While Encanto won’t replace Tarzan’s Treehouse in Disneyland, families can still immerse themselves in the film’s colorful, magical world with a new adventure starting at CAMP stores tomorrow! Here’s a look at what to expect!
What is CAMP?
One might think of CAMP as a play area-shopping destination hybrid. The family-oriented store’s play areas have rotating themes (for example, a Mickey & Friends one is currently in the Dallas location). But these play areas are not simple; they feature interactive decor and activities based on the location’s current theme. However, you’ll need to purchase a ticket for a particular day and time slot to participate.
As for the “shopping destination” portion, CAMP stores also include a retail store with toys for all ages, including teens and adults.
Encanto x CAMP Experience
The Encanto x CAMP experience will start in CAMP’s flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York City and will move to other locations in the future.
Activities
Visitors (Campers?) can look forward to spending their hour-long play session in a 6000-foot space with play areas resembling places like Antonio’s tree house, Isabella’s floral room, the courtyard of the Madrigal’s beloved casita, and Bruno’s room. And they’ll even visit the never-before-seen rooms belonging to Luisa, Pepa, and Dolores! Guests will also hear the familiar voices of Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz), Abuela Alma (María Cecilia Botero), Bruno (John Leguizamo), and Antonio (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) at different points.
Besides exploring, CAMP counselors will lead singalongs of hits from the film like “Surface Pressure” and, of course, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” (good luck getting that out of your head afterward). And a family portrait that magically reveals everyone’s gifts is also included.
Encanto x CAMP Capsule Collection
Inspired by the immersive experience, a unique Encanto x CAMP capsule collection has launched today from CAMP’s online store and will also be sold at the 5th Avenue location tomorrow.
This merchandise collection includes items for all ages, some of which can be personalized with embellishments and embroidery. Here is a sampling of the collection:
