Here we go, folks! Information on the new reservation system for Walt Disney World has finally been released. Here’s what you need to know to visit the parks when they begin reopening on July 11.

How to Snag a Disney World Theme Park Reservation
The new park reservation system, called Disney Park Pass, will roll out to guests in advance of the opening of the parks as follows:
Existing Ticket Holders:
- June 22 – Disney Park Pass system opens to guests with a confirmed Disney Resort Hotel reservation and linked valid theme park admission (including Annual Passes).
- June 26 – Disney Park Pass system opens to all Annual Passholders.
- June 28 – Disney Park Pass system opens to all other existing ticket holders.

Annual Passholders will be glad to know that they will have an opportunity to make park reservations prior to the general public.
While opening dates have been announced, there has been no word on how far out you can make park reservations for.
Park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability can change until the reservation is finalized. So keep checking for the days you want to be available.
For now, guests can only select one park per day. Park Hopping will not be available. Though, Disney has stated that they would like to offer park hopping again as soon as possible and will continue selling the popular option for 2021 tickets.
New Ticket Disney World Resort Sales:
By June 28th – New Disney Resort Hotel packages and theme park tickets will go on sale for arrivals in 2021.
Later this summer – Based on availability, sales of 2020 tickets and Disney Resort Hotel bookings will resume.
Planning a New Trip for Next Year:
By June 28, all guests will be able to purchase new Disney Resort Hotel packages and theme park tickets, as well as make their park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021 as the phased reopening continues. Added features are coming to My Disney Experience, like the existing digital key feature.
Here’s How You Will Make a Park Pass Reservation:
Guests with valid admission will be able to make a Park Pass reservation HERE beginning June 22nd for those with a Disney Resort reservation. Those with an Annual Pass or other valid admission will be able to book their park access on following dates as detailed above.
Once park reservations are available for your pass, you’ll follow these steps at the following link: Disney World Park Pass Reservations
- Step 1: Link Your Admission to Your Disney Account
To get started, you’ll need valid park admission that’s linked to your Disney account. - Step 2: Create Your Party
When you begin to make a reservation, you’ll be prompted to create your party from your Family & Friends list. - Step 3: Select a Date and Park
Choose the date and the theme park that you’d like to visit from the available reservations. - Step 4: Review and Confirm Your Plans
Carefully review and confirm your selected park and date.
Free MagicBands Ending
A big change on the horizon is that MagicBands will no longer be provided to resort guests for free. However, discounts will be provided to hotel guests to purchase from a variety of bands.

Guests who do not wish to purchase a MagicBand will be able to use the Disney World app or an RFID enabled Key to the World Card. Is this the beginning of the end for the Magic Band? We don’t think so. But many more guests may begin using their app or a card instead. We think this will also bring Walt Disney World more in line with what may be coming to Disneyland as well.

Do you think Disney’s phased access to park reservations sounds fair? Should Passholders be given access before other ticket holders who may be booked in Orlando area hotels?
