Yesterday we brought you the latest Disneyland news and construction updates from a very busy Disneyland. Today we turn our eye, and our wallets, to some of the merchandise in the parks.

Highlights include goodies for the 80s and 90s kids, a dog pile’s worth of plush toys, an avalanche of Frozen 2 merchandise, and a nod to Gay Days. There’s a lot to see, so let’s get this show on the road!

What Decade Is It Again?

There are several pieces of apparel and accessories that definitely have those born in the 80s and 90s in mind. These shirts are the most obvious of the options, with the decades actually in the graphic. Each features characters from the decade on the shirt. The 80s has The Gummy Bears on it (remember them?), which makes it an instant winner in my book.

Who remembers the Mickey Mouse Club from the 90s? This new product line should help jog your memory. They have the MMC logo from that era along with some very 90s graphics.

The denim jacket’s red Mickey name tag is also similar to those on the cast’s jackets.

If you were around in the 80s, you can probably remember the home-fitness craze. And if you loved Disney, you may remember that Mousercise was a blend of both. Disneyland now has a few items dedicated to the exercise program.

The Best Kind Of Afternoons

After school, the Disney Afternoon block of cartoons was one of the things I used to look forward to. It included classics like Ducktales and Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers and Disney is letting us relive the good old days (minus the homework) with this new merchandise.

Here are some of the newer Ducktales merchandise.

Celebrating All Things Marvel

Marvel comics recently had its 80th birthday so Disney prepared some party favors for the occasion. And by “party favors,” I mean stuff you can buy. I spotted these two special phone case designs.

Avengers Campus may not open in Disney California Adventure until 2020, but merchandise has already started to appear. Like the rest of the goods in this section, these two shirts were spotted at the Collector’s Warehouse.

The Worldwide Engineering Brigade (WEB) will house the upcoming Spider-Man ride in the new land.

Also tying into the Avengers was this Legends Series Infinity Gauntlet. And let me tell you, the box for this thing is enormous.

It was a long time coming but Disney finally made a plush of the Vyloos seen in the queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Breakout. This guy is a decent size and has a weighted bottom.

Plush Toy Bonanza

The Vyloo isn’t the only new plush in town, though – not by a long shot. There’s a lot of new Disney friends available, so buckle up, take a deep breath, and let’s meet them all!

The latest additions to the Disney Dream Friends series are Sven and previously, Sulley. You may recall this series previously had a Pillow Pal-style design. They have since been reborn into this slightly under-stuffed, cuddle pillow design. It is a major glow up.

October’s edition for the Classic Cozy Knits collection is Baloo from The Jungle Book. Like all previous plushes in this collection, Baloo is a limited release so don’t wait too long if you are eyeing him.

Lotso Huggin’ Bear joins the Big Feet series (not to be confused with shopDisney’s Little Big Feet series). And yes, Lotso smells like strawberries, just as you would expect from the character.

The previous design of Forky (seen in this article) was recalled because of a choking hazard with his googly eyes. He was missing from the shelves for a while but recently returned with new, embroidered eyes.

This year’s Halloween Time Cars plush is based on the sugar skulls from Dia de los Muertos. Last year the witch car was offered (although, you can see her in ornament form near the end of the article). The colorful decoration that covers the plush is printed on the fabric not embroidered.

It’s the 70th anniversary of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and you can honor the occasion with this plush box set featuring Toad himself and the sinister Headless Horseman.

October’s Wishables set is called the Haunted Mansion Holiday Series. The characters included are Jack Skellington, Zero, Scary Teddy, Giant Snake (seen in the attic with the Naughty and Nice List), as well as Oogie Boogie (he’s the chaser and available outside of the bag).

Looking beyond Halloween, we’ve got Thanksgiving on the way, and Mickey and Minnie are all decked out and ready to celebrate. These plushes are sold separately.

Put a Lid On It

The Designer Ears series has had a few new releases (including the $600 Heidi Klum headband). The most recent of which is the Hope Leia Headband, designed by Ashley Eckstein. The headband was briefly available at D23 Expo and then released at the Parks on October 4th. Other new additions include a headband by Betsey Johnson (the one that resembles a pair of hot pink loofahs) and a ear hat by SHAG, which is themed to The Enchanted Tiki Room.

This Haunted Mansion ear headband highlights the singing busts found in the attraction’s graveyard scene. The band has the phrase “Grim Grinning Ghosts” embroidered on it.

The Simba headband has been around for a while but it is now joined by Stitch, Mike Wazowski, and Buttercup versions. They seem to be popular alternatives to ear hats and headbands.

, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Blast from the Past, Frozen 2, and Rainbows for All

It is still pretty warm out but Disney is helping us plan ahead with these new cold-weather accessories. The red hat has two pompoms on the top, resembling mouse ears, and the words “Best Day Ever” written in sequins on the band. As for the blue hat and scarf, both have the castle on it. The hat says “My Happy Place” while the scarf has multiple phrases on it.

Don’t Believe Me? Ask the Dishes!

The Alice in Wonderland coffee mug and teacup got a fresh coat of paint. They are still the same mold but have brighter colors and include more cutesy images. I personally like this new look better.

The Disney Homestead Collection is also available at the Parks. The collection includes items like placemats, canisters, plates, cups, and more.

How to Be a Closet Disney Fan

This new design with stripes of colors and the castle is available on a hoodie, a shirt, and a pair of jogger pants.

These sweatshirts have a character’s smiling face on the front (choose Mickey, Pluto, or Donald). The funny thing is the backside of the sweatshirt also has the back of the character’s head. Is it me or is the Mickey one the most boring of the bunch?

, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Blast from the Past, Frozen 2, and Rainbows for All

A new Spirit Jersey rocketed onto shelves, too. This one is themed to Pizza Planet from Toy Story. The front has one of the Little Green Men from the film along with the words “Pizza Planet.” The words and logo from the front are also found on the back in the typical Spirit Jersey style.

Since its still Halloween Time and villainy is en vogue, I am sure this villain-themed shirt will be popular. The matching leggings have images of many different Disney villains.

With the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay in effect, it makes sense for there to be an influx of new Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise.

This Halloween Time shirt from Cars Land was cute but it’s strange that they used last year’s seasonal car in the image rather than the candy skull one.

For When You Just Can’t Seem to Let It Go

Hot off the heels of the merchandise reveals at the Frozen Fan Fest, World of Disney crafted their own section of Frozen 2 merchandise. Disneyland has a mix of Parks-exclusive stuff along with items that are also available at shopDisney.

There are plenty of costumes for kids in the new designs as well as the original ones.

There is also more functional clothing that could work as a costume. They are, unfortunately, sized only for kids.

Loungefly gets in on the Frozen 2 merchandise action with this Olaf mini-backpack. It has a sequin-covered exterior with dangling stick arms and “hair” that pokes up. Olaf isn’t actually my favorite of the Frozen characters (it’s Sven, if you were wondering) but I do like this backpack.

Love Truly Does Come in Every Color

Gay Days Anaheim took place October 4th-6th. And to mark the occasion, Disney released the Love Comes In Every Color collection. It should be noted that there was more in this collection than pictured. You can see additional merchandise here.

Room for One More (on the Shelf)?

If haunted dollhouses sound like your kind of thing, you are going to love these dioramas based on scenes from The Haunted Mansion. There are currently two available, the Seance Circle featuring Madame Leota and the Attic with the Bride. Judging by the pictures on the boxes, they look like great recreations of classic moments in the attraction.

, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Blast from the Past, Frozen 2, and Rainbows for All

Madame Leota got the Funko POP! treatment a bit ago and then promptly disappeared from the shelves. The Glow-in-the-Dark version, which is exclusive to Disney Parks, was back in stock as of October 10th.

This and That

This Disney Parks Icons Loungefly mini-backpack is now available. The pattern features images like dole whips, magic bands, and the castle along with the wifi signal, a diamond, and headphones. This is a bit of a weird one in my opinion.

, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Blast from the Past, Frozen 2, and Rainbows for All

Several popular Loungefly mini-backpack styles have been reimagined as wristlets.

From October 10th-13th, Linda Rick was at Off the Page in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure from noon to 10pm. A showcase of her dolls was on display and the artist was available for signings during that period.

, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Blast from the Past, Frozen 2, and Rainbows for All

These Cars Land ornaments were spotted at Sarge’s Surplus Hut. Among this year’s Halloween car, there were still ornaments of the Witch Car from last Halloween Time and Snowy the Snow Car from Holiday Time.

, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Blast from the Past, Frozen 2, and Rainbows for All

The candy kitchens around the Park now have these little bags filled with freshly-made candy. The candy-maker marks off what kind of confection it is with a marker on the bag. How cool is that?

Well, that’s it for this Disneyland Merchandise Update! There’s a lot that I liked this time around. What I’m really excited about though is Christmas, which begins at the Disneyland Resort on November 8. What’s your favorite merchandise item at the Resort right now?
