Our favorite whip-wielding professor, Indiana Jones, has seen more than his fair share of action in the past, even his own Disneyland attraction (which was recently refreshed with new magic!). But he is entering the fray once again in order to help Funko Games create four new games. Whether for a small group or a large one, there’s something here to add a taste of adventure to the gathering.

Indiana Jones Cryptic

With the help of Indiana Jones’s journal and maps, this escape room-in-a-box puts you in his shoes as you use your wits to decode ancient messages, uncover clues, and find your way through treacherous terrain. There are three different scenarios featuring 18 scenes from the films, and they can be played with just one adventurer or a whole team of explorers (ages 10 and up); there is no restriction on the number of players for this game. A typical game session lasts 60 to 90 minutes per adventure (remember: there are three!).

The Indiana Jones Cryptic Game is available now from Funko or Amazon for $34.99.

Indiana Jones: Throw Me the Idol!

This next Indiana Jones-themed Funko Games offering will require you to use both your brains and your brawn as you traverse the many traps hidden in a long-forgotten temple. Two to ten players (ages 7 and up) split into two teams representing either Indy himself or his rival René Belloq. Teams race to reach the Golden Idol by building paths through matching cards. But it doesn’t end there! Players will face “Daring Challenges,” resembling familiar traps and scenarios from the movies. A typical game session lasts about 30 minutes.

The Indiana Jones: Throw Me the Idol! Game is available now from Funko and Amazon for $22.99.

Something Wild!: Indiana Jones

And now for a different kind of “wild,” here is the Something Wild!: Indiana Jones Game! This card game may ring a bell as it has many variations based on different characters, such as Steamboat Willie. Gameplay is similar to Crazy Eights, where two to four players (ages 6 and up) attempt to collect cards in different colors with the same character ( called a “set”) or in a number sequence with the same background color (known as a “run”). But what happens after that makes this game unique, with different characters providing abilities that players can use. You can get a better idea with this tutorial:

Indiana Jones: Sands of Adventure

Two to four players (ages 8 and up) can relive the excitement of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark with this cooperative board game. It includes four detailed figures and a rather ominous hourglass, which serve the players’ characters and an element of the challenge, respectively. When the hourglass flips, be prepared for an immediate enemy encounter! Players work together to survive three rounds of the game while defeating foes and the final boss. It is up to you to save the Ark!

The Indiana Jones: Sands of Adventure Game is scheduled to arrive at Target stores on June 18, 2023.
