Mickey Mouse and his friends raced over to Las Vegas last weekend to help launch the 2025 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. The event kicked off Disney and Formula 1’s “Fuel the Magic” collaboration, which will continue into the 2026 and 2027 Formula 1 racing sessions. We’ll look back at highlights of the festivities and share how you can pick up some commemorative merchandise!
The Las Vegas Grand Prix is held along the famous Las Vegas Strip, and fittingly, the nearby Las Vegas Sphere was lit up for the occasion with Mickey Mouse art from Disney and Formula 1’s collaboration.

Of course, Mickey Mouse and his pals were on hand to greet adoring fans, dressed in special outfits.
Mickey and Minnie even had extra checkered flag-themed attire on hand.
And two surprises took place that are likely to draw the envy of Disney Parks fans.
The first was the addition of the Disneyland Band, who joined musician Adrian Lyle in the national anthem to start off the first day of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Of course, Mickey and Minnie were there to join their friends for a photo or two.
The second surprise was a stroke of pure genius. In the style of the beloved Fantasmic show from Disneyland and Disney Hollywood Studios, Mickey Mouse “directed” the lights and water spouts from the Fountains of Bellagio, in front of the Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel, accompanied by musical scores from “Disney’s Fantasia” and the Formula 1 theme song.

And like any good Disney event, this collaboration with Formula 1 has its own merchandise and even a themed gift shop! It’s located at F1 Las Vegas Hub at the Venetian Resort.
