Would you rather be fighting baddies with super heroes, modeling at a fashion show, or visiting a galaxy far, far away? No matter what you chose, this week’s Disneyland Merchandise Update has something for you! Highlights include a multitude of Marvel items, Cruella couture, some new cargo from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and many other goodies.
All Things Marvel
With Avengers Campus opening in Disney California Adventure next week (June 4, to be exact), a huge influx of Marvel merchandise has hit the shelves both inside the Parks and in Downtown Disney.
Over in World of Disney, a relatively large corner near the plush toys is now dedicated to items themed to Earth’s mightiest heroes. The area not only houses new goodies but also related products that were previously available.
This Loki-themed Ear Headband is designed after the God of Mischief’s helmet and while it looks impressive on display, it sadly looks a bit goofy atop a person’s head.
I am normally not the biggest fan of the Big Feet plushes but I actually love the look of this Rocket Raccoon plush.
In the corner of World of Disney’s Marvel area, there are plenty of items for pretend play (or cosplay).
If mixing super heroes with building blocks is your jam, you will be excited to learn that two LEGO sets are available, the Iron Man Hall of Armor and Avengers Hulk Helicopter Rescue.
There is a lot of Spider-Man merchandise, too, including two Toy Box play sets. And one of the sets, surprisingly, included the character Spider-Ham!
Another Spider-Man highlight is this figurine set.
And for you Iron Man fans, World of Disney has a Toy Box Hall of Armor Play Set and Repulsor Gloves (not to be confused with the one compatible with Avengers Campus’s Web Slingers attraction).
I know many of us have been watching The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+. World of Disney has a collector’s edition action figure from the series but it is a bit of a spoiler, which seems like an odd choice to me.
While not labeled for the Disney+ mini-series, this collector’s edition figure is made in the likeness of the Winter Soldier.
Captain Marvel gets the action figure treatment as well.
Over in World of Disney’s shirts area, you’ll find some new kids shirts adorned with Marvel characters.
Cruella Hits the Runway
Cruella’s new live-action movie is now available on Disney+ (with premier access) and in theaters. And just in case you forgot about the film, there are plenty of apparel and accessories around to the Disneyland Resort to remind you.
This bold ensemble is comprised of an evening dress and jacket by Her Universe joined by a Loungefly purse.
Like the majority of the Cruella merchandise, this Loungefly wallet (one side is black and the other is white) has an “edgy” feel to it, punctuated by fashion-themed appliqué patches and graffiti-like accents.
Other pieces include various shirts for both men and women, a skirt, as well as an additional dress.
A 101 Dalmatians section is incorporated into World of Disney’s Cruella display. Clever or off-putting? You decide.
In a Store Far, Far Away
Let’s make a jump to lightspeed and head over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where a good number of new items have arrived.
Our first stop is the Toydarian Toymaker. In a set of baskets at the front of the stall are a trio of new plushes! The new additions are Darth Maul, Jar Jar Binks, and Dok-Ondar. All three of them are made in the style of the other plushes, to give them a handmade look.
Next is Black Spire Outfitters, where some Mandalorian and Boba Fett-themed goods are now stocked.
And finally, we visit the Creature Stall, where two new pets are up for adoption. The Lava Meerkat has a more plush body than the other creatures (it does still have some hard bits inside – just less of it). Touching the critter’s head activates sounds and its body is posable.
The other Creature Stall addition is a different color of Loth Cat. This one has a blue color scheme, compared to the previously-released brown one.
4th of July Preparation
Independence Day may still be a ways away but it looks like Disney is getting the party started early. There is a new collection of merchandise in red, white, and blue with Mickey Mouse imagery. Apparel options include several shirts, a bucket hat, and some lounge shorts.
As for accessories, you’ll find an American flag-inspired Ear Headband (yes, it is a redesign from last year) and a face mask.
Out-of-This-World Goods from Experiment 626
Some additional merchandise was added to the Stitch display at World of Disney. You may recall this display as the location for the Stitch Weighted Comfort Plush, shown in a previous update.
This journal has 3D elements on the cover. You can feel the stripes on the back and the “torn” bit on the front along with Stitch caught between them. And I think a lot of us can sympathize with the “I am trying to keep it together” phrase on the front.
As if to match the journal (although sold separately, of course), a new glittery pencil case is also on the display. The zippered portion is Stitch’s mouth, with the pompom on the zipper pull. I can’t help wishing Disney went with a fuzzy fabric over a glittery one. It just doesn’t look right to me.
The art style on this mug is similar to that on the journal, with our favorite alien playing with the mug’s lines.
