A certain long lost resident of the Haunted Mansion is rumored to soon be returning. The story of the Hatbox Ghost is the stuff of legend. While he really existed, the special effect of his head disappearing and reappearing in a hatbox never worked as well in the ride as it did at Imagineering, so the figure was removed from the Haunted Mansion. What technology has Imagineering employed to resurrect Hattie and perfect the effect? We’ll have to wait for that answer.
