This Disneyland Merchandise Update is full of heroes, sidekicks, Star Wars, and Stitch! We’ll take a look at new items for Lightyear and Thor: Love and Thunder (spoilers: both have unbelievably cute plushes). There’s also a new Star Wars fashion collection that toy collectors will definitely get a kick out of and a celebration of all things Lilo & Stitch in honor of 626 Day (read on to find out more about this unofficial Disney holiday), and plenty more. Let’s take a look!
To the Checkout Counter and Beyond!
Disney*Pixar’s Lightyear has finally landed in theaters (no spoilers, please!) and Disneyland is well-prepared for the excitement with a large range of movie merchandise.
Toys
As you can imagine for a spinoff of Toy Story, there are tons of toys for fans to look forward to.
All you need to do is watch a trailer to fall in love with Buzz’s robot companion, Sox. This character plush has joints at all four legs as well as his neck. And he is butter-soft to the touch.
As for our hero himself, Buzz has several action figures to call his own.
What’s a hero without a villain? Zurg also gets the action figure treatment.
Apparel and Accessories
Details on this Lightyear-themed Ear Headband include art of Sox on one of the “ears” and glow-in-the-dark accents.
The kiddos can choose shirts that highlight either the battle between good and evil or camaraderie and teamwork.
There is also a kid-sized zippered hoodie featuring Buzz and some line art and pockets that close with zippers, which you don’t see very often. Another kids option is something called a “shacket” (a shirt/jacket-hybrid), which is decorated with an image of the XL-15.
These pants are made to match the kid’s shacket.
In terms of adult graphic tees, the designs lean heavily on grid-like backgrounds.
Outerspace gets awfully chilly. Thankfully, there is this pullover sweatshirt and this windbreaker jacket. Pair them together and you’ll be extra-cozy and warm.
And just like we saw in kid’s apparel, adults also get matching pants.
And More!
There are two Lightyear-themed water bottle options. The first is made of metal and has glow-in-the-dark details. The second is plastic with a flip-up handle and art with a more cartoony look.
Attach this metal keychain to the accessory of your choosing and show off your allegiance to Star Command.

If You Love Thunder, This Merchandise is for You
Thor: Love and Thunder won’t hit theaters until July 8 but a good amount of merchandise is already at the Resort.
Apparel and Accessories
The Thor Ear Headband, seen on this mannequin, is one of the more odd-looking styles available. I get that it is made to resemble Thor’s winged helmet (or perhaps Mighty Thor’s one?) but it just looks so puffy and cumbersome.
This vegan leather women’s jacket is made to resemble Mighty Thor’s breastplate and gauntlets. It is a cool “everyday cosplay” option that I think works well with the source material.
This trucker hat advertises tours of New Asgard, where refugees from Asgard settled after Ragnarok.
This Thor shirt for adults has a very 80s feel to it.
These kids’ shirts have a similar vibe.
Toys
Following the trend of many other Marvel heroines, there is a doll crafted in the likeness of Mighty Thor.
Great as accessories for an imaginary play session, these are kids’ costumes that resemble the armor worn by Thor and Mighty Thor.
A plush set of mythological goats? Sign me up! This pair of plushes depicts Thor’s noble cloven-hooved friends, Toothgrinder and Toothgnasher.
More Merchandise
One side of this metal water bottle has a graphic depicting Thor and Mighty Thor from different angles (with Mjolnir thrown in for good measure) and the other reads “Mighty” in a lightning-accented font.
The thunder-producing hammer, Mjolnir, has shrunk to the size of a keychain. In fact, it is a keychain (with glow-in-the-dark effects, no less)!
Vintage Toys Inspire a New Look
If you grew up in the 80s and early 90s, you probably remember seeing those Star Wars action figures from the original trilogy at toy stores (maybe you even owned a few!). Well, this fashion collection pays homage to those old-school playthings.
My personal favorite is this sling backpack by Loungefly. Not only does it include an image of the whole action figure line (plus some added snark by way of a talk bubble) but the backside has art similar to the graphics on the back of an action figure’s packaging, complete with a mail-order form.
This hat has a patch with the same image as the front of the sling backpack accompanied by themed embellishments.
The clever image also makes an appearance on a shirt.
