Here at MiceChat, we love a good merchandise collaboration. Lucky for us, 2024 brought a bounty of Disney collaborative collections, blending beloved characters with fashion and lifestyle products. We’ll look back at those releases from this past year and share who we’d like Disney to work with next. And don’t forget to mention your “dream collab” ideas in the comments.
The clock is ticking ever closer to midnight, so let’s get moving!

Disney Merchandise Collaborations of 2024
2024 seemed to be the year for fashion-forward Disney merchandise, as evidenced by these collaborative collections.

Disney x Coperni
In a fashion history-making first, Disneyland Paris hosted a fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, where Coperni revealed a new Disney-inspired clothing line. Models walked down the runway in outfits styled after Disney Princesses, villains, and, of course, Mickey Mouse. The theme park’s Sleeping Beauty Castle set a fitting backdrop for the affair.
The collection will launch in Spring 2025 to retailers worldwide.
The event was live-streamed, but you can still get a glimpse at the garments and the glamor in this reel:

Disney x Balmain: The Lion King
With “The Lion King” celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and the release of the new live-action prequel “Mufasa,” Balmain’s themed collaboration with Disney was expertly timed. The project was near and dear to Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director, as the original animated classic was a movie that deeply moved him as a youth.

The fashions he created for this collection weave references to “The Lion King” with high fashion and African culture.

Some of the pieces put more of an emphasis on cultural imagery and artistry, with red-carpet-worthy results. Fittingly, the collection shared the spotlight with the celebrities who wore them for a “Lion King in concert” event at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Disney x lululemon
Since a day at any of the Disney Park is an active affair, Disney’s collaboration with lululemon, which merged Mickey and Minnie Mouse with the active wear company’s popular products, was a remarkably astute decision. The 34-piece collection was sold online, at lululemon retail locations, and at Disney Parks.
The women’s options included pieces like outerwear, shirts, exercise tops and bottoms, and sweatpants. The majority of these items incorporated Mickey into their design either through embroidery or in an all-over print. Still, a few included other embellishments like sketch art of Mickey Mouse.
The men’s apparel included items like a pullover hoodie, crewneck sweatshirts, sweatpants, and T-shirts. The sketch-style art seen on a few other women’s garments is also used on the men’s, along with an image of classic Mickey Mouse and “lululemon” written in a font reminiscent of that used in the Silly Symphony cartoons.
Beyond apparel, the Disney x lululemon collaborative collection featured accessories that lent well to an active lifestyle. The mouse-eared bucket hat and sports water bottle were especially well-suited Disney Parks guests.
Disney Fantasia x Pleasing
In this collection, Harry Styles’ brand Pleasing took on the characters of Disney’s Fantasia. The result was a range of apparel, accessories, and cosmetics themed to some of the film’s most well-known characters.
In terms of apparel, this collection had an impressive range of items decorated with a variety of art styles. Some, like the Sorcerer Mickey hoodie and Hyacinth Hippo sweatshirt, simply featured a single graphic or applique joined by the brand’s logo. Others, such as the satyr button-down shirt and Pegasus long-sleeve shirt, featured images that looked more like concept art than the finished image seen in the movie.
Accessories leaned more toward concept art and sketches for decoration.
Sorcerer Mickey was the focus of the packaging for most of the collection’s nail care and skincare products.
The Disney Fantasia x Pleasing pop-up store in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs offered the merchandise in a themed setting. You’ll get a feel for the shop’s atmosphere in our reel:

Gap x Disney
Gap’s everyday clothing was a clever canvas for this collegiate-style collection. The pieces harkened back to varsity apparel and traditional school uniforms from the 90s. The complimentary colors made it easy to mix and match items to create your own look.

Every family member was taken into consideration, offering apparel for women, men, children, and toddlers. We can easily see this collection used for a Fall family portrait.
Beyond apparel, Gap and Disney crafted accessories like baseball caps and a tote.

Kith x Disney: Marvel 85th Anniversary Collection
Comic book fans were treated to a capsule collection created by Kith for Marvel’s 85th anniversary. The collection highlighted many of the villains we love to hate (or just love) on apparel, accessories, and collectibles. It even included a hugely popular custom-made comic book starring Kith founder Ronnie Fieg.
Our favorite item from the collection is undoubtedly this poster stuffed with more Marvel characters, both heroes and villains, than you can count. It has an amusing “Where’s Waldo?” quality that makes you lose track of just how long you’ve been staring at it.

