Let’s admit it: we are all craving a bit of that ‘theme park magic’ right now. And while there is no reopening of our beloved parks in sight, there are a few options that may ease the sting a bit. Through the blessings of home delivery, you can get some of the quintessential theme park favorites that we miss so much. Let’s take a look at five items (presented in no particular order) that you can order and enjoy in your home!
1. Boysenberry Products from Knott’s Berry Farm
Knott’s Berry Farm’s annual Boysenberry Festival may have been postponed for 2020 but you can still order a few of the products that would have been sold for the event, along with some other goodies at their online marketplace. Here are a few I’ve have been eyeing:
The Boysenberry BBQ Sauce – 15 oz. ($7.99) pairs well with just about every kind of meat. We use it as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets in our house. At Knott’s, they’ve got this goodness-in-a-bottle slathered on beef, chicken, boar, you name it, and I can never get enough! Plus, summer (aka Barbecue Season!) is just around the corner, and it’s best to be prepared…

According to Knott’s lore, Mrs. Knott, in an effort to not waste ingredients, combined leftover cake batter with cookie dough. The Cake Batter Cookies ($9.99) are currently available in a Boysenberry flavor. These cookie/cake-hybrids have boysenberries baked inside and are topped with a sweet glaze. That sounds like a dessert I can get behind!

What better way is there to wash down the Boysenberry BBQ entree and dessert than with some Boysenberry Punch ($9.99)? This is the same beverage served in Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. A sugar-free version is also available ($9.99). For those of you lucky enough to have a SodaStream at home, you can even add this to the carbonated water to make your own boysenberry soda!

2. Tio Pepe’s Churros (served at Disneyland)
Did you know that those tasty churros sold at Disneyland aren’t made in-house? They aren’t even a Disney brand! They are, in fact, Tio Pepe’s Churros from J&J Snack Foods Corp. And they come in a variety of sizes and flavors (I’m looking at you, Oreo Churro). And the best news is the majority of the varieties can be prepared with just a standard oven or toaster oven!

3. Dole Pineapple Soft Serve Mix (tastes like Disney Parks’ Dole Whip)
Disney recently shared a recipe for their Dole Whip on their My Disney Experience app. For reference, here it is:
- 1 big scoop of icecream
- 4 oz of pineapple juice
- 2 cups of frozen pineapple
- Add all ingredients to a blender until it’s a thick drink.
- Add your swirl and then you’re done
But anyone who’s tried it knows that it’s not the real deal. In fact, the real Disneyland version is dairy-free and doesn’t use icecream at all. It’s delicious, but it’s not the same thing as the soft-serve mix Disney buys from Dole.
If you’re looking for a more authentic frozen pineapple treat, you can buy your own bag of Dole Pineapple Soft Serve Mix ($34 for a 4.4 pound bag) to replicate the taste. To prepare it, you’ll need an ice cream maker or a mixer with a freezer bowl attachment. For those with the hardware (or willing to purchase said hardware), it may be a worthwhile endeavor while the parks are closed.

4. Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars
I’ll be honest, this one is a toughie. Given the nature of the item, the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars (price varies by location) have to be purchased locally so they don’t melt away while sitting on your doorstep. They can still be delivered to you, though thanks to grocery delivery services. They are currently available from Ralphs or Kroger, in a pack of six.

5. Disney Parks Pins and Other Parks Merchandise
Want something that is going to last past mealtime? MiceChat’s got you covered there, too. We previously reported on shopDisney selling the Disney Parks trading pins online, including the Limited Edition ones. But beyond pins, there is plenty of other merchandise to be had. Categorized by destination (Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Aulani, and Disney Cruise Line), collectors can get their hands on all sorts of goodies.
