Ozzy Osbourne Joins the Line-up at Universal Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights 2026

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 is already taking shape at Universal Studios Hollywood, and this year’s event is set to be the biggest yet, running a record 42 nights from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1, 2026.

Universal has begun revealing the horrors lurking in the fog, including the first haunted house announcement inspired by the Oscar-winning vampire film Sinners. From terrifying haunted houses and sinister scare zones to the return of Terror Tram and live entertainment, here’s everything we know so far about Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

This guide will be updated throughout the season as additional announcements are revealed.

NEW! Haunted House: Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness

Developed as a living horror movie, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness will pay tribute to the heavy metal icon though music from his solo albums, including The Blizzard of Ozz (1980), Diary of a Madman (1981), Bark at the Moon (1983), No More Tears (1991), Scream (2010) and Ordinary Man (2020).

“Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created,” Sharon and Jack Osbourne jointly stated. “Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you’ll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”

The all-new original houses will offer a different twisted journey on each coast. At Universal Studios Hollywood, the haunted house transports fans to Birmingham, England, home to John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne. Starting with “Crazy Train,” Ozzy Osbourne’s most famous song, guests will travel through time from his early childhood to the Osbourne Asylum, inspired by his iconic album Diary of a Madman. As they weave through the decades, the unique iterations of Ozzy’s persona will come to life, from Madman Ozzy and Werewolf Ozzy to the Prince of Darkness, the moniker he earned in the 1970s.

“Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal—he created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror,” said John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. “We previously had the privilege of collaborating with Ozzy, and this new haunted house is an opportunity to honor his extraordinary solo career. Inspired by all 13 of his albums, guests will journey through the dark, surreal worlds that fueled his music and cemented his legacy as the one and only Prince of Darkness.”

Horrifying Haunted Houses

This year’s collection of haunted houses include iconic franchises along with original horror stories.

Evil Dead Burn

An all-new haunted house will be based on the newly-released sixth film in in the Evil Dead Franchise.

First introduced in 1981, Evil Dead evolved from an independent cult classic to one of the most iconic horror properties. Blending extreme gore with dark humor, the franchise centers on the Book of the Dead, an ancient text that unleashes supernatural parasitic demons who possess and twist their victims into Deadites.

Guests will embark on a terrifying journey through the new film’s most frightening moments, beginning at the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods. The nightmare worsens as guests venture through the haunted house, encountering Deadites around every turn before succumbing to evil forces themselves.

All-new limited-release merchandise inspired by Evil Dead Burn includes a T-shirt and hat, along with its own acrylic figure designed for the infernal carnival collectible display. The collection is available at the park and on shopUniversal.com, with additional merchandise emerging later this year.

Hellraiser

For the first time, Halloween Horror Nights unleashes Hellraiser, one of horror’s most influential franchises. The trilogy redefined supernatural horror and introduced the mythology of the Lament Configuration puzzle box, which, when solved, opens a portal to another dimension inhabited by ritualistically torturous beings known as the Cenobites and their leader, the iconic Pinhead.

For the first time at Halloween Horror Nights, guests will step into a dark realm of pain and pleasure with Pinhead and the Cenobites. From the attic in Frank Cotton’s family home (where he was first cast to Hell) to the Channard Institute where the legendary box lures guests with its promise of forbidden pleasures, fans will encounter moments and settings from all three movies in the Hellraiser franchise. In addition, Pinhead actor Doug Bradley will reprise his character and lend his voice to the experience.

The terrifying experience begins as guests enter the Lament Configuration puzzle box, unwittingly summoning the Cenobites and opening a gateway to a diabolical dimension where unspeakable horrors await. Their ourney ultimately lands them in The Labyrinth where Pinhead and the Cenobites lie in wait for new souls to torment for eternity.

Stranger Things

Halloween Horror Nights is revisiting the Upside Down, with an all-new haunted house showcasing the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, placing guests at the center of the ultimate battle to save Hawkins.

Guests will be transported to the town of Hawkins just as the barrier between reality and the supernatural unleashes an ominous darkness. As visitors make their way through the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, the MAC-Z military base, and the haunting realms of the Upside Down and the Abyss, they’ll be hunted by Demogorgons and other sinister creatures, including Vecna himself.

