Disney has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a very long time (40 years in fact) and to honor that milestone Disney has created the Wishes Come True Blue merchandise collection. With the stars and sparkly blues, I would wager that the inspiration for this collection is none other than Sorcerer Mickey. And that’s not the only reason this collection is so special. Until the next Make-A-Wish Day on April 29, 2021, Disney will donate 25 percent of the purchase price for every piece from this collection that is sold (up to $500,000) to Make-A-Wish. Let’s take a look at this magically charitable collection!
True Blue Headwear
Minnie Mouse Ear Headband ($29.99)
This Ear Headband’s design is similar to what we have seen in previous color collections. What makes it stand apart is the somewhat subtleness of the shimmer in the bow and the more delicate appearance of the glitter on the ears. Simply put, this one appears to be a step above the others in its composition.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, shopDisney (US and UK), and Disney Stores in North America
Mickey Mouse Adjustable Ear Headband ($24.99)
This adjustable Ear Headband is the first of its kind. It was created so that children with disabilities can wear them comfortably. Just like the Minnie Mouse Ear Headband we just looked at, the ears are made with glittery, blue fabric.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, shopDisney (US and UK), and Disney Stores in North America
Mickey Mouse Baseball Cap for Adults ($27.99)
This shiny baseball cap features a screen printed Mickey on the front. It has contrast stitching on the curved bill along with the phrase “Wishes Come True” embroidered on the back, above the adjustable backstrap.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, shopDisney, and Disney Stores in North America
Cloth Face Mask by Spirit Jersey ($12.99)
Yes, even face masks are included in this color collection! There are two styles available, Disneyland and Walt Disney World, each with a “D” in the respective Resort’s font printed on it. It should be noted that these face masks are made by Spirit Jersey so if the ones currently sold at Disney Parks aren’t comfortable for you, you may want to give these a try.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort (Walt Disney World-style mask), Disneyland Resort (Disneyland-style mask), and shopDisney (both styles)
True Blue Apparel
Spirit Jersey for Adults ($69.99)
Like most Spirit Jerseys you find at a Disney Resort, the chest has art and the back has wording. In this case, it is the letter “D” in either Walt Disney World or Disneyland font with the corresponding Resort spelled out along the back. Even though the layout is typical, this one is awfully pretty and I love the glitter accents in the fabric. They go nicely with the silver lettering.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort (Walt Disney World-style Spirit Jersey), Disneyland Resort (Disneyland-style Spirit Jersey), and shopDisney (both styles)
Pullover Top for Women ($54.99)
At first glance, you might think these are another pair of Spirit Jerseys but you would be wrong. These are actually women’s tops that have slightly different cut with dropped shoulders. The biggest difference is in the lettering. Compared to the Spirit Jersey’s backside lettering printed between the shoulders, these are found on the front, all across the arms and the chest… And rather than being puff paint, they are silver appliqué.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort (Walt Disney World-style Pullover), Disneyland Resort (Disneyland-style Pullover), and shopDisney (both styles)
Mickey Mouse Leggings for Women ($39.99)
These leggings are covered with silvery foil Mickeys, stars, and moons. They would work well with either the Spirit Jersey or the Pullover Top.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, shopDisney, and Disney Stores in North America
Spirit Jersey for Kids ($49.99)
It is great that kids get a Spirit Jersey of their own for this collection. The Spirit Jersey’s print, filled with Mickeys, moons, and stars, is sure to be a kid-pleaser. Like the adult Spirt Jersey, there is one has both Walt Disney World and Disneyland designs.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort (Walt Disney World-style Spirit Jersey), Disneyland Resort (Disneyland-style Spirit Jersey), and shopDisney (both styles)
Ringer for Kids ($24.99)
Okay, I am sincerely jealous that this shirt doesn’t come in adult sizing. It’s got classic Mickey on the front and heather grey ribbing to contrast the Wishes Come True Blue. What’s not to love?
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort (Walt Disney World-style Ringer), Disneyland Resort (Disneyland-style Ringer), and shopDisney (both styles)
Accessories
Minnie Mouse Sequined Loungefly Mini Backpack ($90)
Loungefly Mini Backpacks are a Disney Resort souvenir staple these days. The main compartment of this one is covered with blue sequins with a white faux leather bow. The smaller, front pocket is blue faux leather with white star cutouts. A cool detail is that the white on the front pocket as well as the bow has small stars embossed on it.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, shopDisney (US and UK), and Disney Stores in North America
Minnie Mouse Sequined Loungefly Wristlet ($45)
If a Mini Backpack is more than you want to carry but you still need a little something, may I offer this Wristlet as an alternative? It looks very similar to the backpack. Really, the only difference (other than the size) is the front pocket. With a white pocket and blue star cutout, it reverses the color arrangement seen on the backpack. The white fabric is still the same so if you love all those little embossed stars, you’ll enjoy this.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, shopDisney (US and UK), and Disney Stores in North America
Mickey Mouse Bangle by Alex and Ani ($49.99)
The Wishes Come True Blue collection gets even sparklier with this Bangle. The charms included are a crescent moon, two dangling stars (I am choosing to believe they are shooting stars), a clear bead, and a Mickey Mouse icon.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa, and shopDisney
Mickey Mouse Clogs for Adults by Crocs ($59.99)
These are definitely the only Crocs I have ever classified as “magical.” But how can I not? With all that glitter, they look like have been pixie-dusted. And those silver icons invoke memories of watching the Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment of Fantasia.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and shopDisney
Mickey Mouse MagicBand2 ($29.99)
If the sorcerer cap on this MagicBand2 doesn’t prove Wishes Come True Blue was inspired by Sorcerer Mickey, I don’t know what does! Use it at Walt Disney World to accompany the rest of this color collection.
Sold at: Walt Disney World Resort and shopDisney
