Disneyland’s Paradise Pier Hotel has officially completed its transformation into Pixar Place Hotel, a bright, character-filled space celebrating the worlds and artistry of Pixar Animation Studios. The reimagined hotel blends playful design with creative details from Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Up, and more—making it a colorful companion to Disney California Adventure across the street.

What to Know About Pixar Place Hotel
Pixar Place Hotel opened at the Disneyland Resort in early 2024, completing the long-awaited transformation of the former Paradise Pier Hotel. The redesign brings Pixar’s creative spirit to life through colorful artwork, playful details, and nods to favorite films throughout the property.
The centerpiece of the lobby is a massive Luxo Lamp and Pixar Ball sculpture, surrounded by vibrant character art and a floating mobile featuring Pixar favorites. Guests are often greeted by live entertainment, including Joe Gardner from Soul performing at the lobby piano several days a week—a small touch that gives the space a bit of heart and personality beyond its sleek design.

Pixar Place Hotel Theming
The reimagined Pixar Place Hotel leans heavily into the artistry behind Pixar’s storytelling. The once-generic hotel now bursts with color, featuring concept sketches, character models, and large-scale art pieces celebrating the studio’s film legacy.
In the lobby, the iconic Luxo Lamp shines over a bright yellow Pixar Ball, while a suspended mobile of beloved characters spins above—turning what was once a standard hotel entrance into a playful tribute to Pixar’s creativity. The space mixes bold modern design with a sense of fun that appeals equally to families and animation fans.
Pixar Place Dining
Pixar Place Hotel offers a variety of dining options, from a quick morning coffee to a full sit-down meal or poolside snacks between park hops.
The Sketch Pad Cafe
Located off the lobby, The Sketch Pad Café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a space that celebrates Pixar’s creative process. The walls are covered in early character sketches and concept art, giving guests a peek into how Pixar favorites evolved from rough drawings to the big screen.
Breakfast items include croissants, bagels, muffins, and breads from L.A.’s Röckenwagner Bakery, along with lighter fare like chia parfaits and overnight oats. Later in the day, guests can order frittatas, pizza bagels, sandwiches, or snack boxes to take on the go.
Great Maple
The hotel’s table-service restaurant, Great Maple, serves up elevated American comfort food in a bright, stylish space on the ground floor. Known for its indulgent chicken and donuts, the restaurant also offers craft cocktails and a hearty brunch menu that has become a guest favorite.
Small Bytes Poolside Snack Stand
For those enjoying the rooftop deck, Small Bytes serves light bites, sandwiches, salads, and a full range of beverages—including a few playful adult floats for grown-ups looking to cool off.

- Chips & Bits – Choose one of our homemade potato chips—classic, salt & vinegar or barbecue—and add one of your favorite dips. Or enjoy snacking on soft pretzels, hummus and veggies, ceviche or fruit wedges with a yogurt dip.
- Lyte Bytes – Savor a selection of meat and cheese with crackers and other nibbles, or dive into an Asian or BLAT salad—or a chia pudding with granola and berries.
- Mega Bytes – Craving something substantial? Try a burger with 2 all-beef patties or an impossible patty. Or go for a chicken breast sandwich, a vegan wrap, “full stack” nachos or chicken fingers.
- Little Nibblers – For an energy boost, select the grilled cheese & fruit stix, the pizza bagel or a plate of cheese, crackers and a fruit stix.
- Refreshments – Enjoy mini-floats, classic sodas and specially conceived sodas. For adults, there are full bar offerings of your choosing. Also, adults can delight in alcoholic floats—the Margarita Float, Mimosa Float and more—or create your own masterpiece!
Pixar Place Pools & Fitness
Pixar Place Hotel’s rooftop recreation area is one of its biggest draws, combining family-friendly fun with great Disneyland views.
Pixar Place Fitness Center
The Pixar Place Fitness Center features artwork of Mike and Sulley encouraging guests to “jog along” with them while staying on track during vacation. Modern equipment and bright, Pixar-inspired touches make it more fun than your average hotel gym.
Pixar Place Slides & Splash Pad
The rooftop deck includes a Crush-themed water slide inspired by the surfer sea turtle from Finding Nemo, along with a colorful splash pad for younger guests. The area’s playful design keeps the Pixar theme strong without feeling over-the-top.

Pixar Place Poolside Playcourt Area
Beyond the pools, guests can unwind around character-themed fire pits or enjoy the Pixar Short-themed playcourt, offering casual family games and plenty of lounge space for relaxation.

The main pool area offers traditional swimming and ample loungers for sunbathing, along with private cabanas available for rent.
Pixar Place Rooftop Fireworks Viewing
Come evening, the rooftop transforms into a quiet perch for Disneyland’s fireworks. Cozy seating, a fireplace, and tables make it an ideal spot to end the night above the park’s glow.
PIXAR PLACE HOTEL CONCIERGE LOUNGE
Guests staying in Concierge-level rooms gain access to the Creator’s Club, a stylish lounge that feels part museum, part retreat. The space offers comfortable seating, curated Pixar decor, and a rotating selection of food and beverages throughout the day — from continental breakfast and coffee service to evening wine, beer, and dessert offerings.
True to Pixar form, the lounge is filled with artifacts and props from Pixar attractions and films across Disney Parks worldwide. Among the highlights: a carousel animal from Jessie’s Critter Carousel, a lamp from the long-gone a bug’s land, and other nods to beloved Pixar worlds. It’s a quiet, detail-rich space that rewards anyone who takes time to look around.
The Creator’s Club is a treasure trove of artifacts from Pixar attractions and lands.

Standard rooms feature clean modern lines accented with Pixar flair, from character artwork above the beds to subtle nods in the furnishings. It’s a comfortable, family-friendly setup that feels fun without being overwhelming.
Pixar Place Hotel 2-Bedroom Suite
For larger groups, the hotel’s two-bedroom suites offer expanded living areas, dining space, and Pixar-inspired art throughout. Thoughtful touches and themed details make these suites feel more like a home base than a hotel room — with extra room to spread out after a day in the parks.
Signature Suites
Starting Nov. 8, 2025, reservations open for two new signature suites at Pixar Place Hotel, with stays beginning in December. Coco Suite
Inspired by the Rivera family home from Coco, this two-bedroom suite blends Oaxacan-style architecture with terracotta tile, hand-painted art, and artisan-made furniture. Family photos, woven textiles, and a cozy fireplace create the feeling of stepping into the film’s warm and colorful world.
Incredibles Suite
This mid-century “spy-fi” suite channels The Incredibles with bold retro design and playful gadgetry. Guests enter via a hand-scanning prop before discovering hidden doors, a “spy phone,” secret messages, and plenty of Edna Mode-approved flair—including her own adjoining room.

PIXAR PLACE HOTEL STORE
Just off the main lobby, the Stor-E shop (a clever nod to WALL·E) offers a mix of park merchandise, travel essentials, and Pixar-themed souvenirs unique to the hotel. The space is decorated with nods to Pixar’s storytelling legacy, featuring displays inspired by a range of films from Toy Story to Inside Out.
Guests will find art prints, apparel, and collectibles alongside more practical items, making it both a gift shop and a small gallery of Pixar design.
Pixar Place Hotel Pricing
Pixar Place Hotel remains the most affordable of Disneyland Resort’s three on-property hotels — though “affordable” is relative when it comes to Disney lodging. It sits below Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Disneyland Hotel in price, but well above nearby Good Neighbor options.
Note that Disney has removed two of the early perks of the Pixar Place hotel. early park entry and the dedicated entrance directly into Disney California Adventure were both removed in 2025.
