I hope you are ready for Halloween because it looks like the Disneyland Resort is already itching to start the seasonal merchandise mayhem. This Disneyland Merchandise Update will look at the first Halloween arrivals, new Ear Headband styles, plenty of fresh apparel, and fun playthings. Here we go…

The Start of Something Spooky

As was mentioned in last Monday’s Disneyland Update, a handful of Halloween merchandise has already cropped up at the Resort. These graphic tees were spotted at Emporium on Main Street, USA.

This Nightmare Before Christmas design was also among the selection, but it made its debut last year.

Grim, Grinning Goodies

Adding to the spooky vibe is this fancy Haunted Mansion-themed Ear Headband. The embroidered details, such as the bats, all glow in the dark. My favorite feature is the teeny hat that sits off-center on top.

Far more plain in comparison are these Haunted Mansion sweatpants. The only embellishment on the garment is the “HM” and “Haunted Mansion” found on the left thigh. Which style do you prefer?

You’ll find even more recently released Haunted Mansion merchandise in my previous Disneyland Merchandise Update.

Ear Headbands for the Masses

The Haunted Mansion design was not the only recent Ear Headband release.

This one was originally sold at EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion, which is why the ears resemble pizzas. And now I am hungry for pizza, and I completely blame Disney.

Going for that DIY look, this Ear Headband has felted ears with contrast stitching, topped with a bow dotted with different sizes of buttons.

And this one is made in collaboration with Loungefly. The print on the ears matches a new Loungefly Mini Backpack (shown later in this Update).

All That New Apparel

Another Walt Disney World transplant, this ombre Spirit Jersey was created for the EPCOT’s France Pavilion. The back of the Spirit Jersey has the word “Bonjour” with Minnie Mouse reading a book underneath it.

The Main Street Electrical Parade will end on September 1, but there is still plenty of time for Disney to squeeze in some new themed merchandise releases.

This sweatshirt has light-up elements embedded into the front graphic. Flip a switch on the inside of the garment to turn the effect on and off. It also has some snazzy retro art on one of the sleeves.

This girl’s shirt shares the retro look.

And if you want a different kind of Disney retro style, there are two new adult-sized graphic tees that are perfect for the job. The first has an image of the original Disneyland main gate ticket on the front. And the other celebrates the old-timey land of Main Street, USA, with a Victorian-styled font.

And One for Our Furry Friends

This Disney Tails pet shirt also goes the old-school route with distressed artwork of Mickey Mouse as he appeared in decades past.

A Section Just for Star Wars

Heroes & Villains released even more Star Wars apparel! Adding to the line-up that we saw in the previous Merchandise Update are two shirts, one long-sleeved and one short-sleeved.

Darth Vader gets some new merchandise in the form of a graphic tee with art from the Disney+ series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a baseball cap.

That’s no tote bag… It’s a Grogu-themed picnic blanket! The 60-inch by 72-inch blanket zips up for handy transportation and storage.

Odds & Ends

As promised, here is the Chibi Parks Icons Loungefly Mini Backpack that matches the Ear Headband seen earlier in this article. The print is easier to see on this rather than on the Ear Headband, and while I am not generally a fan of all-over prints, I am rather fond of this one. If you plan on buying one for yourself, be sure to examine them to pick the one with the arrangement of the artwork that you like best. Each one is different.

And Loungefly didn’t leave the nuiMOs out in the cold (heat?) either. Here is the new Mickey Balloon-shaped Mini Backpack made just for those small, posable plushes.

When I am feeling overwhelmed, I find hugging a plush friend helps, and Disney has made two new characters in their weighted stress-relief styles: Sulley and Lotso! Sulley is larger and weighs a bit more than Lotso, but they are both totally cuddle-worthy.

It is hot right now at the Disneyland Resort, and if you want to cool off while adding a bit of Disney flair, these new folding fans are for you. The most recent designs are one inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, one full of vintage movie posters, and one with Jack Skellington’s boney face on it (that one has a Zero charm hanging from it).

The next few items aren’t necessarily tied to Disneyland, but they incorporate some of Disney and the Disney Parks. We thought this would be good for our readers that want to keep up on the latest Disney merchandise from our favorite brands.

Funko Games Brings the Magic of a Day at the Parks to Your Home

We’re stepping out of the Disneyland Resort and into Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, thanks to Funko Games’ newest addition. Disney Happiest Day Game: Magic Kingdom Park Edition takes 2 to 6 players on a whirlwind visit to Magic Kingdom. Players can choose between 6 different characters as their game pieces: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy.

Over the course of a gaming session, which usually lasts about 20 minutes, the game board will change from day to night as players race to collect the most stars, which are acquired by matching game board spaces to your cards full of attractions, beloved characters, and more. The game ends like every good day at the Magic Kingdom, with Tinker Bell flying over Cinderella’s Castle.

You can purchase Disney Happiest Day Game: Magic Kingdom Park Edition on Amazon for $24.99.

Oogie Boogie Interactive Plush from Kidrobot is Crawling with Bugs!

Kidrobot is taking its cue from Disneyland and starting the Halloween festivities early with their new Interactive Oogie Boogie Plush ($39.99). The 16-inch tall stuffed version of Nightmare Before Christmas’s Boogeyman comes with three terrified-looking plush bugs that you can stuff into his mouth and pull back out again. Yum! Oogie Boogie (and his poor bugs) are available for preorder and expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2022.
