Hello, and welcome to Dateline Disney World! This week, we’re taking a look at some of the big upcoming changes to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Lights . . . action . . . camera . . .
Welcome to the Studios!
Don’t get too used too accustomed to this sight. The hat is soon to be removed.Walls are still up with no visible progress on the new Starbucks location.Thankfully the ugly Frozen stuff is gone from this area!Get your cameras out and take some final photos of the Sorcerer’s Hat. Disney confirmed to local newspapers last Friday that the Hat will be removed starting in January.The Hat was supposed to be a temporary thing but ended up lasting over a decade.
Hopefully Disney will again let the Chinese Theater be the icon at the end of Hollywood Blvd as it once was when the park opened.
The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow, one of the lowest rated WDW attractions in history, is closing in November.Couple months late here. Oops!
Gotta love the Green Army Men!The FP+ only experiment at Midway Mania seems to be all done.Quite the empty backlot.Wandering Oaken’s is no longer where it was during the summer.The Backlot Tour signage is all down as the attraction is permanently closed.
Christmas time already at Walt Disney World.Wandering Oaken’s is now where the old AFI villain shop was, the old exit to the Backlot Tour.Lots and lots and lots of Frozen merchandise.
All of the Osborne Lights are set and ready to go for their November 7th debut.
The large LED canopy that dances is ready as well.
Will the Muppets last through the changes coming to the park?
Is Gertie safe from change?
Over on Sunset Blvd, the old Cadillac next to the new Starbucks location has yet to return.Legends of Hollywood is ALL Frozen now.Literally everything in the shop is Frozen merchandise.This car went missing for a bit, but is back now.
Time to go!
