Moana Merchandise at Disney Parks

At Disneyland, there are plenty of items for everyone’s favorite wayfinder. For those who love ear headbands, there is a traditional style, pictured on the right in the first photo, as well as some DIY headplushes, like Kakamora on the left, to design your own look. And new apparel has also joined the lineup.

ALOHA Collection

The Moana x ALOHA Collection collaboration launched in mid-June, and its bags and accessories have created quite a buzz. The collection includes various styles of tote and crossbody bags, plus other travel items, decorated in prints inspired by Moana’s islander lifestyle or tropical flowers.

This collection is available for purchase through Aloha-Collection.com or at the following locations:

  • ALOHA Collection’s Disney Springs store at The Landing
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World
  • Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa
  • ALOHA Collection retail stores in Newport Beach, Malibu, Encinitas, Whalers Village, Ala Moana, and Waikiki

HEYDUDE

Now, here is some footwear fit for a princess – oops, I mean daughter of the chief. HEYDUDE blends nods to Moana’s story and personality with their Wendy Espadrille, a lightweight women’s shoe. The textile upper features a Polynesian-inspired print, with nautical rope laces, accented with a collectible beaded shell charm. A Moana wave graphic also decorates the cork footbed. My favorite part, however, is the colorful floral appliqué on the heel.

The Moana x HEYDUDE Wendy Espadrille ($74.99) is available now from HEYDUDE.com.

Pandora

Pandora’s Moana collection has enough shiny, glittery goodness to make even Tamatoa swoon. It includes rings and two styles of charms, standard and dangle. Whether you prefer a more colorful look or something simpler, there is a piece in this collection to match your style.

This collection is available now at us.pandora.net.

Moana Toys

What’s a Disney movie without toys? Here are some playthings that tie into Moana.

Disney Store

Originally from Disney Store Japan, the Urupocha-Chan line is among the many international plushes that are making their way Stateside. The series is known for its simplified, palm-sized design, which you can see in Urupocha-Chan Moana plushes. The series includes Moana, Maui, Pua, HeiHei, Te Fiti, Tamatoa, Te Fiti, and a Kakamora. They are available for purchase on DisneyStore.com, starting on July 10.

LEGO

LEGO has two new Moana sets out. The first is Pua ($69.99), Moana’s adorable pet pig. This set contains 885 pieces and is intended for builders ages 9 and up. Once completed, the set will make a figure of Pua, a small hermit crab companion, a raft, and some tropical foliage. Pua can wear the branch or flower atip his head, as well as turn and tilt his head and move his ears.

The second is the Kakamora ($39.99), which actually includes the material for two characters in its set. It contains 407 pieces and is intended for builders ages 9 and up. Both have movable arms, and each can hold one of the buildable accessories: a spear and a flower. The headdresses can be swapped as well.

Both of these sets are available now on LEGO.com.

Mattel

Mattel’s doll collection includes several versions of Moana alongside a Maui doll, inspired by the live-action adaptation.

Disney and Mattel are clearly leaning into the film’s more grounded Polynesian styling here. The standard Moana Fashion Doll trades the animated look for a costume inspired by village attire from the new movie, complete with island-themed accessories, including anklets, a flower hair clip, and her signature necklace.

Maui also gets the live-action treatment, featuring a removable skirt, shark-tooth necklace, bracelets, and, of course, the oversized magical fishhook. Fortunately, they resisted the urge to make him look too much like a plastic version of Dwayne Johnson… though the resemblance is definitely there.

There’s also a singing Moana doll that plays a 30-second clip of “How Far I’ll Go” at the press of a button, because no Moana toy line would be complete without at least one battery-powered emotional anthem.

The standout of the bunch is probably the Moana Collector Doll, which takes inspiration from her ceremonial role as taupou. It’s a much more detailed display piece, featuring a dramatic feathered headdress, woven fabrics, tassels, grassy fringe, and even “sand-dusted” feet from Motunui.

These dolls are available now at major retailers.

More on Moana

The live-action Moana has been one of Disney’s more closely watched remakes, partly because the original animated film is still hugely popular and partly because Disney seems determined to remake every popular animated film into a live-action version. The film stars newcomer Catherine Lagaʻaia as Moana, alongside Johnson returning as Maui.
