Welcome to Celestial Park, the luminous center of Universal Epic Universe. More than just a hub, this sprawling land is a whimsical launchpad to the stars—where kinetic energy flows through artful fountains, stargazing meets steampunk, and day turns to night in a dazzling spectrum of light. It’s here that guests first enter the park, but instead of rushing to the portals beyond, many linger to explore the land’s unique blend of lush gardens, interactive elements, and celestial charm.

With major attractions like Stardust Racers looping overhead, the splashy Astronomica, and direct access to otherworldly realms like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Celestial Park isn’t just your gateway—it’s a destination in its own right. Universal says this land puts the “park” back in “theme park,” and once you’ve strolled the shaded paths or watched the dancing fountains under a twilight sky, you’ll see exactly what they mean.

In this guide, we’ll take you through everything Celestial Park has to offer—including its rides, restaurants, shops, entertainment, and hidden design details that make it the perfect launch point for your journey through the universe.
Let’s walk through your first portal, the Chronos, and enter Celestial Park…

What Is Celestial Park?
Unlike the heavily themed lands surrounding it, Celestial Park isn’t based on a single IP or franchise. Instead, it’s Universal’s love letter to the idea of exploration itself—a vibrant fusion of science, fantasy, and nature. This is where the adventure begins: a lush, walkable landscape filled with kinetic sculptures, stargazing gardens, and shimmering pools that invite guests to slow down, look around, and take in the view.

More than just a central hub, Celestial Park is a living, breathing environment designed to bring the park back to the theme park. It’s an open, organic space that doesn’t rush you from one ride to the next but encourages wandering, lounging, and discovering the unexpected—like a musical fountain show, a futuristic fish tank, or a dragon statue that suddenly comes to life.
It also serves a practical purpose: all four of Epic Universe’s themed worlds—Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk—branch off from Celestial Park, making it the connective tissue of the entire resort.
Celestial Park Attractions
Don’t be fooled by the tranquil fountains and garden paths—Celestial Park packs serious thrills. The land is home to two major attractions, plus a number of kinetic, interactive, and atmospheric features that give the park its pulse.
Stardust Racers

Celestial Park’s flagship coaster is a high-speed, dual-launch racing coaster that threads through the skies above the park. Built by Mack Rides, Starfall Racers features two intertwined tracks and reaches speeds of up to 62 mph with a 133-foot top hat element and moments of zero gravity.
This Mack Rides creation features the signature “Celestial Spin”—an inverted crisscross maneuver that delivers an adrenaline-pumping experience. Riders board comet-inspired vehicles named Pulsar and Photon and blast off on a chase across the stars, complete with synchronized launches, near-misses, and jaw-dropping views of the entire park.
Easter Egg Alert: at the back of each Stardust Racers train is a flux capacitor, Doc Brown’s time travel invention from Universal’s “Back to the Future” movies.

This is no basic thrill ride—it’s a spectacle in motion, with nighttime lighting and synchronized effects that make it a showpiece both on and off the track.
Constellation Carousel
At the center of Celestial Park is a gleaming, Art Deco-inspired carousel unlike anything you’ve seen before. Instead of horses, guests ride a menagerie of cosmic creatures, including lions, dragons, and peacocks, each rotating 360 degrees and gently lifting riders up to six feet in the air. The experience feels more like floating through space than spinning in a circle.

The attraction is accessible to guests of all physical abilities (some of the vehicles even accommodate a wheelchair), elegant, and absolutely photogenic. The kind of attraction that delights kids, wows design nerds, and relaxes overstimulated kids and adults.

Other Experiences
Peaceful gardens and pathways offer plenty of space for lounging, people-watching, and recharging (yourself and your devices). Celestial Park is as much a place to relax as it is to explore. While you are in the area, don’t miss:
- Cosmos Fountain Show: An approximately 18-minute nighttime spectacle featuring fountains that dance to music and lights, with water jets reaching heights up to 135 feet. The show includes scores from Universal properties like Super Mario, Harry Potter, and How to Train Your Dragon. But you’ll find the fountains going all day. Grab a snack, settle down fountain-side, and enjoy a relaxing escape.

TIP: An amphitheater is built around the round lagoon closest to the Helios Hotel. But seating is very limited. Our suggestion is to arrive early and pick a spot with the hotel as your backdrop (but if you’re in the front row, you could get splashed).

- Astronomica – Cool off at Astronomica, an interactive water-play area designed as a giant compass rose that points toward the portals surrounding Celestial Park. This splash pad invites guests to engage with playful fountains that dance and swirl, offering a refreshing respite amid the park’s excitement. At night, the area transforms with lighting effects that add a magical touch to the experience.
- Hemisphere Stage – Discover live entertainment at the Hemisphere Stage, where a variety of musical performers re-imagine well-known songs with unique flair. This open-air venue provides a dynamic atmosphere, inviting guests to relax and enjoy the rhythms of Celestial Park.
- Celestian Characters – Keep an eye out for the enigmatic Celestians, mysterious beings who roam the park, bringing the celestial theme to life. These characters interact with guests and share the story of Celestial Park, adding an element of surprise and wonder to your visit. Professor Comet – An eccentric scientist and celestial cartographer, often spotted near the fountain plaza offering guests stargazing tips or philosophizing about the multiverse.

