Rub a dub, dub, Magic Kingdom’s got a new hub. This week on Dateline Disneyland, we’re looking at the newly opened and completely reimagined central hub of the Magic Kingdom. We have a lot of photos this week, so let’s hop right into it.
On the monorail ride over, we caught a picture of the new interior pattern on the monorails. Very nice.
Welcome to the Magic Kingdom!
Scrims still up on Main Street.
The new Hub area is open, and boy is it nice to not see as many construction walls here.Let’s start with the Tomorrowland side of the Hub.The new artificial lawns allow guests to sit during the day and double as space to watch fireworks at night.
Nice and wide paths to help with crowd congestion.The garden areas are FP+ for fireworks and parades.Wide open spaces where people can sit and relax during their MK day.
New fountains are installed and are quite beautiful.
The character statuettes are now here instead of being in the center of the Hub.
The details around the entire area are quite nice.

There are new trees as well.Rough transition from old pavement to new. Hopefully this gets fixed as the project wraps up.Temporary control towers.Demolition has started here. New castle turrets will go in its place.
Parts of the central Hub are still torn up.
Partners is still in a box.Now time for the Adventureland side of the Hub.
Love the Goofy statue.
Again, FP+ for parades and fireworks.
Guests have wasted no time occupying the new lawns for relaxation during the day.
The view towards the Crystal Palace and Adventureland.This beautiful view didn’t go away.
Another view on the center of the Hub.This old control tower is entirely gone, with another castle turret going here.Overall, I’m very impressed with the Hub remodel. It feels grand and expansive, and should really fix a lot of crowd control issues. It was also beautifully done.

Mermaid is still down for refurbishment.
I went back as the sun was coming down to get some better photos from the new Hub.
Just beautiful.
This gate can easily be closed for the hours when FP+ is being used in the gardens.Roy and Minnie are back in the center of Town Square.
