Even though trick-or-treating and traditional Halloween parties are not happening this year, the Disney Stores and shopDisney are hoping to get families into the spirit of the spooky season with their Halloween Dance Party Contest. You’ll have an opportunity to engage in some family fun time and potentially win one of four $1000 gift cards, good at shopDisney and Disney Stores. The contest runs from September 18 to October 18.

How to Enter the shopDisney Halloween Dance Party Contest

Whether you are doing the steps from Thriller or the Hokey Pokey, the only thing that matters is that you are having fun. Oh, and meeting the rest of the contest criteria. Here are the rules:

Disney Costumes for Kids and Adults

As you saw in the rules, you’ll need to be in costume as either a Disney, Pixar, Marvel, or Star Wars character. We covered quite a few options in a previous Halloween post but now seems like a great time to take another look at some of what shopDisney has to offer.

Queen of Hearts Deluxe Costume for Adults ($79.99 – currently marked down to $63.99)

The Queen of Hearts’ outfit is captured perfectly in this costume. I love the way it showcases the dress’s simple yet easily identifiable details. They even included her crown!

This costume is available here.

Peter Pan Costume for Adults ($35.99 – currently marked down to $28.79)

I think we all wish we could be like the ageless Peter Pan at times. This costume lets you do just that for a night (just don’t try to fly!). And unlike those old Peter Pan hats you used to find at Disney Parks, which had a flimsy feather that inevitably fell off, the hat included with this costume uses a metallic fabric faux feather that appears to be sewn on. I can get behind that.

This costume is available here.

Captain Hook Costume Collection for Kids (prices range from $16.49 to $44.99 – currently marked down to $13.59 to $35.99)

Captain Hook has such an elaborate outfit that it requires multiple items (and therefore, purchases) to complete the look. If you are cool with that, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more fitting outfit for the pirate-loving kid in your family. Plus, it would make such a cute Father-Child combo, when paired with the adult Peter Pan Costume.

This costume collection is available here.

Alice Costume for Kids ($44.99 – currently marked down to $35.99)

It is all about the details with this Alice costume for kids. From the checkered apron to the broach to the character-filled pattern on the skirt, a fan of the animated classic is sure to adore this one. Goodness, it makes me wish I could wear it!

This costume is available here.

The Child Costume for Baby ($24.99)

It seems we cannot escape the pop culture phenomenon that is Baby Yoda (sorry, The Child). And with The Mandalorian getting a second season on October 30, it’s all the more reason to break out this themed costume of everyone’s favorite 50-year old green baby.

This costume is available here.
