The holiday season is in full flurry here in Southern California as several major theme parks have begun to unleash their version of holiday cheer onto the world. Knott’s Berry Farm has fully transformed for the holiday season with elaborate decorations, festive food items, and extravagant shows. And while other parks are skimping a bit on the entertainment component of holiday magic, Knott’s Berry Farm has made Christmas entertainment central to their offerings.
Let’s take a look at what Santa Snoopy has delivered to the stages of Knott’s Merry Farm.
“Merry Christmas Snoopy!” on Ice
Merry Christmas Snoopy is a lively Christmas tale told through the way of ice skating and dance! The show features Snoopy and his pals as they celebrate the holidays and excitedly await for the arrival of the big man himself, Santa Clause!

The Peanuts gang make appearances throughout the performance alongside classic clips from their animated show.

Many famous holiday tunes are played throughout the performance as talented ice-skaters and dancers glide across the ice in mesmerizing precision.
There are several touching moments in the show that are downright beautiful to watch. If you only have time for one show, this one is a must-see! You can find “Merry Christmas Snoopy” in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre.
Home for the Holidays
Knott’s Berry Farm has also produced a brand new Christmas show called “Home for the Holidays,” which is presented on the Calico stage. We are happy to report that Knott’s has a hit on their hands. “Home for the Holidays” tells an old-school Christmas tale that highlights the importance of family, traditions, and spreading Christmas cheer.

The show follows the Harper family as they prepare their home for a Christmas Eve gathering surrounded by their friends and family. As the guests (the audience is included!) arrive and excitement begins to rise, the group can’t help but break out into festive song and dance as they celebrate Christmas together.

There is something special about a small-town Christmas celebration, and “Home for the Holidays” excels because it chooses to focus on the core values of the holiday season. This show does a wonderful job of reminding the audience what the holiday season is really all about.
A Peanuts Guide to Christmas
Looking for something to entertain the little ones in your family? “A Peanuts Guide to Christmas” is a fun, if silly, show starring your favorite Peanut characters as they sing renditions of classic Christmas songs. The re-imagined songs are catchy and cute, although sharp-eared spectators might be able to catch a few clever lyrical lines woven throughout the performance.
This show is located in the Camp Snoopy Theater and is a great opportunity to get some laughs in during your Merry Farm trip, while also celebrating the holiday season with the Peanuts gang.
Calico Saloon Christmas Show
The “Calico Saloon Christmas Show” is held in, you guessed it, the Calico Saloon and is a comedy-meets-Christmas experience. Set to music played from a live piano, the show depicts how the residents of Calico celebrated Christmas in the 1880s.
The Calico Saloon is an intimate experience in comparison to other theaters at Knott’s. It can be difficult to find a seat, but magical if you do.
Calico Carolers
Join the Calico Carolers for some holiday classics. You’ll find the merry troupe roaming the town of Calico with bells in their hands. Caroling is an old-time tradition, and this is a great opportunity for your whole family to join in a few rounds of Christmas tunes.
A Christmas Carol/Marley’s Wings
This is the second brand-new show Knott’s added to their entertainment lineup this season, and it is a winner! “Marley’s Wings” is a musical sequel to the classic “A Christmas Carol.” The story follows the ghost of Jacob Marley as he returns to see just how much Ebenezer Scrooge has transformed since his last visit.
The show features new songs such as “Raise the Rafters,” “Christmas in Heaven,” and “The Hum Bug” that all help tell the story and keep the action moving along. In addition to “Marley’s Wings,” “A Christmas Carol” will also be shown on select days. You can find both of these classic Christmas tales being told in the Bird Cage Theatre.
Snow and Glow
End your day by watching fresh snow drift down on Calico’s Main Street! Accompanied by music and dancing lights, this snowfall will take place several times every night during Knott’s Merry Farm. If you are dreaming of a white Christmas but live in Southern California, “Snow and Glow” is the perfect opportunity to see that dream come true!
