Disneyland Merchandise Update: New Dress Up and Fun Stuff

You’re not seeing double; it’s Part Two of this week’s Disneyland Merchandise Update. Because the merchandise is so nice, we had to feature it twice (okay, there are actually different items in this one, but you get my point). We’ve got all sorts of ways to add a touch of Disney to your outfits, and even some dapper-looking toys, too. Also included is merchandise for Marvel’s favorite sharpshooter and even some fun finds that are available outside of the Parks.

Now, let’s take a look at what else is new on the shelves at Disneyland…

Comfy Clothes are Always in Fashion

For days that are a bit brisk but don’t quite call for a heavy jacket, this Classic Mickey Cardigan adds some character while providing just the right amount of warmth.

Big Hero 6’s lovable robotic companion, Baymax, now has a whole wardrobe’s worth of clothing to call his own. Options include a Spirit Jersey Hoodie, a T-Shirt that features Baymax and Mochi the cat, a pullover dress, a sweatshirt, a long sleeve polo shirt, and a pocket tee. I love that each piece has a different style and look to them; they didn’t simply reuse the same image on each one.

There are also two new outfits (tops and matching bottoms, sold separately) with airbrush-style art on them. For exercising, there is Tinker Bell set that includes a T-shirt and biker shorts. And then for the post-workout cool-off period, you can change into the long sleeve top and lounge pants with art featuring Sulley from Monsters, Inc.

This T-Shirt is part of the shimmery, golden Sleeping Beauty Castle Collection that has been so popular in stores of late. The front has the Disneyland “D” on the left breast and the back has Sleeping Beauty Castle with the full “Disneyland” wording.

And then there are a pair of seasonal shirts, one for Spring Break and another for St. Patrick’s Day.

This lovely tie-dyed sweatshirt is sized for kids and has art of Princess Tiana and her beau, Prince Naveen (though, he’s still a frog for some reason).

The Wonderground Gallery has some new apparel, too, and they’re all themed to Tomorrowland, using a sketch-like art style. The hoodie has a print covered with current attractions (Astro Orbitor, for example), past ones (the Skyway), and imagery seen in the land. The ringer tee has art of the Peoplemover (ouch! You can still get your Peoplemover fix out at Magic Kingdom, though)) running along the bottom. And finally, there is a black T-shirt for Space Mountain, with the slogan, ” Space Mountain: Flights departing daily from Tomorrowland.”

Be the Prettiest Princess in the Land

Over at the Disney Dress Shop, several new styles have recently come in.

First up is this Princess Tiana Dress Shop Dress. The mosaic-style print on the skirt portion includes imagery of the hardworking heroine’s crown (one of my favorite of princesses’ crowns, actually) along with lilies and lilypads. Hidden behind the right shoulder, you’ll Princess Tiana’s signature and crown embroidered in gold thread.

Fans of the Disneyland Railroad, take note of this themed Dress Shop Dress. It features faux suspenders with front buttoned pockets (which are real, thankfully) and a print honoring the Railroad’s hardworking steam engines.

And for the times you want to dress down but still feel like royalty, there are several different matching tops and bottoms (sold separately) themed to Disney princesses. There is a style dedicated to Tiana, one for Jasmine, and another two that include many different princesses, one with gold line art and another with different panels of characters.

And Also Accessories

The Mickey Waffle Ear Headband, made by Loungefly, is maple-scented and made to match the previously-released Spirit Jersey and Mini Backpack (also by Loungefly).

In other Loungefly news, this style of Mini Backpack and matching wallet (sold separately) were also spotted. The print used reimagines the denizens of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room in the style of Funko’s POP! figures.

While not Loungefly brand like the previous two accessories, this backpack from Disneyland’s 2022 Collection can also help complete your park outfit (and hold your gear while you’re at it).

Hawkeye Takes Aim at Your Wallet

If you liked Marvel’s Disney+ series, Hawkeye, and hoping to score some merchandise, you are in luck. Over at World of Disney, there is a whole section dedicated to the show.

