As the leaves turn and autumn festivities begin, Disneyland unveils an annual ritual: a ticket price hike! This year, day tickets, Magic Keys, Genie+, and even parking fees face adjustments – largely heading north. Yet while many a Disney fan’s wallet might feel the pinch, we have a feeling that few will actually change their plans due to the pricing changes. We give you an opportunity to have your say in a poll and the comments section below.

Now hang on tight for the current Disneyland ticket price increases on nearly everything and the historical prices as well…

Disneyland One Day Ticket Prices and Magic Keys Go Up Again Like Clockwork

We can hardly be shocked by Disneyland ticket price increases. They go up EVERY year. In fact, they went up on the same day last year, October 11th. And while there is the occasional surprise, this year’s increases are a bit higher than last year’s average $5 uptick.

Disneyland Ticket Prices, Disneyland 2023/24 Tickets, Magic Keys, and Genie+ Prices Go Up Today!

Years ago, Disneyland switched from a single price for adult one-day tickets to pricing based on demand. At first, there were three tiers. Then there were 5. Then they had 6. And as of last year there were 7… though, the newest tier is confusingly called “Tier 0,” and shifts the previous Tier 1 down a level.

On the low end, Tier 0 tickets, remain $104. As it has been since 2019. 5 years of the same low price seems almost unheard of, especially since Disneyland expanded the number of days available at Tier 0. However, they make up for it on the other tiers (as you’ll see below).

Magic Key holders won’t see any changes to blockout dates on the various pass levels, or major new perks, but they will see increases of 3% to 20% on the various key levels (keep reading below).

Disneyland Oct 2023 Ticket Price Increase

Beginning today (October 11th, 2022), Disneyland tickets will cost the following. (As a reminder, we do not change prices once an article has run. Always use Disneyland’s app or website for current prices, terms, and conditions.):

One Day/One Park tickets will cost:

    • Tier 0 – $104 (this has been the low price since 2019)
    • Tier 1 – $119 (a $5/4.4% increase)
    • Tier 2 –  $134 (a $5/3.9% increase)
    • Tier 3 – $154 (a $10/6.9% increase)
    • Tier 4 – $169 (a $10/6.3% increase)
    • Tier 5 – $184 (a $15/8.9% increase)
    • Tier 6 – $194 (a $15/8.4% increase)

*Add park hopping for $65 (a $0 increase over last year)

Disneyland Multi-day tickets are also going up:

    • 2-Day / One Park Per Day – $310 ($25/8.8% increase, $155 per day)
    • 3 Day / One Park Per Day – $390 ($30/8.3% increase, $130 per day)
    • 4 Day / One Park Per Day – $445 ($50/12.7% increase, $111.25 per day)
    • 5 Day / One Park Per Day – $480 ($65/15.7% increase, $96 per day)

*Add Multi-day ticket Parkhopping (see below for a big change)

Disneyland Park Hopper Add-On:

Last year, you could add Park Hopping to all days for $60. Which became a better and better value the more days you purchase. However, Disneyland is now charging differently at each tier. From an 8.3% increase on 2-day tickets to a huge 25% more for a 5-day ticket.

    • 1-day Park Hopper – $65 (0% increase)
    • 2-day Park Hopper – $65 (8.3% increase, $32.5 per day)
    • 3-day Park Hopper – $70 ($16.7% increase, $23.33 per day)
    • 4-day Park Hopper – $70 ($16.7% increase, $17.5 per day)
    • 5-Day Park Hopper – $75 (25% increase, $15 per day)

Genie+ Price Increase

It’s not just tickets that have gone up… As of today, Genie+ is also going up in price, perhaps by a lot (but you won’t know until the day of your visit).

Disneyland Ticket Prices, Disneyland 2023/24 Tickets, Magic Keys, and Genie+ Prices Go Up Today!

