When I saw that Disney was offering an Adventures By Disney trip to every Disney Park across the globe, I was so envious! The guests going on that trip are going to have such an amazing adventure! How do I know?
Being such big Disney fans ourselves, and my wife being the ultimate travel planner and organizer, back in 2018 we set out to make that ultimate Disney trip ourselves, visiting all twelve Disney Parks in less than 12 months! And since we do everything as a family, of course, we took the kids. Our 3 and 4 year olds are great travelers!

I wanted something to commemorate our visit to every Disney park, and I was a little surprised Disney didn’t offer anything. The US National Park Service has stamps that you can collect in each of their parks, and they are unique to each location. It would be awesome if Disney offered something like that!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything like that offered by Disney, but I didn’t let that stop me. I pride myself on my creativity, so I set off to make it myself. My own Disney Passport! I created each of the “stamps” myself.
At the end of this article, I’ll have a link to where you can make your very own Disney Passport too! My passport includes the dates that we visited the parks. For the intent of this article, your passport will be stamped with the opening date of each park.

Here’s the very first “stamp” I designed: Disneyland. The Original. I wanted this one to have the oval look just like a Cast Member’s classic name tag. And every name tag has that person’s hometown, so Anaheim has to be on there somewhere. Plus it’s got the tiny tagline “The Happiest Place On Earth.” I love it!

Then came Disney California Adventure. I really like how this one came out. I took the inspiration from the screens you see at the beginning of Soarin’ Over California, where all the cities you’re going to visit come out of the screen at you. Taking that, I outlined the whole stamp with cities of California. I had to add a few more to get the type small enough that it’s not immediately noticeable. I also tried to include the locations of many of the Disney facilities, like Burbank, Glendale, Emeryville, and Anaheim.

On October 1st, 1971, after years of secrecy and then 4 years of construction, the Magic Kingdom was opened in Florida. The first Disney Park outside of California. The iconic Cinderella castle is one of the most photographed places in the world and had to be featured in this stamp.

There was no question that the stamp for Epcot had to be round, as a tribute to the iconic golf ball, Spaceship Earth.

I had a hard time deciding whether to make this the original Disney-MGM Studios logo, but ultimately went with what it’s named now. Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Because the park is dedicated to classic movies and tv shows, the stamp is not so subtly fashioned as a film strip.

I really liked the logo from Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the only way I could figure out how to keep the animals was to go two-toned. Can stamps be two-toned? I’m going to say yes. It’s also the first use of negative space in my stamp series, where the letters are the absence of color. For the ring, I took the leaves of the Tree of Life, squished and squashed it and then made it circular, like a globe.

Tokyo Disney Sea is a Disney Park like no other. Centered around a nautical theme, a massive lake, and seven different Ports (lands), I wanted this stamp design to look similar to a porthole on a ship.

Switching continents, we’re now jumping over to Europe for Disneyland Paris. While the park originally opened as EuroDisney, it was later renamed to Disneyland Paris. In 2007, on our first visit to Europe, my wife and I went with a tour group. The day we were in France, the rest of our tour group was going to visit the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre, and finish their day at the Moulin Rouge. We told our tour operator that we were splitting from the group and going somewhere else. He was a bit shocked. “You’re going to skip seeing Paris to go to… Disneyland?”
Yes. Yes we are.
It was our first Disney park outside the US and it was amazing. We knew we’d have to go see them all.
Paris is known as the City of Light. I love all the stars on the Disneyland Paris logo and had to include a few extras in my stamp.

The Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is very similar in theme to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I designed the stamp’s border to mimic a film strip.

And now we’re headed back to the Asian Disney Resorts. Hong Kong Disneyland, the smallest of the Disney Parks, opened in 2005. Actually compared to Disneyland, it’s about 80% of the size. So I took the oval Disneyland stamp, cut off the sides, leaving roughly 80% to make this one.

The newest Disney park is in Shanghai, China. It would have been amazing to visit a Disney park on opening day. Crazy I’m sure, but still amazing.
In China, a circle represents oneness and harmony. The Chinese characters below the English letters also say Shanghai Disney Resort.

So those are all the different stamps for each of the twelve Disney Parks. I needed something to put those stamps on though. I started with a scan of a passport.

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, doing new things, because we’re curious, and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. – Walt Disney

This passport needs a little bit of Disney plussing. I added a continental map and then highlighted each of the Disney Park locations with a classic Mickey.
