It is Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and they are getting the party started with some sparkly new merchandise! The festivities officially begin October 1st, but many of the items were released early. We’ve been updating this article with new items as they are released.
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary merchandise was created with five festive collections in mind. The Celebration Collection includes merchandise featuring Mickey and the gang dressed up in fancy get-ups for the special occasion, along with other colorful items. The Disney Castle Collection utilizes Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle as its central motif. The Vault Collection reimagines merchandise that was originally released around Walt Disney World’s opening day. As the name suggests, the merchandise in the EARidescent Collection shimmers and shines. And finally, the Luxe Logo Collection offers the most upscale merchandise created for the 50th anniversary.
This article focuses on the Celebration and Castle Collections, but we’ll link you to the other lines at the bottom of this article. And it is important to remember that Walt Disney World still has a purchase limit in place of a maximum of two of each item per guest.
Can’t Visit Walt Disney World for the 50th Anniversary?
If you are unable to make it over to Walt Disney World but still want the opportunity to purchase some lovely merchandise, all hope is not lost. Some items of these items will be available for purchase on shopDisney. On October 1, merchandise from the Celebration and Vault Collections will be listed. Some of the collections will arrive at a later, currently unannounced, date.
Celebration Collection
Clothing
This sweatshirt combines a nice, big screen-printed graphic of a Tuxedo’d Mickey Mouse with a smaller, metallic 50th logo on the chest. The combination of the two styles works well together.
This camp shirt has an ‘”it’s a small world” vibe to it, don’t you think?
Minnie and Cinderella Castle are printed on the chest of this women’s V-neck shirt.
Man, Disney sure loves their crop tops. Here we see a cropped hoodie and matching lounge pants, sold separately.
As we can see from the graphics on this sweatshirt, T-shirt, and kid’s raglan shirt, Mickey is getting his tux all neat and pretty for the big party.
A similar graphic of Mickey with Donald, Goofy, and Pluto is seen on this sweatshirt and this tie-dyed shirt.
This kid’s zippered jacket is eye-catching.
If your littlest one loves Minnie, you might want to give this onesie a look.
This new Minnie Mouse costume dress resembles the outfit Minnie is wearing for the 50th celebration.
This ringer T-shirt may not have Mickey and Co. on it but it highlights some of Walt Disney World’s beloved attractions.
Accessories
If you are going to Walt Disney World, the odds are good that a Magicband is in your future (though they are no longer required). And if you are heading there for the 50th anniversary, you can snag one of these beauties.
I think we can all agree that the Florida sun is brutal but there are two new themed hats to help provide some relief from the harsh rays.
Nothing says “Disney Parks merchandise” quite like a Mickey Ear Hat and this one is extra-special. It has iridescent stuffed ears with a matching Mickey patch on the front.
Ear Headband party! We’ve got one with a foam bow that is remarkably similar to something released for Disneyland’s fiftieth celebration (with a different color scheme), a design from Loungefly covered with Mickey and his pals, and one that lights up. The last one is especially notable because it is charged via USB cable, which is included with the Ear Headband. I would love to see this feature incorporated into more light-up items in the future.
This light-up bow would be perfect paired with the Minnie Mouse costume dress for kids we saw earlier.
This Loungefly Mini Backpack not only matches one of the Ear Headbands seen earlier but it even has a special pocket to hold them! You can unzip the designated pocket to reveal straps with metal snaps, used to secure the Ear Headband.
It is not a celebration until commemorative Crocs are released for it. These shoes are decorated with art of Mickey and friends and come with a special Walt Disney World 50th charm attached to them.
Baublebar contributed this festive (and likely very heavy) pair of earrings featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse with fireworks.
If you don’t fancy wearing your Ear Headband on your head but still want to show your love for the accessory, Alex and Ani have this beaded bracelet with an Ear Headband charm.
And while this beaded bracelet may not have a fancy pedigree, it is still a lovely accessory.
Toys
You can purchase plush toy versions of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Chip n’ Dale (the pair are a set) in the same outfits seen on other 50th Anniversary merchandise. My favorites are Pluto and Chip n’ Dale. What about you?
There is also a mini plush keychain of Mickey in a similar outfit.
If you are a fan of those posable stuffed nuiMOs, Walt Disney World guests will find a themed Spirit Jersey sized just for the toys. The back says “Walt Disney World” and the front chest has a little “50” on it.
While not as huggable as a stuffed friend, this 50th Anniversary Cinderella Castle playset is incredibly impressive. It includes figures of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy along with an interactive Cinderella Castle, with Monorail, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Mad Tea Party elements. One of my favorite details is that the playset’s castle is decorated with the same sign and anniversary ribbons as the real one.
Decor and Home Goods
This item is going to sell like hotcakes, I guarantee it. It is a foaming hand soap dispenser that magically creates a hidden mickey out of soap when pushed down.
You’ll find magnets adorned with Mickey and company as well, including a magnetic clip!
For all your beverage consumption needs, there is a character-filled mug and an attraction-covered water bottle.
On one side of this spinning ornament, you’ll find Mickey’s smiling face. On the other, are tons of attractions found at Walt Disney World.
Other
I love that Disney is incorporating reusable utensils into more of their merchandise collections. This set has a reusable plastic fork, knife, and spoon, all packaged in this fun carrying case. I do wish the utensils were made of bamboo as opposed to plastic but this still a step in the right direction.
Make a far-off friend insanely jealous and send them one of these lenticular postcards. Use the new pen seen below as well for double the fun.
Sweet treats like a tin of mints, packaged flavored popcorn, a fancy chocolate truffle box, a giant lollipop, and a milk chocolate bar with popping candy on the inside are all themed to the occasion. There is even a special coffee blend by Joffrey’s crafted especially for the celebration.
Are there pins? Yes, there are pins! And starter sets, lanyards, and lanyard medallions, too!
I must confess, I did not know that a “souvenir booster pack” was a thing but I do now. It contains magnets, buttons, a keychain, and such, all in one convenient package.
Disney Castle Collection
Apparel
Do you wear women’s shirts and like castles? Here are two shirts just for you.
In terms of layering, options from the Castle Collection include a hoodie and track jacket.
This special polo shirt was created by Nike.
This camp shirt is a lot less busy than the multicolored one from the Celebration Collection.
The Partners Statue gets some love on the chest of this T-shirt.
Accessories
I absolutely adore this Loungefly Mini Backpack. It has gorgeous art of Cinderella Castle on the front, complemented by lovely golden accents on the from and embroidery on the side. It has one compartment compared to the typical two-pocket model seen more frequently in Disney Parks. I would buy this one in a heartbeat.
This tote bag has a good capacity and padded handles to boot.
Nike gets in on the Partners Statue appreciation with this hat.

Toys
Over the past few years, I have come to appreciate puzzles as family activities. However, I do think that with all that similar-looking sky, this one might be tricky.
Decor and Home Goods
Cinderella Castle looks just like an old-time photograph on this tasseled dish towel set.
The delicate castle art looks great on ceramic, as we can see from this mug and jewelry box.
Whether as a magnet or on top of an ornament, the figures of Cinderella Castle are almost as striking as the real thing.
For optimal results, I suggest you stick a photo of your loved ones in front of Cinderella Castle inside this castle-themed magnet frame.
Thanks to this throw blanket, you can wrap yourself in a large woven image of the Partners statue.

In addition to the special merchandise collections, Disney has also updated the look of their reusable shopping bags, which are sold at many stores at the Resort. All three bag sizes (small, medium, and large) now have 50th anniversary art on them.
