‘Tis the season to spread joy. But that warm feeling doesn’t have to be limited to your friends and family! With their partnership with Toys for Tots as well as Make-A-Wish, Disney is helping you share moments of happiness with children who are going through difficult times.
Toys for Tots
Whether you’re stuck at home or visiting the Disney Parks, you can gift a toy to a child in need. For those paying a visit to Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs or Disneyland’s Downtown Disney, you can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the Toys for Tots donation spot (a picture of it was included in our last Disneyland Update), now through December 13. You can also purchase a toy to donate from this section on shopDisney or drop off a new, unwrapped gift at your local Disney Store. For every toy donated, Disney will donate $1 to Toys for Tots. And, if you purchase this Gingerbread Mickey and Minnie pin, Disney will also donate $1 to Toys for Tots:

Make-A-Wish
You may be familiar with Make-A-Wish, the charity that grants special wishes to children in need (many of those wishes end up being trips to Disneyland or Disney World). Disney has had a long relationship with the charity, but this year has made it impossible for sick kids to visit the parks. But that hasn’t stopped Disney from doing everything it can to support Make-A-Wish and make a little magic along the way.
We’d like to introduce you to a very special Princess. María, a young girl with leukemia, wanted to be a princess. You can see the video of her wish being granted below. Bring some tissues— it’s just so sweet.
Disney has been working with Make-A-Wish for 40 years this year, and several new merchandise lines are now available, online and in the Parks, to celebrate the occasion. And the best part is that 25 percent of the price of each of these items purchased through April 29, 2021, will be donated to Make-A-Wish (up to $500,000).
This week, Disney released both a new animated short and a new Mickey Plush in support of the charity:
