Welcome to the Disneyland Merchandise Update! There’s tons of fresh merchandise released at the Resort since our last Update and we’re going to cover what’s new and noteworthy. There are so many new things that this Update has been split into two parts.
The items detailed within this first part is a new collection that glimmers and shimmers, a very pricey merchandise collaboration, and all sorts of apparel – PLUS, we share the winner of our Funko Make-A-Wish Pop figure contest. Let’s take a look…

Introducing the Earidescent Shimmer Collection
The Earidescent Shimmer Collection is made to match a collection of the same name created for Walt Disney World to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The color scheme is steel blue with iridescent gold.

There are several shirts (including a child-sized Spirit Jersey!) in this collection, all of which include a Classic Mickey graphic and the Disneyland logo. Some have Sleeping Beauty Castle as well. Other goodies include an eye-catching sequin-covered Ear Headband, a Hidden Mickey-shaped Popsocket, a hat, and a tumbler with a straw. There is also a Loungefly Mini Backpack from this collection, that is already sold at Walt Disney World, but has not made its way to this coast yet.

Disney Collaborates with Coach
The latest high-end line of products to hit the Disneyland Resort comes to us courtesy of the Disney X Coach Collection. Like the Earidescent Shimmer Collection, this was also created to honor Walt Disney World’s 50th birthday. The merchandise, which ranges from apparel to bags and wallets to Ear Headbands, is sold at several shopping locations around the Resort. You can also purchase them from Coach’s online store and shopDisney.

Ready for A Ball or A Trip to the Mall
The latest Disney Dress Shop Dress is inspired by the classic outfit worn by Roger Rabbit’s love, Jessica Rabbit. This seems like an odd choice, given that Disney decided to cover up the character’s slinky dress in Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin. Regardless, the piece is a well-done design with fun touches like the character-filled dress lining and a heart-shaped zipper pull.

Denim jackets are coming back with a Princess twist. Styles feature Tiana, Pocahontas, and Cinderella, represented with art on the jacket’s back. The front of the jackets all look the same (though, in different colors), without art but housing plenty of four pockets (two side pockets and two breast pockets).

Crop tops are still popular (despite my personal distaste for the style) and two new Princess-inspired crop tops have popped up. The first is a Rapunzel cropped denim jacket. The second is a cropped hoodie themed to Belle.

Interestingly, this bucket hat is not made by Stoney Clover Lane but rather copies its style of fuzzy letter patches and other themed embellishments. It has the word “dreamer” along with icons representing different princesses. I presume the rainbow is for Rapunzel since it also appears on her themed cropped denim jacket.

Apparel for Everyone
Disney seems to put an emphasis on appealing to women and girls when it comes to apparel. Thankfully, a number of new men’s (and unisex) shirts have also arrived.
The first two are souvenir-style shirts, made to help remind you of your trip to Disneyland. One has a more modern, stylized look, and the other utilizes old promotional art.

There are also a few that make use of the classic-looking Mickey and friends. Some of them are men’s sleeveless shirts.

Leaning even further into the retro look are these shirts.

There are also a few pieces for kids as well as an adult hoodie with similar art.

When there is a chill in the air, this Hidden Mickey woven poncho is a fun new option.

While this section is not intended to focus on women’s clothes, I would be remiss in failing to mention this new Tinker Bell sleeveless shirt in a women’s cut.

Coming Soon – Main Street Electrical Parade Merchandise!
Wishables Main Street Electrical Parade Series
With the Main Street Electrical Parade returning to Disneyland this month (along with other nighttime entertainment), it seems only right that April’s Wishables series be themed to the beloved parade. The teaser image below was recently posted on shopDisney, mentioning that the series was “coming soon.” We only see four plushes in the photo, which I presume are the ones hidden in the mystery bag. The chase design (or designs) and separately-packaged plush remain a mystery. I am hoping one will be Elliott the Dragon.

Wishables are typically released on shopDisney on the second Wednesday of every month (also known as “Wishables Wednesday”). However, that was not the case for the Wishables Main Street Electrical Parade Series given that that deadline has now passed. It is possible that the series will launch on April 22, the day that the parade returns, but that is not confirmed. If you absolutely need these in your collection, shopDisney stocks new items roughly around midnight (Pacific time) daily. You can keep checking back daily until they are listed. They should arrive at Disneyland as well but whether that will be on the same day as shopDisney or not is unknown.
More to Look Forward To
Other merchandise created for the Main Street Electrical Parade’s return includes a Loungefly Mini Backpack, an Ear Headband, a Disney Dress Shop Dress, shirts, and leggings. These items will be available both at Disneyland and on shopDisney.
