Disney has teamed up with Bath & Body Works to bring a touch of royal treatment to your daily routine with the new Disney Princess Collection. This 85-piece assortment features fragrances and products inspired by Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Moana, and Tiana. We take a closer look (and a deep inhale) at the scents and the products they’re featured in. Here’s what you need to know, including when and where to find them!
Meet the Fragrances
Each of the six heroines chosen for Bath & Body Works’ Disney Princesses Collection is represented by a signature scent that thoughtfully blends in nods to their personalities and stories. You’ll find these fragrances in products such as fine fragrance mist, body wash, body lotion, lip gloss, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and candles, along with themed decorative accessories. The items in this collection range in price from $1.95 to $99.95.

Ariel
Ariel was the Little Mermaid who dreamed of exploring the world beyond the ocean floor. Her beach-inspired fragrance, with notes of “sea salt breeze, golden citrus, and coral waters,” combines influences from both land and sea for a refreshing, clean scent.

Belle
Belle courageously sacrificed her quiet village life, agreeing to reside in the Beast’s castle to save her father’s life. The notes of “rose petals, sparkling buttercup, and whipped vanilla” found in her fragrance provide nods to the cursed rose, her buttercup yellow ballgown, and the sweet scent of the Grey Stuff (which I hear is delicious).

Cinderella
Compassionate Cinderella’s kind and enduring heart guided her to her Fairy Godmother, who helped her achieve her dreams. The notes of “gardenia petals, musk, and sapphire blue amber” found in her fragrance transport you to her carriage ride to the ball. The woodsy, earthy scent of the musk combines with the lightly spicy amber to conjure up imagery of a carriage ride through the woods (and perhaps the pumpkin carriage itself). Meanwhile, the gardenia adds an air of elegance and femininity.

Jasmine
Princess Jasmine of Agrabah fought to choose her own fate and marry for love, defying societal expectations imposed on her. This heroine’s signature fragrance has notes of “jasmine flowers, jeweled currants, and softwoods.” The inclusion of jasmine flowers is not just because of her name; that flower holds special, treasured meanings in many Middle Eastern cultures. The currants and softwoods could be seen as nods to the Silk Road that ran through the Middle East (the setting for the fictional kingdom of Agrabah), where these commodities were traded.

Moana
As the adventurous chieftain’s daughter of the island of Motunui, Moana walked to the beat of her own drum and bravely embarked on a harrowing journey to save everything she holds dear. The notes of “green palms, plumeria breeze, and coconut water” found in her fragrance could be seen as references to her tropical homeland and her family’s way of life (consider the coconut!).

Tiana
Tiana worked hard every day to achieve her dream. Even when her life took an unexpected (and amphibious) turn, she held onto her strong sense of conviction and determination. The notes of “water lily, gilded amber, and bayou woods” from her fragrance harken back to her adventures as a frog. The water lily is doubly-significant because the flower is also the inspiration for her gown.

For the Princess in All of Us
Bath & Body Works conjured up another Disney Princess scent, too! “Life’s a Fairytale” honors all of the Disney Princesses. It features notes of “lotus petals, peach, and white Cedarwood.” Its lightly sweet scent was my personal favorite among the fragrances from this collection.