Some of the character entertainment in Celestial Park is still in flux. Shows tested during early previews have been canceled or are being reworked. But you might just meet Luna and Sol – A pair of cosmic twins who embody day and night. The Starcatchers – A troupe of intergalactic explorers and storytellers who roam the park sharing tales of the other worlds in Epic Universe, and even dropping hints about the portals to come, and sharing Easter eggs hidden in the park. If you see a character and want to know more about the stories of the park, be sure to ask. You might be delighted by what you learn.

Celestial Park Dining
Celestial Park doesn’t just feed your imagination—it satisfies your appetite, too. Dining here is a cosmic journey, with options that range from full-service elegance to grab-and-go galactic bites. Whether you’re looking for a quiet sit-down meal or something quick between portal-hopping, this park hub has you covered. While the restaurants in more popular worlds may be packed, we found dining in Celestial Park to be the best mix of quality and ease of finding a table (your mileage may vary).
Atlantic
Designed as a Victorian aquarium, this upscale, full-service restaurant sits inside a gleaming glass dome surrounded by water. Inside, guests dine beneath a shimmering sea of chandeliers and cosmic murals. The menu features coastal cuisine—think fresh seafood, fine steaks, and stellar cocktails—with a view that makes you feel like you’re floating through the stars.

The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant
Tucked into the Helios Grand Hotel, this lavish eatery offers bold, flavorful dishes inspired by Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cuisine. Rich blues, golden dragon motifs, and dramatic neon lighting complete the atmosphere. It’s a striking spot for those seeking a more adventurous palate.

Pizza Moon
Step into the whimsical world of Pizza Moon, where an early 1900s Victorian theater has been transformed into a celestial pizzeria. This quick-service spot offers a unique ambiance with its theatrical decor and a menu that’s truly out of this world. Guests can indulge in a variety of inventive pizzas, such as the plant-based Harvest Moon Pizza, the BBQ chicken-topped Space Cowboy, and the spicy A Trip to Vesuvio. Each pizza is oven-fired in the beautiful open kitchen.

The Oak & Star Tavern
This modern barbecue restaurant blends earthy design with celestial flair. Expect a rotating menu of hearty fare—burgers, wings, and craft beer—served in a space where starlight meets rustic comfort.

Meteor Astropub
This quick-service spot features retro-futuristic vibes, neon accents, and an orbit of classic comfort foods. Think loaded fries, burgers, and over-the-top milkshakes served in souvenir cups that look like they were plucked from a 1950s sci-fi film.

CelesTiki
For those seeking a refreshing escape, CelesTiki offers a tiki bar experience with a cosmic twist. Located just steps away from the carousel, this bar serves a variety of tropical-inspired drinks amidst glowing tiki faces and an unforgettable atmosphere. Signature cocktails include the Waturi Punch, a nod to Volcano Bay, and the Caribbean Spice Colada. Non-alcoholic options like Papa Rangi’s Elixir and Kunuku Daiquiri ensure that everyone can enjoy a taste of the celestial tropics.
Carts and Stands
You’ll find a variety of foods from smaller stalls and carts around Celestial Park, including two Starbucks locations, ice cream, gourmet hot dogs, pastries, pretzels, churros, and more.
Shopping in Celestial Park
Celestial Park offers a diverse array of shopping destinations, each providing unique merchandise and souvenirs to commemorate your visit. It’s also the easiest way to pick up a souvenir at the end of a busy day. You’ll find the biggest shops near the Chronos portal at the exit of the park. We recommend making a stop at Other Worlds Mercantile for a selection of merchandise from all of Epic’s worlds:

Situated near the park’s main entrance and adjacent to Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets, this expansive marketplace is a treasure trove of collectibles and gifts from across Epic Universe. It’s the ideal spot to find apparel, toys, and keepsakes representing each of the park’s themed worlds.

Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets

Sensorium Emporium
Curated by the legendary explorer Vincent Various, this eclectic shop offers a selection of unique merchandise and souvenirs. It’s a haven for those seeking distinctive finds that capture the essence of Celestial Park’s imaginative spirit.

North Star Wintry Wonders
Connected to the Sensorium, North Star brings you the magic of the holidays year-round. This charming shop offers a selection of festive gifts, ornaments, and seasonal décor. Be sure to check out the fun visual displays as well.

Nintendo Super Star Store
Located at the exit to Super Nintendo World, this is a must-visit shop for gaming enthusiasts. This store features an extensive collection of Nintendo-themed merchandise, including apparel, toys, and collectibles inspired by beloved characters and games.

It also holds clues to what is very likely a future expansion to the park. The Legend of Zelda is included in the design of the store and even has a section of merchandise.

Celestial Park isn’t just the center of Universal’s Epic Universe—it’s the soul of the entire experience. With breathtaking visuals, lush landscapes, inventive attractions, and thoughtful storytelling, it redefines what a theme park’s central hub can be. Universal Creative wasn’t exaggerating when they said this park puts the “park” back in “theme park.” It’s not just a gateway to adventure—it’s a destination in its own right. We can’t wait to see what this area looks like in a year or two when the trees have had a chance to grow in and cast more (much-needed) shade.