This hoodie emulates the style of Hawkeye’s get-up and is great for everyday cosplay.

Part of the Marvel Select toy line by Diamond Select Toys is this special edition Hawkeye action figure. He comes packaged with his bow, several arrows, a gun with an interchangeable hand to hold it, an interchangeable facial expression, and, of course, Lucky the pizza dog. If you buy this just for Lucky, I would not blame you. We need more Lucky merchandise, in my opinion.

There’s also a toy bow set and a kid’s graphic tee.

What’s New in the Toybox?

The latest Disney Designer Collection doll to make it to the Disneyland resort is none other than Princess Tiana. Her outfit was designed by Launi King, an Executive Director in Disney’s Global Creative and Product Development Department. Some details on this doll include metallic embroidery, several jewelry pieces (multiple bracelets, earrings, and a hair fascinator), a chiffon cape, and organza sleeves.

You’ve heard of the Elf on a Shelf. Now, get ready for the fairy on … your shoulder! The latest of Disney’s magnetic shoulder plushes is none other than that mischievous pixie, Tinker Bell. I must confess, I rather like this interpretation of her. The iridescent wings and pompom-adorned shoes are thoughtful touches as well.

February’s Wishable series was based on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure from Walt Disney World. The mystery bag has either Linguini, Remy, a rat-shaped ride vehicle, Chef Gusteau, or two chase designs. The Emile plush, also from this series, is sold separately and outside of a mystery bag.

The remainder of the second series of those flat, VHS-packaged plush has landed at the Disneyland Resort, joining Toy Story’s Alien plush that arrived several weeks earlier. This second series includes Alien (Toy Story), Genie (Aladdin), Pumbaa and Timon (Lion King), Powerline (A Goofy Movie), Winnie the Pooh (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh). It seemed that Powerline was particularly popular. Are there any of these characters that you want to get your hands on? 

In nuiMOs news, several new outfits were recently released, perfect for your next photo session with those posable plush toys. First up are two toy-sized hooded Spirit Jerseys, one with “Disneyland” on the back and the other simply has “Disney.”

Other outfits were themed cold-weather sports and rainy days.

A little late to the party, thanks to supply-chain issues, the Mickey and Minnie Mouse plushes that were intended for 2021’s Holiday Time finally made their way to the Disneyland Resort.

Odds & Ends

We have many a mug to highlight today. Two of them, the Up and Toy Story 4 ones, come as a set with a themed ceramic spoon. Other beverage vessels include an Aladdin mug, a mug themed to Spider-Man’s suit from Spider-Man: No Way Home, and a Mandalorian mug starring Grogu.

Like the black and gold women’s shirt seen earlier in this Update, this photo frame, water bottle, and dish towel are from the recent Sleeping Beauty Castle Collection and are all very glitzy.

I do, I do, I do believe in … fashionable bag charms! This accent piece has a tiny Hidden Mickey and individual letters dangling from a chain to spell out the word “believe,” fitting for a destination that is based on imagination.

Awesome Finds from Outside of the Parks

Play with Penny and Pals from The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder

Thanks to Disney’s new partnership with World of EPI, fans of the new show, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, are able to purchase some fantastic new character toys, now available at Target.

The first is this Penny Proud fashion doll ($19.99). She is 10-inches tall and has 11 points of articulation. Penny also comes with her smartphone.

The Penny Proud & Crew Mini Figure Set ($19.99) includes five sculpted figures, standing on talk bubble-shaped bases. The characters in the set are Penny, Dijonay, LaCienega, Maya, and Zoey.

Stitch Tries Out a New Look at Build-a-Bear Workshop

The latest Disney plush over at Build-a-Bear Workshop is Tie-Dye Stitch ($36). This dapper version of the lovable alien has ears lined with a plaid print and a matching bowtie. His colors bring to mind Easter Eggs and overall Springtime hues. He measures 15-inches tall and is available to purchase stuffed or unstuffed (so you can stuff yourself at your next visit to a store).