Since Marvel Villains took the spotlight for this collection, many items, like the baseball cap below, had the art of one of the comic book baddies, or for some pieces, several villains were included, as seen in the sweatshirt on the right.
Another item that collectors will surely appreciate is this Infinity Gauntlet jacket. It is available in six styles with a different colored “Kith” patch on the breast. One for each of the infinity stones: blue (Space Stone), red (Reality Stone), purple (Power Stone), yellow (Mind Stone), green (Time Stone), orange (Soul Stone).

Household items, such as character clocks, a comic art-covered chair, and a decorative Infinity Gauntlet, fit right into this Villains-based collection.
The shoe company ASICS joined the fun by creating a set of shoes themed to Magneto, Green Goblin, Venom, Silver Surfer, and Spider-Man. Each pair had a color-coded exterior made to resemble a character’s costume, along with matching art-decorated insoles.
Kith x Disney: Donald Duck 90th Anniversary Collection
That’s right; Kith contributed two different collections in 2024! This second one is a Donald Duck 90th Anniversary Collection.
Perhaps one of the most enticing aspects of this collection is how many different sides of Donald Duck we see through the merchandise and that other family members are also included. The pocket tee with Scrooge McDuck diving into a pile of coins spelling “Kith” is an example of the company’s willingness to play with characters’ personalities and incorporate them into its merchandise, a strategy that the company pulls off well.
Different styles of hats, and even a skateboard deck and a jigsaw puzzle, find their place within this collection.
Merchandise Collaborations We Want to See from Disney in 2025
Now that we’ve examined the past, we can daydream about the future! If we had three wishes, here are the companies Disney would work with next. Does anyone have an old lamp lying around?

Steady Hands
Steady Hands is best known for its countless clever cardigans. They initially had mostly styles that were nods to anime, but many of those have since retired. One of the survivors is the blue and pink argyle cardigan fashioned after Howl’s coat from the Studio Ghibli film, “Howl’s Moving Castle.” Their offerings now mainly consist of original designs and collaborations with other artists and companies. However, while the focus may have shifted, the product quality and design ingenuity have remained the same.
A collaboration between this company and Disney could yield, among other things, perfect Disneybounding attire. Cardigans, sweaters, hoodies, shirts, and even pants could transform á la Cinderella’s magical ball gown into Disney-themed apparel.

The company isn’t limited to apparel, though. Similar to the Disney Mini Mix-Its launching at Disney Parks and DisneyStore.com in January, many of Steady Hands’ plush purses include dress-up accessories, like the Outlaw and Bear bags shown below. These bags come with several straps, allowing them to be worn as a hip or crossbody bag. We would love to see Disney characters in this form. Chip and Dale would be perfect choices, but when you open the vault of Disney properties, the possibilities are seemingly endless. Add Disney Parks-inspired accessories like different ear hats or perhaps a Haunted Mansion bat cravat, and you have a match made in heaven.
Designer Park Company
Disney collaborates with Loungefly and Lug on bags, but Designer Park Company’s products work a bit differently, offering the most features designed specifically for guests visiting Disney Parks. Their Rope Drop backpack is a perfect example of this. Included bespoke hydration system? Check. Multiple storage compartments, including a hidden net? Check. Places to display your pins and your ear headband? Check and check.

Designer Park Company also created a larger Master Gracey backpack, a convertible mini backpack to crossbody bag called the Park View, and the Single Rider belt bag, each one with thoughtful features like those found in the Rope Drop backpack.
They mainly come in simple colors, but we would love to see a collaboration with Disney with styles that pay homage to Disney Parks. How fun would it be to see a Master Gracey backpack made in a print similar to the Ghost Host outfits worn by Cast Members?
One might argue that this sort of collaboration has already been seen with Loungefly, but we think that these products have enough different, worthwhile features to set themselves apart from what is already sold.

You can read more about the Rope Drop backpack in our review:
Betabrand
With how popular lululemon’s collection was, a collaboration with Betabrand, known for its classy activewear and everyday apparel, is a good match in our book. Their higher-end look would be especially fitting for a store like the D-Lander Shop in Downtown Disney or onboard the Disney Cruise Line. Simply add a Mickey applique with a matching color scheme or some other subtle Disney touches for a sure hit.

Betabrand’s various styles of pants frequently include tons of pockets, a feature that will surely be appreciated by guests juggling phones, external batteries, and other odds and ends needed for a successful park day. For example, their Journey active wear pants boast six pockets and are made for hiking and other high-intensity activities, making them an excellent choice for a day at the Parks.
