My spidey sense is tingling, so it must be time for another Disneyland Merchandise Update! In this Update, we’ll go web-slinging with Miles Morales, swim under the sea with Ariel, and explore tons more new merchandise from the Disneyland Resort. Let’s dive right in!
Part of Her Cozy World
A new merchandise collection inspired by The Little Mermaid has washed ashore at the Disneyland Resort. The overall feel is more modest than much of what we see in Disney Princess merchandise, with its use of muted tones. The items focus more on motifs related to Ariel and less on the princess herself.
In terms of apparel, offerings include a sweatshirt and a cropped t-shirt. Each piece has a different image printed on it. Which one do you prefer?
There is also a matching Ear Headband.
Regarding home decor, we spotted an accent light shaped like a clam shell with a pearl inside as the bulb…
… as well as a shell-shaped decorative pillow. It used an all-over print that features the stylized art of Ariel, also found on the apparel, joined by starfish, clams, and coral.
The collection also includes a knitted tail-like throw blanket with textures to mimic the appearance of scales and two fins at the bottom. Ariel’s signature is embroidered in a subtle silver thread along the waist portion.
Miles Morales Makes His Disneyland Merchandise Debut
Black History Month’s Celebrate Soulfully event is still going strong at the Disneyland Resort. And it’s the perfect time to introduce merchandise of the Spider-Man of “Into the Spider-Verse,” Miles Morales. This new collection features art by the illustrator Mateus Manhanini. The artist provides cover art for Marvel Comics, among others.
Mateus created an image of Miles freefalling through a cityscape as the key art for the collection.
The collection has a shirt and a zippered hoodie using variations of the art. The hoodie also has Miles’s Spider-Man emblem on the back.
The collection also includes a trading pin from the Marvel Artist Series. It is packaged on a fancy backing with the focal image used on the merchandise on the front and a short artist profile on the back.
Aside from the pin, other accessories include a hat and a water bottle with wraparound art.
Odds & Ends
The artist SHAG recently contributed a camp shirt incorporating imagery from several Disneyland locales, like the Haunted Mansion, Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Main Street, USA. We found this garment at the Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney, but you can also buy it at Disneyana in Disneyland.
One of my favorite new releases is this Lotso Huggin’ Bear crossbody bag by Loungefly (I am a sucker for merchandise of that character). He’s fuzzy, strawberry-scented, and happy to hold your belongings!
Easter may not be hopping our way for a while, but you can get ready early with these plushes of Mickey and Minnie in rabbit costumes.
And this shimmery, sequin-encrusted Lavender Ear Headband also has a “Springtime” feel.
After Spring is Summer and, with it, graduation season! The popular graduation ears return as both an Ear Headband and Ear Hat.
More Fun From Fun.com
Beyond Miles Morales merchandise at Disneyland, Fun.com also carries goodies from the Marvel universe. The online retailer recently launched pre-orders for two Scarlet Witch-themed exclusives, a Funko POP! Scarlet Witch figure ($11.99, estimated to ship at the end of March) and a matching Scarlet Witch Loungefly Mini Backpack ($79.99, estimated to ship at the end of April). The figure is a glow-in-the-dark of the Scarlet Witch #1007 Funko POP!, making both pieces extra-special.
There are also two new exclusive Loungefly accessories that have already been released and are ready to ship! The first is the Funko POP! Minnie Mouse Mini Backpack ($79.99), with a style that blends Miss Mouse with the simple POP! look. The second is the Winnie the Pooh Rainy Day Backpack ($59.99), a full-sized bag with an adorable all-over print.
