The mouse is rolling out a new wave of ticket and travel updates for Disneyland. While some changes are small and others large, they all move the resort slowly in a new direction. We’ll sort through the pixie dust and share what’s new…
Disneyland Resort Ticket Updates
180-Day Disneyland Reservation Window
Starting later this month, Disneyland ticketholders will be able to book reservations further in advance. You’ll soon be able to peek into the reservation calendar and secure your theme park slots for dates up to a whopping 180 days in advance (currently 120 days). This change should make it easier to plan vacations further in advance without the fear that you are booking hotels and air without knowing if you’ll be able to get into the parks.
Genie+ New Attraction Additions
Disneyland’s Genie+ service continues to evolve. Soon, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway (yep, the one that Disney has been charging extra for as an Individual Lightning Lane) and Ariel’s Undersea Adventure (which generally doesn’t have much of a wait and doesn’t need Lightning Lane) will be added to the Genie+ lineup.
While it might be nice to have Runaway Railway join the Genie roster, we are baffled why Little Mermaid needs a Lightning Lane!
PhotoPass Lenses
Disneyland is extending the time you can use PhotoPass Lenses. Genie+ purchasers will be able to continue using the lenses for up to 45 days after purchasing Genie+, even if they are at home.
Magic Key Extras Unlocked
“Magic Key Extras Unlocked” is coming soon. This new feature is being designed to make it easier to find all the perks of Magic Key ownership.
Note that new sales for all Magic Key pass types are paused at the moment. But Disney has confirmed that there will be more chances to purchase new Magic Key passes sprinkled throughout the year.
New Ticket Deal for Disneyland
Disneyland Resort: Kids Tickets As-Low-As $50
Starting October 24, 2023, save some big $$$ on tickets for kids. Disneyland is rolling out child’s tickets (ages 3-9) starting at just $50 per day. These tickets are up for grabs for 1, 2, or 3-Day Park adventures from January 8, 2024, through March 10, 2024.
