Blender is now available in special edition Disney Princess styles, which is especially helpful if you have more than one of them in your house. And while the promotions often show this gadget whipping up fruity shakes or margaritas, it can also function just like a standard blender or food processor (just a smaller, cuter one). It charges via an included USB-C cord that plugs into a water-resistant port and lasts for 15 or more blending sessions. And it is self-cleaning! Just add in water and soap, blend, and then rinse. For anyone who washes dishes, that feature is downright magical.

Toy Story Pizza Planet Claw Machine Popcorn Maker ($39.90)
Popcorn is the perfect accompaniment to a good, old-fashioned movie night, and, believe it or not, it can actually make for a healthy snack (provided you don’t drench it in butter). This popcorn maker is modeled after the claw machine in Toy Story (Ooooo!) and can pop up to six cups of popcorn at a time. It also comes packaged with measuring cups for the oil and the kernels, a cord wrap, and a lid that doubles as a bowl for serving.

Aladdin Magic Carpet Micro Raschel Blanket ($24.99)
It may not be able to take you soaring through the streets of Agrabah, but this blanket, modeled after Aladdin’s magic carpet, can still safely ferry you to dreamland in its microfiber fleece embrace. It measures approximately 46 inches wide and 60 inches long and is available exclusively at Fun.com.

Winnie the Pooh as a Bee Plush from shopDisney ($26.99)
This 13.5-inch tall Winnie the Pooh plush was a pleasant surprise when he popped up on shopDisney. It was created for Disney Store Japan, but through some sort of Christmas miracle, we are able to buy it here! Pooh is cosplaying as a bee, with a striped bodysuit, fuzzy antennae, iridescent wings, and even a sweet, little honey bee resting atop his head (kawaii!). It would be wonderful to see more merchandise from overseas become available to stateside fans in the future.

Olaf Weighted Plush from shopDisney ($39.99)
The holidays may be magical, but that doesn’t mean they are stress-free. For those times and others during the year, taking a moment to cuddle with a weighted plush may help you relax. This 15-inch tall Olaf plush is from Disney’s line of weighted plushes, each carrying a removable 2.5-pound bag inside. Like the other characters included in this line, Olaf is made of a fluffy, soft fabric that is soothing to the touch, and his eyes are just black dots, which works remarkably well for him. In fact, this may be one of Disney’s cutest plush of the talking snowman to date.
Disney Duos – Set #43226 by LEGO ($44.99)
We suggest this Disney Duos LEGO set for an entertaining, hands-on diversion. This 553-piece set includes everything you need to build four pairs of Disney’s best buddies: Pua & Hei Hei from Moana, Percy & Meeko from Pocahontas, Lumiere & Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast, and Squirt & Nemo from Finding Nemo. Once completed, you can pose the characters and display them as you wish.

Disney Illusion Island for the Nintendo Switch ($39.99 in physical and digital formats, sold separately)
Whether you are a lifelong gamer or have just recently started playing video games, there is something for you to love about Disney Illusion Island. The game takes Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy to the island of Monoth, where the gang will seek out stolen magic tomes and return them to their rightful owners, or disaster will strike its citizens. As a platformer game in the “Metroidvania” style (named for Metroid and Castlevania), the title boasts sprawling platform-based maps that become more accessible as you acquire new tools. Those new to platforming will appreciate how lenient the game is when you take damage. Gaming veterans will certainly enjoy searching high and low to uncover every Hidden Mickey and collectible piece of memorabilia to complete their gallery.
You can enjoy Disney Illusion Island alone or with up to three friends in local cooperative multiplayer, and even if you can’t gather a group to play together, you will still find it to be a worthwhile experience.
Books
“Disney A to Z: The Official Disney Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition” by Dave Smith and Steven Vagnini (Price varies by location)
Even for a Disneyphile, there seems to be an endless supply of facts and anecdotes to uncover from all corners of the industries in which Disney works. This sixth edition of the Disney A to Z encyclopedia covers not only Disney Parks and all they contain but also their movies, TV shows, and more. This 1024-page powerhouse of a book is perfect for periodic perusing, looking up information to refresh your memory (or prove your friend wrong), or simply diving into Disney’s past and present.

“Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Official Knitting Guide to Halloween Town and Christmas Town” by Tanis Gray ($24.99 for the hardcover edition and $16.99 for the Kindle edition)
I don’t know about you, but in my house, The Nightmare Before Christmas counts as a Christmas movie. This knitting book shows knitters from the beginner level (although I want to say this looks more like beginner-plus difficulty) to advanced how to craft apparel, accessories, decor, and even a few toys, all themed to the beloved stop-motion animated film. I know that I would love to take a crack at the Snake Draft Blocker and Sally’s Shawl (both pictured on the cover). The book also contains concept art, stills, and fun facts about the movie.

Coming Soon!
Patience is a virtue and one that can reward you with some nifty new collections if you don’t mind holding off to purchase them. Coming to us courtesy of Loungefly, here are two collections to look forward to in January 2024.
Evil Queen Sequin Cosplay Collection
The Snow White Sequin Cosplay Collection includes a mini backpack and a matching zip-around wallet. These pieces are most notable for their dazzling rendition of Disney’s original villainess on their exterior. They also share the same print used on their lining, which borrows imagery from the Evil Queen’s poison apple, crown, and the chest where she intended to store Snow White’s heart.