Odds & Ends
This week, there were many, many miscellaneous items to be found so we are doing something a little different and sorting them by the location in which I found them. Some items may also be purchased in additional places, however.
In the Parks
The velour ears on this new Striped Ear Headband are encrusted wth little rhinestones of different colors. When combined with the multicolor pleated bow, it brings to mind the rainbow light seen shining through a prism.
Another Loungefly wristlet has landed and it is a perfect match for the Mini Backpack seen in the previous update.
Interestingly, even more accessories for Disney nuiMOs are now available. They are typically released on the first Monday of the month but these ones, which fit with May’s Summer Fashion Collection, are very late for some reason. We spotted the umbrella two weeks ago and it is now joined by a beach chair and flamingo-shaped life preserve.

At the Disney Dress Shop
I love the delicate look of the print on this new Dooney & Bourke line. It features Tinker Bell surrounded by flowers against a white background. Compared to more recent releases like the Moana and 101 Dalmatians lines, this one looks far less busy.
The 70th anniversary for the Disney’s Alice In Wonderland is this July and you can get an unbirthday gift now in the form of this Kate Spade Mini Backpack. It is decorated with the Cheshire Cat on the front.
Normally the Disney Dress Shop mannequins are wearing, well, dresses but this one is adorned in the new Pixar jumpsuit. The print is covered with silhouettes of characters from different Pixar films.
Inside World of Disney
Another piece of Orange Bird merchandise has inexplicably made its way to this coast in the form of this tumbler with straw.
World of Disney has added several new camp shirts to their shelves. The patterns are themed character hats (this one seems strange to me), 101 Dalmatians, the Monorail, and Sebastian the crab.
This clear tote, inspired by Minnie’s polkadot bow, also includes an inner pouch, lined with a polkadot print.
Fans of Pirates of the Caribbean will surely recall the scene from the attraction depicted on this new Funko POP! figure. The pirate skeleton sits atop a pile of treasure, guarding it from beyond the grave. The “treasure” on this figure has a shiny, shimmery quality to it.
Fans of The Mandalorian who can’t make it into Galaxy’s Edge can still indulge their fandom with this costume (sorry, kids-only on this one) and a Darksaber from Hasbro for pretend play (this one, at least, has no age limit).
Any pin collectors in the house? There are several eye-catching pins to be found at World of Disney.
To celebrate it’s a small world’s 55th anniversary, a slew of new pins, including one jumbo pin were released. There is even a Passholder-exclusive one!
Disney+’s Loki series hasn’t started just yet (it begins June 9) but here are some pins to tide you over until the premiere.
Like it’s a small world, Disney-Pixar’s Cars is also celebrating a milestone with its 15th anniversary. There are two pins available and one is exclusive to Passholders.

Loungefly Bags for Pin Collectors
Speaking of Disney pins, here are some creative accessories to store and display your favorites. All three of the options I selected are made by Loungefly and have a similar design. They are backpacks include a window pocket with perforated backing for pins. There is also an additional main compartment.
My favorite of the trio is this Winnie the Pooh Pin Collector Backpack ($75). The somewhat vacant expression on the willy, nilly, silly, ol’ bear is endearing. This backpack comes with a bonus Piglet pin.
Princess lovers will certainly be drawn to this Beauty and the Beast Pin Collector Backpack ($75). It is made in the likeness of the Beast’s enchanted rose. One of the little touches that I especially appreciate is that the backpack’s hanging loop is shaped to resemble the top of the lid on the rose’s dome. It comes with a pin of the Beast’s castle. Fancy!
This last one, the POP by Loungefly Mickey Pin Collector Backpack ($75) is fashioned after, you guessed it, Funko’s POP! figures. This Mickey has the traditional POP! look, with big head, monochromatic eyes, and simplified facial features, but rather than displaying it on a shelf, you wear it on your back! This backpack comes with a Sorcerer Mickey pin, also in the Funko POP! style.
The Darker Side of Dinnerware
Some people just love Disney villains. And it looks like that amount is no small number given the huge variety of villains merchandise on the market. But this Villains-Themed 16 Piece Ceramic Dinnerware Set ($119.99) is one of the more unique items to choose from. It includes a dinner plate, salad plate, soup bowl and mug for each of these four fan-favorite baddies: Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jafar, and Ursula.
And while not evil, The Nightmare Before Christmas can still be considered rather dark in theme. This Nightmare Before Christmas 16 Piece Ceramic Dinnerware Set ($119.99) has a spooky spiderweb design around the pieces’ borders.
