So many new housewares, so little time. In this Disneyland Merchandise Update, we’ve got tons of hot beverage-centric items to “ooh” and “aah” over. Beyond the tea service (or coffee service, if you prefer), there’s also some comfy apparel, plus the latest nuiMOs release. And I also heard that it is a certain somebody’s Unbirthday…

Housewares for the Mickey Crowd

I adore creative teapot designs and while the look of this Mickey Mouse-inspired teapot isn’t over-the-top, it is a clever way to add a touch of Mickey to your tea time. My favorite detail is the little knob shaped like Mickey on the pot’s lid.

This mug has Minnie Mouse’s likeness engraved on one side, with her signature on the other side displayed in the same fashion. There is also a Mickey version of this mug.

It’s important to stay hydrated and Disney is here to give you some new water bottle options. Choose between Mickey or Minnie Mouse, both with a Disneyland Resort label.

A Mickey Mouse and friends-inspired line of housewares, fittingly called Mousewares, has begun to crop up in World of Disney and Disney Home. So far we noticed tea infusers, ice cream scoops (filled with Mickey sprinkles – nice touch), cookie cutters, and a set of drinking glasses in this line.

Looking Beyond the Mouse

This dog dish (a dog dish counts as houseware, right?) is part of the Reigning Cats and Dog Collection. It has art of some Disney’s beloved dogs along the outside as well on the bottom of the dish.

For fans of the Disney Monorails, there is something especially magical about the brief safety spiel overheard when boarding: “Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor mantégase alejado de las puertas.” And now you can find it along with different Monorail graphics on the outside of this mug.

The Disneyland Resort is home to many iconic landmarks and you’ll find several of them along the outside of this mug. The art used has a sort of cartoony/sketchy style that I rather like.

Jerrod Maruyama’s Disney Parks Collection is still very popular over at the Wonderground Gallery and they’ve recently added an additional item, this mug and coaster set. The coaster is particularly impressive with mini figures of Disney characters in Jerrod’s signature art style.

The Latest Apparel and Accessories

This pastel tie-dyed loungewear has a Parks-inspired retro style with an old-school Mickey icon placed alongside Sleeping Beauty Castle (on the sweatshirt, at least) and the Disneyland “D” symbol. And if you look closely, you’ll spot many of Disneyland’s various lands, like Fantasyland and Frontierland, hidden among the lettering on both the sweatshirt as well as the lounge pants.

In addition to the loungewear set, this castle shirt and pajama bottoms (sold separately) give off a similar retro vibe.

This style of tee is what comes to mind when I think of “souvenir shirts.” It has a well-known character (Minnie, in this case) and an identifying landmark (Sleeping Beauty Castle), along with the name of the place the shirt is made to commemorate.

What’s Disneyland made of? Magic, rides, snacks, and a castle, according to this shirt. Donald certainly looks excited to be there.

If you’ve ever wanted Mickey, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy in colorful cubes on a shirt, now is your chance to make this dream come true. The art is a bit too bold for my taste but the Warhol-esque design will appeal to many other Disney fans.

Springtime in Southern California often brings breezy weather with it. Luckily, World of Disney has this colorful windbreaker and matching leggings.

This 101 Dalmatians Pongo bowling shirt is made to match the Perdita dress we saw in the previous Disneyland Merchandise Update. The backside has a patch that reads “Pongo’s Pins” along with the face of the pup in question.

Over at the Disney Dress Shop, Annual Passholders (or Legacy Passholders now, I suppose) have the opportunity to purchase exclusive styles of the Dooney & Bourke Sidekicks line of bags. These special accessories have an attached leather tag wth the Annual Passholder logo embossed on it. There are additional styles of this line that anyone can purchase as well. But does it make anyone else uncomfortable that they continue to push AP merchandise when there isn’t an AP program any more?

Odds and Ends

Also on the subject of Annual Passholder merchandise, World of Disney carved out a corner to sell older AP-exclusive items. The majority of the offerings are shirts but there is also an ornament in the mix.

Two new Ear Headbands were spotted in the wild. The first one has a tweed bow nestled between faux leather ears encrusted with faux pearls arranged into Hidden Mickeys. The second, with a soft rainbow tie-dyed theme, would work well with the pastel tie-dye apparel we saw earlier in this Update.

We also found another light-up puzzle fashioned after the billboards on Pixar Pier. We previously looked at the one themed to Finding Dory. I think these items are an inventive take on puzzles, adding a creative but perfectly themed way to display them after they are completed.

For the Disney foodies who want to show off their fandom, there are now these keychains that resemble several popular popcorn buckets along with the ice cream Kitchen Sink, found at Disney Parks.

April’s nuiMOs Collection is as Sweet as Honey (and Dapper! and Electric?)

The headliners for April’s nuiMOs Collection are our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood: Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet! Each nuiMOs doll costs $17.99 and are available now on shopDisney as well as in Disney Stores and select Disney Parks. I should note, however, that they don’t come packaged with the outfits pictured below (although there are doll/outfit bundles available on shopDisney).

Speaking of outfits, in addition to the new nuiMOs doll added to the roster, two new outfit collections were released as well. The first one, Disney Vintage, would fit right in at on Dapper Day, mixing Disney character-inspired style with old-fashioned flair. The second collection, Electric Festival, has a fashion vibe similar to what you might see at a music festival. You can see a sampling of the outfits included in these collections in the photos below. You can shop the entirety of the nuiMO lines here.

Build-a-Bear Workshop Hosts a Mad Tea Party

The 70th anniversary of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland is July 26 and Build-a-Bear Workshop is celebrating an early Unbirthday with the release of their online exclusive collection. This special collection includes a positively precious Cheshire Cat plush along with outfits of Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts plus a themed shirt (for toys, of course).

Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Spilling the Tea
The graphic says the 80th Anniversary but it is really the 70th (the film debuted in 1951).

Here is a closer peek at the Cheshire Cat plush from the collection. Since it is an online exclusive item, it comes pre-stuffed (which is a bit unfortunate since I prefer mine a little understuffed) and neither scents nor sounds can be added to it. But to make up for that, the fantastic feline has a delightfully plush tail (I am a sucker for a good tail) and wonderful details like the tufts of fur on his head and the Alice in Wonderland patch on his paw.

And below, you’ll find more detailed images of the outfits. I am giddy over the idea of dressing my Cheshire Cat up in Alice’s dress. To be truthful, any of the character costumes look like they would be fun on him (and remember, you can add them to other Build-a-Bear Workshop plushes). The character T-shirt might be a bit odd on the Cheshire Cat since it has his likeness on the front.
