Summer may look a little different this year but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t plan on having fun. Disney has plenty of new and upcoming merchandise to help facilitate those good times. We looked at several summery items a few weeks ago, including a pool float-themed ear headband, tie-dyed spirit jerseys, and some fruity accessories, but there’s so much more to explore. Slap on a little SPF and let’s get a move on!
Summer Apparel and Swimwear
I am genuinely jealous that adults don’t get such cute Lilo & Stitch apparel (let alone swimwear) compared to kids! This two-piece swimsuit for girls is covered in the same print as Lilo’s dress in the film with a little Stitch appliqué on the bottom portion. And it is accompanied by a headband with a tropical (foam) flower accent. Too sweet!

You’d be hard-pressed to name a more iconic duo than Mickey and his trusty pal, Pluto. The pair are the stars of this bold boys’ rash guard, which provides SPF 50+ UV protection.

Indoor Fun
Crafted by Ravensburger, this board game based on the Jungle Cruise attraction found at Disney Parks, allows for two to four players. The cards used in the game even contain some of the Skipper’s beloved jokes. Here is the premise:
Welcome to the world-famous Jungle Cruise! You’ve been hired to transport a boatload of cargo and passengers down the river to Jungle Navigation Company Headquarters. There, company president Alberta Falls will appoint one family of passengers as temporary caretakers—and your new bosses—while she goes on a much-needed sabbatical. Get your summer reading list ready with these new releases from Disney.
“Colossal Book of Cranium-Crushers” is the third book in Brain Games’ activity book series and it looks like a doozy. It’s packed with things like mazes, crossword puzzles, and art challenges. And even though this book is more geared towards the younger set, I am intrigued by the promise of sudoku puzzles.

For those hoping to pack some extra “punch” into their dishes, Marvel Eat The Universe is the way to go. With names like Hulk Smash Potatoes and Dazzler’s Glittering Pizza Bagels, these recipes cover a variety of skill levels and sound like inventive ways to tie-in characters. The only question I have is: will there be shwarma?

If that last cookbook wasn’t fantastical enough for you, may I recommend this one, based on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? The majority of what is included within its pages aren’t foodstuffs found in Disney Parks but are still themed to Batuu’s Black Spire Outpost. So if you want to eat like the “locals,” this is where to look.
