Oh, Boysenberry! Knott’s Boysenberry Festival Food & Fun Revealed

The annual Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival will not only feature one-of-a-kind boysenberry food and drink creations and family-friendly entertainment and activities but also the unveiling of the Knott’s Hotel multi-million-dollar transformation.

The 2024 festival – daily from March 8 through April 7, plus weekends until April 28, 2024 – will offer more than 75 recipes with a combination of returning fan favorites and more than two dozen all-new items, including chicken tikka marsala with boysenberry curry sauce, pork loin slices over mashed potatoes with a creamy boysenberry mustard sauce, boysenberry and chocolate stuffed cookie, lemon bar with a boysenberry compote, and boysenberry brownie parfait.

The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival tasting card ($55) includes six credits to use for the extensive list of Boysenberry items exclusively available to guests with a tasting card. Tasting cards are available at Knotts.com http://knotts.com/ or at the park.

Knott’s Boysenberry Festival also features entertainment throughout the park, including:

Knott’s Preserved – This show celebrates the heritage of California’s original theme park with a musical journey from the little ghost town of Calico to the Seaside Boardwalk of the Roaring ’20s.

Riverboat Revenge – Bid a boysenberry bon voyage at the legendary Bird Cage Theatre for a special presentation of the comedy melodrama.

Guests of all ages can also try their “berry best” in Boysenberry Fun and Games in Calico Park or head to Calico Mine Stage for the Boysenberry Pie Eating Contest – and those unfamiliar with “the berry that started it all” can stop by the History of the Boysenberry Museum in Town Hall. Calico will also be the spot to find the Boysenberry Festival Craft Fair, with over two dozen local craft vendors.

(Re-)Introducing The Knott’s Hotel

Knott’s Berry Farm will finally unveil the multi-million-dollar transformation (including a new name) of the 322-room Knott’s Hotel celebrating the legacy of founders Walter and Cordelia Knott and featuring a redesigned guest registration area and lobby, a new outdoor courtyard, an expanded gift shop, a new grab-and-go coffee bar called The Pantry, and redesigned guest rooms.

The hotel’s new full-service restaurant – Thirty Acres Kitchen – offers classic American dishes that honor the original 30-acre Knott’s farm (and, of course, Cordelia Knott’s cooking). The double-sided wrap-around bar extending into the lobby serves craft cocktails and small plates.

The restaurant will also feature special menu items to complement the park’s annual festivals and seasonal events.
