Yesterday may have been Star Wars Day—May the Fourth—but today is the follow-up: Revenge of the Fifth! We’re celebrating Star Wars Month (May) with a collection of photos that showcase Star Wars at Disneyland. Let’s take that jump to lightspeed to a galaxy far, far away!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

If you’re looking for Star Wars immersion, that’s the whole point of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The land features authentic Star Wars props, including life-size ships and creatures. While there is still an incredible amount of untapped potential in the land, there are still many beautiful aspects that make you feel as if you are really on a desert planet.

Take a quick look at our latest Galaxy’s Edge video to really put yourself into the mood:

And now some favorite photos from the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Special detail was put into the marketplace that is inspired by real places here on Earth, including Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, Marrakesh’s Souk, and Jerusalem’s Old City Market.

If you’ve got a sharp eye and are savvy to the Star Wars franchise, you might have noticed the numbers on the cargo containers that sit next to the ship parked on Docking Bay 7.  Those numbers correlate with the years that the first three Star Wars films were released.

While Galaxy’s Edge doesn’t feature the bold colors found elsewhere in Disneyland, it certainly has an abundance of unique colors in the land’s flora. Right now, the Pink Trumpet Trees can be found in the Market Place area, just next to Docking Bay 7. It’s a nice reminder of the Disneyland that exists outside of Batuu, like the Partners statue in the Hub.

Droids have feelings too!

One of the ways that you can “live your adventure” in Galaxy’s Edge is to search for characters. There are a few relatively new character additions to the land, including Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and the dynamic duo The Mandalorian and Grogu. It’s sometimes difficult to get a good shot of the characters because of crowds that just don’t leave much room. But still, we try our best.

Fennec Shand is a newer character in the land as well.

Rey can often be found wandering around the land, avoiding the Imperial troops. She is often seen under the Millennium Falcon, giving words of inspiration to the younger rebels.

Kylo Ren can be found patrolling the land with Stormtroopers, in search of the rebels. He might just try to recruit you to join the Empire’s cause.

Galaxy’s Edge is a whole different experience at night. While the spires of the land during the day make a beautiful contrast to a partly cloudy blue sky, the lighting of the land after the sun goes down creates a whole different ambiance. You get that strong desert planet outpost feeling with the warm hues with the mysterious cliffs in the distance.

Star Wars in Tomorrowland

Star Wars Month celebrations aren’t just restricted to Galaxy’s Edge. While it may feel a little out of place, Tomorrowland offers some iconic Star Wars experiences. With Star Tours and Space Mountain’s limited-run Hyperspace Mountain overlay, Tomorrowland offers some of our favorite Star Wars things.

Star Tours

While Star Tours isn’t doing anything out of the ordinary for Star Wars Month, it remains a favorite Star Wars attraction (some would even say the best) to this day. It was recently announced that even more scenes are coming to the attraction… we can’t wait to see them!

Am I the only one who truly misses Rex as a pilot?

Hyperspace Mountain

Hyperspace Mountain is your chance to hurl through space, fighting with the rebels against the Galactic Empire! The classic Space Mountain attraction feels totally fresh with a simple Star Wars overlay. It’s amazing what a new soundtrack and some Star Wars visuals can do to liven up a ride on Space Mountain.

Star Wars Nite

One of the highlights of Star Wars Month are the special after-hours Star Wars Nite parties at Disneyland. The first two nites have kicked off, with two more set for next week. The highlights of the event include getting to see rare Star Wars characters and meet fellow Star Wars fans for the Lightsaber Meetup.

Star Wars Nite includes opportunities for several meet and greets with special characters, including Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.

This year, the lightsaber meet-up was more organized. In fact, it was actually scheduled this year, after last year’s unofficial meetup was a huge success.
