Disneyland Halloween Time 2026 Guide: Madame Leota’s Street Party, Oogie Boogie Bash & 150 Treats

Halloween Time returns to the Disneyland Resort, bringing seasonal décor, entertainment—including “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” at California Adventure, the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular at Disneyland—and themed attraction overlays, including Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, and Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring an all-new gingerbread house in the ballroom.

We’ve got all the spooky news, including a new spectral street party during Oogie Boogie Bash… replacing the popular Frightfully Fun Parade. And Halloween merchandise… YES… it might be frightening to hear that Halloween merch is ALREADY on shelves at the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland’s Halloween Time kicks off on August 21 and runs through October 31, 2026 (with Plaza de la Familia continuing through November 2).

New! Halloween Time Eats & Treats

The menu for Halloween Time 2026 is literally a monster, with more than 150 items available across both parks, all three hotels, and the Downtown Disney District.

There are also eight seasonal popcorn buckets and sippers, including a Headless Horseman bucket that’s trapped behind the Oogie Boogie Bash paywall, so if this is a must-have for you, party tickets are still available.

Disneyland Halloween Foodie Guide – 150 Bites, 8 Buckets, and One Very Exclusive Headless Horseman

New For 2026

As always, Mickey, Minnie, and their pals will debut new Halloween-themed looks for the spooky season, this year featuring a harlequin motif.

Also new this year are additions to the Main Street Pumpkin Festival, including depictions of Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon.

Attraction Overlays

The residents of Cars Land go all out for “Haul-O-Ween,” with characters in seasonal attire and creative Cars-themed Halloween decorations.

The land’s family-friendly attractions also get a Halloween Time makeover as Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters become Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark

Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark takes over Mission: BREAKOUT! in the afternoons and into the nighttime hours.

Haunted Mansion Holiday

Haunted Mansion closed on August 8 for the changeover, and reopens today as Haunted Mansion Holiday, the Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay that Jack Skellington has been squatting in every fall since 2001. It stays that way well past Halloween, running through early January, so there is no rush if the standby line looks grim this week.

The centerpiece, as always, is the gingerbread house in the ballroom. It stands 13 feet tall, is genuinely made of gingerbread (you can smell it from the doombuggy), and changes completely every year. Recent editions have given us a guillotine, a mausoleum, a Frankenstein laboratory, and last season’s raven with glowing red eyes. This year’s design is inspired by a music box with a ghostly dancer. Periodically, the roof of the gingerbread mansion pops open and a dancer is seen spinning until the lid closes.

Worth knowing before you go: this is one of the most reliably packed attractions of the season, and waits tend to climb through the afternoon and peak after dark. 

Halloween Screams

Halloween Screams takes over the Disneyland sky on select nights from August 21 through October 31, 2026, with Jack Skellington narrating while the villains take their turn on Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The catch, and it catches a lot of people, is that fireworks only happen on some of those nights. On the rest, the show runs as projections and music without the pyro. The Disneyland app labels the difference, listing the pyro nights as “Halloween Screams with Fireworks,” so check the entertainment schedule for the night you’re visiting before you stake out a curb on Main Street. Projection viewing is best from the hub, Main Street, or the “it’s a small world” mall, and the small world side gets the least crowded.

Plaza de la Familia

Plaza de la Familia, inspired by “Coco,” honors the spirit of Día de los Muertos with lively entertainment and interactive experiences, including “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco” as storytellers perform favorite songs from the Pixar movie.

The musical Coco-themed show features “musical moments” from the film like “Remember Me,” “The World Es Mi Familia,” “La Llorona,” and more.

Guests can take pictures with Miguel in front of the “Recuérdame” (“Remember Me”) mural.

Mickey’s Trick and Treat Show

Mickey’s Trick and Treat live stage show is available to regular guests (temporarily replacing “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” in California Adventure). Kids will particularly enjoy the chance to sing and dance along with Mickey and Minnie.

Glowed Away For The Season

The “Paint the Night” parade and “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular got a small stay of execution this month, running through Aug. 20 instead of their original August 9 end date. As of last night, both have glowed away to make room for the Halloween season. If you were counting on catching either one on this trip, that ship has sailed, and Halloween Screams now owns the Disneyland night.

World of Color – ONE is the survivor. It returned on Aug. 10 and sticks around through the Halloween season, so Paradise Bay still has something for you after dark.

$104 Tickets During Halloween Time

There are ten dates in September when you can take advantage of 1-Day, 1-Park tickets for only $104 per adult:

Oogie Boogie Bash

Oogie Boogie Bash will run on 33 select nights from Aug. 18 through Oct. 31, 2026.

The limited-capacity, after-hours event includes the Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, treat trails lined with new and returning villains, and of course, trick-or-treating in costume. A party plus is that your ticket includes admission to DCA three hours before the starting time, and Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads are included in the ticket price.

New for 2026, “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party” will feature ghoulishly good times inspired by the beloved Haunted Mansion attraction. The new street party will feature a spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts and ghostly dancing. But the new “Street Party” comes at the cost of the previous Frightfully Fun Parade, which will go into mothballs due to construction on the new Coco attraction, which blocks the west side of the parade route. We hope there’s a way for the parade to return in the future.

In addition to Leota’s street party, Ichabod Crane will hurry through California Adventure at select times throughout the evening in an attempt to evade the Headless Horseman.

The event runs from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM (with early admission to DCA at 3:00 PM) and tickets are now on sale.

September 27 will be a special Oogie Boogie Bash evening, reserved for D23 Members.

Oogie Boogie Bash Treat Trails

Themed treat trails will be hosted by some of Disney’s most beloved villains, including Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove, who will be making her Oogie Boogie debut this year.

Returning treat trail hosts include:

• Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco

• Agatha Harkness from Agatha All Along

• Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas & Ferb

• Hades from Hercules

• Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit

• Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty

Character Dining

Good news for anyone who has been waiting on this one: bookings are open now, and all three experiences start today.

Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian hosts Mickey’s Autumn Adventures (breakfast and brunch, August 21 through November 15, so it outlasts Halloween by a good two weeks) and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner (August 21 through October 31). Costumes are encouraged at dinner.

At The Disneyland Hotel, Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween runs August 21 through October 31, with new costumes for the gang (Goofy has gone full Frankenstein’s monster, Minnie is a witch, and Chip ‘n’ Dale are inexplicably superheroes). And Broken Spell Lounge will be pouring a Halloween-themed cocktail menu.

Book through the Disneyland app or Disneyland.com. Reservations are strongly recommended for all three, particularly for weekend dinners and for anything in October, though same-day tables do surface if you keep refreshing.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit

Don’t miss the chance to search for special themed pumpkins throughout Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney with Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit.

All you have to do is purchase a map from select retail locations, and then when you’re done, you can redeem it for a keepsake prize.