A parks-exclusive collection of all‑new limited-release merchandise includes a T-shirt and a mug infused with ‘80s nostalgia, plus a new Stranger Things-inspired acrylic figure that fits into the separately sold Infernal Carnival collectible display (additional figures will be available as new haunted houses are announced). 

These items are available now at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood and will launch June 18 at 9 a.m. PST on shopUniversal.com.

Sinners

The Oscar-winning Sinners is coming to Halloween Horror Nights. The supernatural horror film takes place in 1930s Mississippi Delta, where twin brothers named Smoke and Stack return to their hometown to open a juke joint for their community. Unfortunately, a troupe of vampires crash the club’s opening night, threatening to curse the guests in a battle for survival.

The Halloween Horror Nights house will transport guests back in time to Club Juke, where they’ll come face-to-face with red-eyed vampires Remmick, Bert and Joan. As they attempt to evade the vampires, fans will encounter characters from the film, including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline and Cornbread. Caught in a deadly struggle between Smoke and Stack and the bloodthirsty vampires, guests must fight to survive the night. 

“At Halloween Horror Nights, we push the boundaries of what a live horror experience can be,” said John Murdy, Executive Producer, Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios Hollywood. “Just as Ryan Coogler’s Academy Award winning film, Sinners re-invented the vampire movie, we are re-inventing the haunted house and creating new ways to scare our guests that we’ve never attempted and are thrilled to bring this amazing story to life in a truly terrifying and fully immersive way.”

All-new merchandise inspired by the Sinners haunted house is already available, including a limited release shirt and hat. More merch is expected to roll out as each additional house is announced. 

An acrylic Infernal Carousel diorama is available for purchase for $35, with each character figure priced at $15.

Original Haunted Houses

The team at Universal Studios Hollywood has created all-new twisted tales for this year’s event.

Dead, Deader, Deadest

Ambrotox claims to restore the deceased’s features without the process of embalming. But when the miracle drug backfires, a century’s worth of corpses rise from their graves dead set on terrorizing the living. In this haunted house, stare death in its decaying face and unearth the dark secrets that lie within the Deville Family Funeral Home.

Sinister Scare Zones

Even if you don’t make it to all of the haunted houses, you can enjoy the slightly less terrifying scare zones that take over the streets of Universal Studios Hollywood. Past years have included chainsaw hordes, original monsters, and themed immersive street experiences… oh, and clowns… lots and lots of terrifying clowns. 

Fortnitemares Scare Zone

Halloween Horror nights puts its signature twisted spin on Fortnite with an immersive scare zone inspired by Fortnitemares, the game’s signature Halloween event.

Halloween Horror Nights guests will have the chance to “drop in” to the world of Fortnitemares, with an all-new scare zone featuring ever-evolving and high-stakes environments, including Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground overcome with a threatening force.

Throughout the scare zone, fans will encounter the Battle Bus along with familiar Fortnitemares characters – plus a few new additions exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights – as they work to escape and claim victory.

The Fortnitemares scare zone will be part of the lineup at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

New merchandise inspired by the Fortnitemares scare zone include a graphic tee, decal set, and acrylic collectible piece. These items are available now at Universal Studios Hollywood and will be available on ShopUniversal.com starting July 23 at 9 a.m. PST.

HHN Entertainment

Entertainment is another area where Universal hasn’t yet revealed the full lineup for Halloween Horror Nights 2026. In recent years, the event has featured large-scale live productions in the WaterWorld arena, along with roaming performers, projection effects, and atmospheric entertainment throughout the park. We expect the WaterWorld venue to once again host a major nighttime show, with more details likely to emerge as the event draws closer.

Terror Tram

The terrifying Terror Tram experience on the Universal Studios backlot is exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood. Most years, the world-famous Studio Tour drops visitors off near the Bates Motel, where they must navigate a gauntlet of monsters before making their way through iconic backlot locations like the War of the Worlds set and eventually boarding the tram for the return trip to the Upper Lot.

The opportunity to walk through some of Universal’s most famous sets at night, transformed into a horror experience, remains one of the event’s standout offerings and something fans look forward to every year.

Halloween Horror Nights guests will also have access to select attractions, including the new Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster.

Halloween Horror Nights is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
