It is almost Spring and my thoughts can’t help but turn to … eggs! Yes, it is time for the age-old tradition of hunting for those eggs hidden by a certain Bunny (or Mouse, in this case). We were invited to preview the Disney Store’s “Magical Egg Hunt Adventure” experience at their Glendale Galleria location. And not only did we take part in the event, we took a little extra time to scope out some new merchandise for you as well. . .
The Disney Store Magical Egg Hunt Adventure is On!
The Magical Easter Egg Hunt is returning to all U.S. and Canada Disney Stores (including outlets) for its second year in a row. The entire experience, which includes the map, sticker, and collectible egg with a mystery figurine, costs $9.99 ($13.99CA) and takes place every day during normal store hours. The Magical Easter Egg Hunt is only available from March 13 through April 12, 2020.

In addition to the map, sticker, and (later on) the mystery figurine, participants are also given one of these paper hats.
Here is a peek at what the “eggs” look like. They resemble their respective stickers but also have little numbers on them. That tells you at which spot to place that particular sticker. Finding all eight of these is not easy, even for an adult. Truth be told, I never actually found Pluto. Be sure to look above and around displays.
After your hard, egg-hunting work, turn your completed map in at the register. You are then given one of these cute little capsules. Word to the wise: the lid twists off; don’t try to pull it.
Gawrsh, I got Goofy! And he isn’t the only thing inside that mystery package. There is also a sprinkling of confetti so be mindful of where you open it.
Spring into New Disney Store Merchandise
In addition to the Egg Hunt, there are several new seasonal items to partake in.
What is Easter without the Easter Bunny? Not only have Mickey and Minnie taken to dress as the holiday rabbit but Stitch and Angel have gotten in on the act, too. The marbled colors on their bunny suits are quite eye-catching, not unlike a dyed easter egg. These plushes ($22.99 each) are available now and can be found both at Disney Stores as well as shopDisney.

The Disney Store also sells several fancy dresses for girls. They are perfect for special occasions, like holidays and family get-togethers.
Also spring-themed is an upcoming box for the Disney Bedtime Adventure Box subscription service. The standard subscription will get you everything seen in the first picture. But if you want that large Thumper plush to be included, you need the Deluxe subscription. You can, of course, also buy the Thumper plush ($34.99) by himself. He is from the Disney Store’s Cuddleez line.
Finally, there are two very special limited edition Frozen 2 dolls, Snow Queen Elsa and Queen Anna ($119.95 each). These dolls were featured previously in our Toy Fair 2020 Highlights and with good reason – they are gorgeous! They aren’t available for purchase just yet. You’ll need to wait until March 14. But at that time, you’ll be able to find them at Disney Stores as well as shopDisney. Snow Queen Elsa has an edition size of 8,500 while Queen Anna has 8,000. So don’t sleep on these!
