Sunday morning’s Parks and Resorts presentation included a sneak peek at the new Marvel-themed Avengers Campuses coming to Disney California Adventure and Walt Disney Studios Paris.
Chapek introduced Imagineer Scot Drake who is heading the Marvel projects for Disney Parks.
Drake explained that the two Avengers Campuses in California and Paris come after the HYDRA attack on Stark Expo in Hong Kong Disneyland’s Tomorrowland. The Campuses were established due to a need for more super heroes, and guests will be invited on various adventures to train with and go on missions alongside the Avengers.
The new Avengers Campus coming to Disney California Adventure
Spider-Man will take up residence in W.E.B., where he’s experimenting on new technology for the new heroes the Avengers are recruiting. Guests will join Spidey on an adventure to help contain Spiderbots, his latest experiment gone wrong.
Looks like a portion of the ride will go outdoors.
Another version of the above art showed the Guardians of the Galaxy tower outside.

Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus will also feature the PYM Test Kitchen, a restaurant by Ant-Man and the Wasp. Expect food to come in unexpected sizes here.
Doctor Strange will also welcome guests to an interactive experience set within the ruins of an old California sanctum
The biggest news, however, was that California’s Avengers Campus won’t have just two rides. When it opens next year, the land will feature the new Spider-Man attraction and the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT! ride. But Disney isn’t stopping there — a third ride is on its way in phase 2 of this project. Guests will go on a mission to Wakanda to meet the Black Panther before things go horribly wrong on their journey…
Once built, the new E-Ticket will change the skyline of the above art.
Riders will board a Quinjet to go on this new adventure.
In addition to the Avengers Campus in Paris, the Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel will feature more than 300 pieces of curated art.
That’s the news for Marvel in the parks, stay tuned to MiceChat for more news from D23 Expo!
