Unwrapping Disneyland’s 2023 Holiday Merchandise

Christmas has arrived at the Disneyland Resort! While garland is still going up in the parks and Downtown Disney, the merchandise has been rolling out in stores for weeks. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or just love winter, you’ll find something to add to your wish list among these items. We’ve found apparel, accessories, home goods, toys, and ornaments! Let’s check it out …

Disney Classics Christmas Collection

This collection contains items depicting our childhood friends from our favorite classic Disney films (and, of course, the Fab 5) celebrating the merriest season of the year.

Apparel

Mickey (or should I say “Santa Mickey?”) is hosting a Christmas party, and he’s invited some of our oldest childhood friends! Alice, the Cheshire Cat, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Bambi, and Thumper join members of the Fab 5 as they celebrate holidays in style on the front and back of this pine-tree green Spirit Jersey. And since this is the Disneyland version of this Spirit Jersey (as opposed to one from Walt Disney World), you’ll find “Disneyland Resort” written along the back, but this time, it is decorated with strings of colorful Christmas lights.

If all-over prints are your cup of tea, this Spirit Jersey still has the same Disneyland markings as the character-filled style. However, the print on the garment displays snowy scenes of Mickey and his pals sharing in some holiday cheer by the Christmas tree.

And the fanciest Spirit Jersey of them all is this cranberry-hued knitted style. With cables running down the torso and embroidered lettering on the front and back, this one is extra-cozy and still maintains that Spirit Jersey look.

Cosplay as a candy cane with these peppermint-striped sweaters (don’t worry; they are unscented) with either Mickey or Minnie on the front.

This crewneck sweatshirt uses a glittery green fabric and features appliqués of Mickey and Minnie joined by a pile of presents with the Disneyland Resort logo hovering below.

Another cool weatherwear option is this pullover hoodie with a kangaroo pocket.

And for warmer conditions, there is this jolly green T-shirt.

It is raining presents on this T-shirt!

Minnie and Daisy are helping Santa check his list twice on this woman’s shirt.

Stitch zooms through a winter evening on this kid’s sweater.

There are also several kid’s sleep sets and baby’s onesies.

Accessories

Loungefly gives Ear Headband collectors the gift of a new wreath-inspired Ear Headband to look forward to. Glow-in-the-dark lights surround the wreaths that serve as the headband’s ears, with Mickey and Minnie dressed in their holiday best, peeking out from the centers. And to top it all off, a red plush satin bow sits at the band’s center.

Get ready to deck the halls (and your head) with this light-up (a USB charge cable is included) Ear Headband adorned with characters and character-inspired ornaments.

It doesn’t get more “Christmas-y” than a good ol’ Santa Hat. This one, in particular, is fastened atop an Ear Headband in lieu of a bow, making it a versatile festive accessory.

For those who would prefer to celebrate the season rather than a specific holiday, I would suggest this Mickey Snowman-topped Ear Headband. Both frozen fellows are made from a fluffy fabric (so is the exterior of the headband!) and decked out in colored scarves, complimented by an embroidered face, topped off with a Santa hat.

The Loungefly mini backpack for this collection not only expands on the image seen on the Spirit Jersey (and adds some glow-in-the-dark accents!) but is also designed to hold the wreath-style Ear Headband using a dedicated front compartment.

And if you are looking for a higher-end accessory, any of these items from Dooney & Bourke should work quite nicely.

 

These colorfully festive Crocs have large presents and Hidden Mickey holly as charms, adding to the already eye-catching design.

But for those quiet nights at home, I would suggest these fuzzy slippers.

Toys

And for all of us plush toy enthusiasts, we have stuffed versions of Mickey, Minnie, Chip’ n Dale, and Stitch, all dressed for a festive holiday get-together.

Every year, Disney releases a special train set for the holidays. The highlight of this year’s model is the car full of the gang singing carols.

