Visits to Disneyland have become even more expensive recently. But these changes didn’t just affect the cost of admission or Genie+, Disneyland has also seen merchandise price increases over the past few months. We have noted a difference in what some popular Disney Parks souvenirs previously cost versus their cost today. Here’s what we’ve found…
[Note: These price increases did not take effect simultaneously.]
Price Increases on Spirit Jerseys at Disneyland
Every style of Spirit Jersey sold at the Disneyland Resort has suffered a price increase, the most conspicuous of which is seen in the adult sizes. It is interesting to note that the tear-able price tag portion of the UPC label has already been removed for these items.
Spirit Jersey for Adults
Adult Spirit Jerseys, which had previously cost $69.99, now cost $79.99.
Spirit Jersey for Kids
While less prolific than its adult-sized counterpart, Spirit Jerseys for kids also increased in price from $49.99 to $54.99.
Spirit Jersey for Pets
Even the Spirit Jerseys for pets now cost more. They currently cost $39.99 instead of $36.99.
Price Increases on Parks-Exclusive Loungefly Mini Backpacks
Loungefly Mini Backpacks are incredibly popular amongst guests. Most of the designs sold at the Disneyland Resort are exclusive to Disney Parks (the bag’s Loungefy placard or patch will say “Disney Parks” on it). These accessories, which had previously cost $75, now cost $85.
Price Increases on Ear Headbands
So you’ve got a new Spirit Jersey and Loungefly Mini Backpack and want to top off your look with a fresh Ear Headband? Well, unfortunately, these little beauties have also gone up in price. They now cost $34.99 instead of $29.99.
Price Increases on Disneyland’s Trading Pins
Pin Traders will tell you that trading pin prices are typically arranged in a color-coded tier system.
Since 2018, the green and silver tiers have cost $9.99 each, followed by the blue and yellow, each cost $12.99, and the pink tier cost $14.99.
However, last week, Disney trading pins also fell victim to price increases. While green, blue, and pink prices remain unchanged, silver now costs $11.99, and yellow is now $14.99. Silver and yellow are generally used on open-edition pins.
Toys Experiencing Increases in Price
Some popular playthings also changed to a heftier price tag.
Big Feet Plush
The Big Feet plush line reimagines Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel characters into cutesy plushes with … big feet. And while they previously cost $26.99, these big feet now cost a bigger fee at $29.99.
Shoulder Plush
The shoulder plushes are a fun way to add some extra character to your Disneybound or to have a pal join you on your day in the Parks. Their original price of $19.99 has now risen to $22.99.
nuiMOs Plush
Disney’s most Istagrammable toys, the nuiMOs, were $17.99 when they were introduced in the US (they originated in Japan). Currently, the base cost has risen to $19.99, with some characters, like the Disney princesses, costing $21.99.
Classic Princess Doll
Using plastic-free packaging for their Classic Princess Doll line was an admirable move on Disney’s part. Making the toys more expensive, however, is less commendable. They had initially cost $24.99 and are now priced at $26.99.
Price Increases on Baseball Caps
Baseball caps, much like Ear Headbands, help you wear a little extra character to the top of your head. In addition to the extra character, unfortunately, an extra fee is attached. These were once $27.99 but are now $29.99.
Price Increases on Folding Fans
Something as simple as a folding fan now also costs more money. This handy device used to cost $9.99 but is now $12.99.