Disneyland Genie+ pricing:

Are you a Genie+ fan? Users of Genie do enjoy shorter waits on average, but they have also sent lines snaking into pathways, and have swelled the waits for standby guests. The small price increase this year is likely to do anything to address the issues of over-subscription to the service.

  • Genie+ is now $30 per day if you purchase in advance of your visit (a $5/20% increase)
  • If you wait until the day of your visit, demand-based pricing kicks in. Day-of Genie+ tickets will start at $30 on the least in-demand days, but will go up on more popular days. Disney doesn’t say how high the maximum is.
  • Last year, Disneyland added WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure to the list of regular Genie+ attractions. This year, both Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Ariel’s Undersea Adventure (a ride that does not need Genie. At least we’ll be able to track the negative effects of Genie+ on regular guests). That will leave just one extra selection Lightning Lane ride in each park: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland and Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland Resort Parking Increase

All types of parking at the Disneyland Resort are going up:

    • General Parking – will go up $5 to $35 (a 16.7% increase)
    • Preferred Parking will go up $5 to $55 (a 10% increase)
    • Hotel Valet Parking will increase $5 to $70 (7.7% increase)
    • Hotel Guest Self Park will increase $5 to $40 (a 14.3% increase)
    • Non-Hotel Guest Self Park $40 for the firs hour + $10 for each additional hour (up to a max $80 – a 14.3% increase)

Historical Disneyland One-Day Ticket Prices

There are some trends here. We spent some time last night pulling together the Disneyland ticket prices since 2010.

Disneyland Ticket Prices, Disneyland 2023/24 Tickets, Magic Keys, and Genie+ Prices Go Up Today!

While the lowest price hasn’t budged much, prices have gone up by as much as 9% on some tiers. Tiers have allowed Disneyland to both raise prices AND keep them steady at the same time. If you average out all those tiers, it comes to about $150/day per ticket. So, in just 10 years, the cost of a ticket to Disneyland has approximately doubled. Consider it Funflation at a rate of approximately 9.75% per year for the last 10 years. The average rate of inflation in America during those 10 years was approximately 2.1% (but 8.7% last year as demand for goods and travel following lockdowns exceeded capacity across most industries). Disneyland has been at a rate higher than that for the last 10 years!

Magic Key Prices Surge, Benefits Stay Steady!

Disneyland’s Magic Key holders brace yourselves: the annual pass prices are on the rise. Here’s what you need to know

The biggest ticket increase this year is the huge $21.5% increase on the Enchant key. The middle two keys increase by $150 each and the most restrictive and least restrictive keys only go up $50.

Expect pass benefits to remain mostly the same as last year. All passes still require park reservations and have blockout dates.

    • Imagine  – $499 (a $50/3.1% increase)
    • Enchant – $849 (a $150/21.5% increase)
    • Believe – $1249 (a $150/13.6% increase)
    • Inspire – $1649 (a $50/3.1% increase)

While price increases haven’t resulted in new perks for Magic Keys, a new benefits portal called “Magic Key Extras Unlocked” is launching to make it easier for you to find current Magic Key benefits. For example, Magic Key holders will find a new holiday tote bag in November and a new limited-time refillable popcorn bucket in January. You’ll soon be able to find the new pass portal on Disneyland.com and the Disneyland app.

Let’s Hear From You

Disneyland has gotten pretty good at trying to take the sting of increase out of the average tourist’s mind. The Tier 0 one day ticket has been the same price for 5 years. And, a new $50 child ticket is set to run for a limited time early next year. Price increases are never fun. But did this one fall in line with what you were expecting? Please let us know how your travel plans will be impacted by the current ticket and Genie increases.

A Disneyland guest visiting the parks on a Tier 6 day this holiday season is going to have a pretty hefty bill to pay per person. A guest wanting park hopping, parking and genie+ in addition to their tier 6 ticket will pay $324 per person.

And remember, our Get Away Today travel partners still have Disneyland tickets at the old price for a few more days (HERE).  Even if you see this after October 20th, we always have discounted Disneyland tickets and offers. Don’t overpay.