Home Goods

These felt stockings are topped with a furry “cuff” and decorated with an appliqué of either Mickey or Minnie in the cartoon style found in other items from the Disney Classics Christmas Collection. It is so sweet that it appears as though Mickey and Minnie are glancing over at each other from across the stockings.

There is also a themed stocking for a baby’s first Christmas.

It is hard to feel anything but merry when you are cozied up with all your Disney friends. This reversible 60-inch long and 50-inch wide fleece blanket depicts colorful characters on one side with an extra-fuzzy ornament pattern on the other.

Is it a Hidden Mickey? Is it an ornament? Or maybe a pillow? Somehow, this Mickey Mouse Holiday Ornament Throw Pillow manages to be all three! Measuring 14 inches high, 17 inches wide, and 10 inches deep, this mouse-eared, velour-covered pillow is an easy way to add some holiday decor to your living room couch.

Cover your Christmas tree with holiday magic from the ground and up with this candy-striped tree skirt and snowflake-themed tree topper.

Disney Seasonal Homestead Collection

This collection includes decor with a more simplistic design, evoking the rustic feel of a log cabin in winter, and apparel and accessories with Mickey and his friends enjoying the season in the great outdoors.

Apparel

Outerwear for adults includes a three-quarter zip sweatshirt peppered with embroidered characters and a traditional crewneck sweatshirt with Goofy skiing on the front.

And for layering or milder weather, there is also a thermal turtleneck shirt and a double-sided graphic tee.

Once you come back out of the cold, you can lounge around in these jogger pants, which are decorated with a high-quality patch on the hip and a mountainscape along the lower legs.

Babies definitely have the cutest apparel in this collection, with two zip hoodies topped with mouse ears. The Minnie Mouse style also has a bow.

The hoodies made for kids are winners as well. One has Mickey and Goofy skiing down the sleeves and poor Donald struggling with his snow shoes on the chest. And the other one features Minnie ice-skating across the front, leaving a trail of glitter across the icy pond.

Accessories

This winter hat is styled like a hunter’s hat but insulated like a puffy ski jacket and has different characters on each panel.

This tote bag is made from the same material as the winter hat and has the same puffy quality. One side shows Minnie making a snow angel, and the other has Chip and Dale rolling a giant snowball.

The popular Crocs clogs have a Sherpa-lined winter style, and these particular ones have (non-removable) Jibbitz charms of Mickey and Minnie ice-skating.

Kids don’t get much from this collection in terms of accessories, just a Minnie Mouse bucket hat.

Home Goods

This collection’s plate set, bowl set, mugs, pitchers, and canisters are perfect for hosting a holiday get-together.

And for more overtly Christmas-y decor, it also includes a Hidden Mickey-shaped wreath and a tree skirt.

Hanukkah Collection

Mickey, Minnie, and their friends lend a hand as Disney honors the Jewish Festival of Lights with their most robust Hanukkah collection yet (you’ll find even more of it on shopDisney). 

Accessories

This Loungefly mini backpack is simply glowing with joy. Mickey and Minnie appear as though they are peering over a table to watch the candles of the menorah burn low. Much of the Star Wars items created for Disneyland’s 2023 holiday season are themed to a more light-hearted alternate universe where the Skywalker family shares Christmas together.

Apparel

Whether you prefer a short-sleeve shirt or a long-sleeve one, this collection will suit your needs.

And you can layer up your Star Wars love with this crewneck sweatshirt, decorated in cartoon-style panels. The matching Ear Headband has kiddie Luke on one ear talking to Papa Vade on the other.

And speaking of “ears,” this Santa cap lets you cosplay as Kris Kringle AND Yoda or Grogu, all at the same time.

Toys

This year’s holiday Droid Factory figure, R8-H23, is cosplaying as a gingerbread cookie outfitted with a Christmas wreath.

Home Goods

This Christmas stocking has the same “cartoon” found on the Ear Headband.
