Any Disney merchandise collector can tell you, Disney merch waits for no one. And since our last Disneyland Merchandise Update there have been so many new goodies that we’ve split this one into two parts. For this first part, let’s take a look at a new collection full of interesting items as well as some surprising merchandise hailing from The Most Magical Place on Earth, Walt Disney World (yes, at Disneyland). Here we go!

A Collection that is All Fun and Games

… until you see the credit card bill, that is. We previously saw a few pieces of the board game-inspired Day in the Park collection, but new items recently landed at stores, singing a siren song to our wallets.

Adult Apparel

This Pullover Sweatshirt features embroidered attractions, accompanied by Mickey and friends.

The art on the front of this hoodie transforms the whole Resort into a game board. There is no art on the back or in the hood’s lining.

This adult’s zippered hoodie is much more detailed, including embroidered and printed elements. On the front breast are Mickey and Minnie prancing through Sleeping Beauty Castle. The back has the same art as the front of the white hoodie. Mickey and the gang are on ride vehicle “game pieces” on the print lining the hood. And down the right sleeve, it reads “Disneyland Resort.”

Another clothing option is this Women’s Ringer Tee. This shirt matches with a (previously featured) nearly-identical kid’s shirt.

The same icon is also found on the front of this unisex shirt. Behind the spinner art is an all-over print with Mickey and the gang, accented with Parks icons and fireworks.

This women’s long sleeve shirt is lightweight and great for layering. On the front is a mock game board and the wording “It’s a great day to have the best day ever – Disneyland Resort.” The sides of the shirt are made from a print with images of Mickey and friends in various ride vehicles and Park icons.

Apparel for Kids

The kids’ zippered hoodie follows the same formula as the adults, for the most part: embroidered character (or characters, in this case) on the front, character-filled hood lining, and a larger graphic on the back. The kids’ one does not have the “Disneyland Resort” wording down a sleeve but rather moved it to the zipper.

Like the women’s long-sleeve shirt, this short-sleeved shirt for girls also features the phrase, “It’s a great day to have the best day ever.” However, this one puts Minnie Mouse front and center in the design.

And to match that girl’s shirt, Disney offers these kid-sized leggings.

Accessories

No new merchandise collection is complete without an Ear Headband. This one is remarkably similar to earlier light-up Mickey Balloon styles. The only differences are the colors of the “balloons” and the “Play in the Park” logo on the band.

This backpack features an all-over print full of attractions and Mickey and his pals enjoying the different aspects of Parks. It also includes a USB port on the outside that connects to a USB cord on the inside, allowing you to leave your backup battery in your backpack and still charge your phone.

You can see the USB port on the upper left side of the backpack in this photo.

The USB cable on the inside of the backpack hangs down to a pocket that fits the majority of portable chargers.

If you are hoping for something more lightweight, this drawstring backpack should fit the bill quite nicely.

There is even a backpack made with kids in mind. This one is smaller than the others but still has a similarly whimsical design on the front.

Other Merchandise

Even though I visit Disneyland frequently, even I am enamored with this travel journal. Beyond the charming art on the covers and pages, the special sections for photos and drawings are too cute! And I love that some of the pages are envelopes, which would be great for storing Park maps.

If you want other ways to store memories, there are also two photo albums, one large and one smaller.

What would a collection based on games be without some actual playthings? Disney wisely included a 1000-piece puzzle, a deck of playing cards, and a Rubik’s Cube from the Play in the Park Collection. Here’s hoping that Disney eventually releases an actual board game sometime down the line. It seems like that would be an obvious addition.

You can note your to-do’s on this themed notepad and then stick it on your fridge, thanks to the magnet on the back of the clipboard portion.

This snowglobe replaces the standard “snow” with colorful Hidden Mickey confetti. The front side of the snowglobe has 3D elements, with the interior art printed on different layers.

The backside of the snowglobe is on the left and the front is to the right.

This sweet ornament set takes the art found on several other pieces from this collection and transforms them into something you can use to decorate. I just love these figures of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, and Goofy, riding attraction vehicles reimagined as game pieces. And as an added feature, each one has a spring at the base, allowing the figure to wobble about.

, Disneyland Merchandise Update: Play in the Park!Compared to many of the items from this collection, this little toothpick holder (or shot glass) seems almost plain. One side has the Mickey boardgame spinner and the other says “Disneyland Resort.”

Walt Disney World Wonders Wander Westward

Walt Disney World-specific merchandise being sold at the Disneyland Resort is not a new phenomenon — but it seems that more and more merchandise is materializing.

50th Anniversary Celebration Party Favors

The 50th Anniversary bash over at Walt Disney World is still going strong, and more of the themed merchandise has made its way to the Disneyland Resort. All of these items are available at the Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney.

Drawing inspiration from one of his art pieces created for the event, Jerrod Maruyama now has a Special Edition vinyl figure of Mickey Mouse and a few of his pals from around the Parks, balancing on teacups. There is also a print and journal with the original design on it.

Also available are several medium-size figures of the peg-legged parrot from Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their 50th Anniversary attire, and a trio of children from “it’s a small world.”

Vinylmation makes a return in the form of this mystery box series, created for Disney World’s 50th birthday. Along with Mickey and friends, figure options also include Dumbo, Big Al from the Country Bear Jamboree, a skeleton pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean, and one mystery design.

Wonderground Gallery is also selling specially-created FiGPiNs of Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, and the Orange Bird. For those unfamiliar with FiGPiNs, they are collectible pins that can also stand on their own to display, thanks to their unique pin backer.

From EPCOT’s Italy and UK Pavillions

EPCOT’s World Showcase has some merchandise of its own to share, all of which are sold at Downtown Disney’s Disney Dress Shop.

Coming to us from the Italy Pavillion is a line of apparel themed to the Italian lemon liqueur, Limoncello. This line includes several women’s shirts in different styles as well as a purse charm.

The United Kingdom Pavillion had even more merchandise offerings than Italy’s. The items all seem to have a rose garden theme and include a zippered hoodie, a women’s shirt with matching leggings (sold separately), a skirt, and a tote.