Another adult-sized piece is this “Vader’s Security Services” pullover hoodie. The kangaroo pocket has the motto “Never underestimated.”
These two shirts focus on Princess Leia, one for adults and another for kids, respectively.
Disney Pride Collection Continues to Share the Love
As we expected, additional items for the Disney Pride Collection have been released since we last covered the initial wave of merchandise near the beginning of the month.
These Hidden Mickey trading pins represent different LBGTQIA+ flags.
This fun Mickey Popsocket is a fun and functional way to celebrate Pride Month.
Another function item, especially given the recent uncomfortably hot temperatures in Southern California, is this folding fan.
Toys
The smooth-textured Stitch plush is both colorful and huggable.
Part of this month’s Smile Collection of nuiMOs apparel, these rainbow-hued outfits also belong to the Disney Pride Collection.
Spirit Jersey and Loungefly, both brands that create accessories for nuiMOs, contributed to the Disney Pride Collection in the form of these pint-sized goodies.
Odds & Ends
June’s nuiMOs releases include a plush of Marie from The Aristocats along with the Smile Collection of outfits. I find it a bit disappointing that only Marie made it to the States when Toulouse and Berlioz both had nuiMOs versions released in Japan.
Raya’s noble steed, Tuk Tuk, joins Disney’s line of magnetic shoulder plushes.
Main Street Electrical Parade continues to roll out in the form of a shirt and folding hand fan. The shirt is extra-special because it was released on the parade’s 50th anniversary (June 17, 2022) and has the date included on the art on the front.
Thor was not the only Marvel character to be treated to a new Loungefly Mini Backpack design. This one is inspired by the robes worn by Dr. Strange.
The Fourth of July is almost here and Disney is all ready to go with several themed items. Options include a Loungefly Mini Backpack, a Mickey Mouse plush, a Minnie Mouse plush, and a sequin-covered Ear Headband.
If you dig cottage core fashion and decor, you are going to love this Cottage Ear Headband.
Another belated Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction Collection series was released. For the “it’s a small world” series, the Ear Headband, plush, pin, and key (not pictured – it may be sold out) were available but the Loungefly Mini Backpack is still MIA. What do you think of this design?
Another color collection has arrived at the Disneyland Resort. This time, it is a deep pink called “Orchid.”
Celebrate Stitch for 626 Day!
Today is June 26… also known as 626 Day in honor of Disney’s Experiment 626, Stitch! And this year’s 626 Day is extra-special as Lilo & Stitch is celebrating 20 years since the film’s release. Here is some merchandise from shopDisney (some are also at the Parks) to help you get into the spirit!
This Stitch Tie-Dye Pullover Hoodie for Adults ($54.99) has a kangaroo pocket in the front and is decorated with art of Stitch chilling at the beach with his ukelele on the back and front chest.
The movies represented in the Disney VHS Collection are all celebrating a milestone anniversary of some kind. So, of course, this VHS Stitch Plush ($22.99) had to be included. Made in a flat style similar to the long-retired Pookalooz plushes, this stuffed Stitch also comes with Lilo’s Scrump doll, which he is hugging tightly. The toy is packaged in a box that resembles a VHS case, with a magnetic closure.
And for toting around beach supplies (city ones work, too), this Crossbody Bag ($24.99) or Roll-Top Backpack ($29.99) can handle the job. Just pick which size fits the amount you’re carrying and you are good to go!
You can spend some quality time with your ohana assembling this Lilo & Stitch 20th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle ($24.99), which is full of scenes from the movie. The puzzle consists of 1000 pieces so expect the fun while likely last several sessions.
Snow White has a New Look
The ninth princess in the Disney Designer Collection of fashion dolls is the original Disney Princess, Snow White. The Fairest One of All is dressed in an outfit designed by Steve Thompson, an artist who has lent his style to many Disney art and products. Some of the details on the outfit include a golden crown, a velvet cape with a ruffled collar, and a detailed satin bodice. Snow White herself measures 12 inches tall plus she is fully posable and comes with a display stand, should you choose to remove her from her collector’s box. She is available now on shopDisney for $129.99.
In addition to shopDisney, this new doll is also available in select stores in Disneyland. Here she is on display at World of Disney.
